The day I had Hunter I got a text from a lady at work saying she heard I went on maternity leave and was wondering if I was still able to meet the next day. 2 minutes later I got a call and voicemail from her saying the same thing. This is the same lady that did the exact same thing a week prior the day my husband's grandmother died (the mtg was originally scheduled the day after her passing). Who does that?! No, lady, I can't meet. And BTW it was just an informational meeting...no urgency at all. Wtf

Wtf lady?! Umm nope. Email and voicemail while youre having a baby. Some nerve.
All the people who keep telling me I shouldn't still be working. I'm 39 weeks. I don't want to be here, but we don't live in Canada. My state job doesn't offer maternity leave, so I'm working until my due date (I planned to work until labor, but I'm calling uncle).
Honestly, I feel lucky that I qualify for FMLA, can take the full 12 weeks, and have saved enough leave to be paid for almost half of that time. Still, I wish all these (mostly) old dudes who keep offering their opinions would get in touch with reality.
My mbf is dedicated to my 16 year old daughter and her made for tv teenage attitude today. Have you ever seen the movie "This is 40?" Girl, get a grip!
@motherhen-2 I feel your pain, I have a parent emailing and FB messaging me asking when I'll be back because she wants a meeting with me, not the person who's taken over my caseload.
My principal. I stayed home today because I was up from 230am on with acid reflux and nausea. I was told to call the school for something "important". She wanted to know who read the most minutes for the school reading challenge in 3rd grade. Lady, you made us turn this in weekly in a Google doc. You couldn't look at the Google doc? You had to bother me at home...37 weeks and feeling sick? Sure sure.

@motherhen-2, I imagine you have to remain professional but I'd have a hard time not expressing my annoyance if someone sent me messages like that while I was on leave.
@Stankonia2014, that stinks! This happened to a friend of mine a few weeks ago. Her baby flipped a few days before her due date. They were able to flip him with an external version and she delivered a few hours later. Are you a candidate for a version if baby doesn't flip on their own?
My mbf is work again. I've had a stretch of unusually difficult cases and I just want to have an easy few weeks. The only thing keeping me from losing it is knowing that I only have 18 work days left before my leave.

I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor, he's out of the office until Wednesday. He has 11 days to flip before I'm induced.
All weekend I was having horrible BH contractions and major pressure/cramping. Throw on top of that a 3yo with a nasty stomach bug which called for a whole lot of Clorox and the dreaded vomit/diarrhea emergency cleanup. FML
Unsolicited opinions.! I had an older man tell me how obs have a lot of unnecessary c sections because they don't want to miss their golf games when I brought up my upcoming c section. No, that's definitely not it. How about I have been trying for a vbac the whole time but this baby is breech AND I have pregnancy induced hypertension so they don't want me to go past 37-38 weeks for my own safety and health!!!!
So much sympathy to the mommas who have breech babies! My DD was breech and refused to flip which made us end up with a c-section. Today I find out if this little one is head down so I can try for my VBAC.

@flyingncmama There was a lot I wanted to say, but I kept it professional. "I had my son this morning. No, I can't meet." I personally would feel horrible if I bothered someone while they were on maternity leave (or recently grieving the loss of someone).
Re: MBF
I have a lot I could bitch about but mainly...I hate my asshole.
