Even though I, too, am guilty of this I still cringe a little bit when we assign personality traits to LOs based on when they arrive. Example: if LO is past due date "She's stubborn like her mama!"
I hate Ikea. Their furniture is cheaply made, and their stores are like really depressing mazes. I don't understand people who think it's fun to shop there.

I'm over all of the piling on to the White House and how awful the current administration is. I think we all know it full well at this point. I hate that the top news headlines of every. single. day. are rehashed over and over. PLEASE start reporting on all the other things going on in this country and the world that are shockingly not administration-related. For the love of Jeebus.

I like wandering through because it is bizarre the amount of weird plastic crap one place can house. I do agree the furniture isn't great though, I am definitely trying to phase out all my old grad school Ikea with better stuff. It served it's purpose but now it is time for an upgrade. I consider it transitional furniture.
@SKZW I find it to be really depressing and frustrating all the new stories coming out of the WH on the daily but I think it is important these things stay in focus because something needs to be done, it is only escalating and we can't afford to be complacent.
@WombThereItIs: Agreed about the importance of keeping a focus on these issues and potential cracks in the system that need to be filled. But if an investigator is hired to suss this out, give her some time to actually do her job and present hard evidence without the trial by media 24/7. I'm all for focus. Just not this circus.
I've never worn one but I think they are cute on some people. I think you need to be thin with a short torso. I'm taller and don't like the wedgie look so they don't work for me.
@starphish18 I love rompers! I can't find many that look good on me since I'm so short and stumpy, but I love them! The only downside is being basically completely naked when going to the bathroom lol
I've never gotten anything from Ikea, so I have no opinion there. I also have no UO of my own.
@erinh2005 - I agree with you in theory, but am also guilty of doing that sometimes. It also annoys me when people (usually MIL) say things like "he's definitely going to be an engineer" about my 18 month old.
@kns1988 - I'm torn about Ikea. I hate the maze aspect and the fact that you can't just run in and grab something quickly....but the kids' section is freaking amazing. I'm already excited to go there and buy all of the things when my son moves to a big boy room. So. Excited.
@SKZW - I agree with @WombThereItIs. While the constant coverage is exhausting and keeps my blood pressure elevated, it is important to stay focused on what is happening. I don't want that buffoon or his administration of yahoos getting away with anything. I'm so beyond tired of him. Semi-related, but this is probably the best thing I've seen in a while:
My potential UO: I hate motorcycles. The "watch out for motorcycles" bumper stickers always annoy me, considering 95% of motorcycle drivers I encounter drive like assholes and make up their own rules of the road (ie. weaving in between cars or driving down the center through traffic jams). I support driving carefully and certainly will avoid hitting another driver, regardless of what they are driving...but don't drive like a dick and then act like everyone is against you. Also, if you drive a motorcycle without a helmet, you're a moron.

We calls those people organ donors in our house.
My sister is a surgeon, who often works trauma cases, and the docs in her hospital refer to motorcycles as "donorcycles." Sad, but people make their own choices when they choose to ride helmetless.

My mom was an ICU nurse for years and uses the same term.
I hate bike lanes. If there's a sidewalk, why can't they just ride on the sidewalk? It gives me anxiety to drive next to a bicyclist in a bike lane thinking their accidentally going to swerve out into traffic.

I have the opposite annoyance- as a runner, I hate when there is a bike lane and people bike on the sidewalk. Also, I'm pretty sure that's illegal in many places.

Bikes are supposed to be in the road and generally aren't allowed on sidewalks. As someone with a spouse that road bikes I feel the opposite way and get annoyed when people don't give bicyclists more room, sometimes the shoulder is really small and they are entitled to the space.
Bikes on sidewalks are actually pretty dangerous to pedestrians, especially in crowded areas. Imagine walking down a sidewalk with a stroller when a bike buzzes by you, it can get sketchy there too.
It's so weird! Even weirder are the high-waisted acid wash jean shorts. It's like people think that if the waist is high, the cheeks can show as much as they want.

Polite and courteous and well-trained cyclists on the road don't bother me. But, if you're going to ride on the road, you HAVE to follow the same rules as the other vehicles. Stop at stoplights, stop signs, etc. I hate when a bicyclist darts out in front of me effectively running a red light because they "saw an opportunity."

Agree on both counts!! I feel like the high-waisted shorts look bad on basically everyone. And rompers can be cute on the right people but so not everyone! And don't get me started on the man version "romp him" or whatever they're being called. WTF.

I think this is probably more of my annoyance. Bicyclists who don't really know what they are doing. My brother road bikes so I get the need to use the bike lane and the fact that the sidewalk isn't meant for them it use, it just gives me anxiety!

I like a well fitting romper. I've found one that fits me. It's the perfect length (i.e. Not short) and hides my saggy midsection. I just wish rompers 2T to adult all had crotch snaps like baby rompers do. It would be so helpful to avoid the naked bathroom situation.
Motorcycles: I find most riders are inconsiderate. However, my dad rides and follows the rules of the road. But I'm annoyed he rides because I think it's such a dangerous hobby.
Whitehouse: pile on and report the daily incompetence. We can't ignore it.
Bike lanes: annoy me but only because I'm worried I'll miss a cyclist in my side view. I'm fine with bicyclists, just worried I'm the problem.
Ikea: most furniture is transitional but I'm obsessed with IKEA hacks and kid stuff. Also I love their dish brushes.
Kid personalities: sort of agree. But DD's personality at birth is still her exact personality. She won't do anything on anyone's time but her own and she tends to get very worked up about things. I had to be induced 5 days late with her and she wouldn't calm down during skin to skin until a nurse swaddled her. Let's hope DS maintains his timely, chill attitude he had at birth.
I am okay with some rompers on other people. They look dumb on me. I am not okay with the Romphim (man romper), but can see my brother and his friends all showing up somewhere in them.

This. My hubbs' big pet peeve. Cambridge has the Hubway, which is a system of rented bicycles, like NY's citi bikes, and he sees near-accidents all the time! You need a license to drive a car, but to hop on a bike, which needs to operate as a vehicle, you need nothing other than 5 bucks in your pocket and a bunch of clueless gray matter in your head.
We also call motorcyclists who don't wear helmets organ donors but DH is in the medical field. My dad just bought a motorcycle, he had a few growing up and has been in accidents. Now he uses this one to puttz around, wears a helmet and protective clothing.
My UO, I really hate it when people don't put carts away after shopping and leave them randomly in the parking lot.
@SWE2 I hope that isn't a true UO. That infuriates me!!! Stop being so lazy and return them to the cart thingy! I sometimes park next to the cart return so I have to walk a short amount to drop it off.

@Louise_Belchermy fiancé is currently obsessed with the idea of getting a romper for himself. I try to pick my battles with him and his clothes (another one is the 2 pairs of capris that he owns), but good lord I don't know that I'll be able to be seen with him in that thing! There have literally been no less then 5 text messages from him today on these damn rompers.... apparently they aren't available until July....
The man romper is making the man bun look hawt. I think only Freddie Mercury with his mustache could pull off the man romper look. Even throw in a man bun.
It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
I give you the capris, these aren't just rolled up for the beach that is as long as they go... I will return with romper pictures when they come available

Yes to following the same rules. I once got in an accident when a bicyclist rode into my car. I was at a red light and pulled forward to see if I could go right on red. I stopped and waited on traffic. An elderly man on a bike came down the sidewalk. He had a gallon of milk in each hand and couldn't stop with his hand brakes. He hit me just behind my front passenger tire. The police officer examined the marks on my car and determined the man was at fault. The man later tried to sue my insurance company for money as a result of me hitting him, but it didn't work, since the police report stated that he hit me.
@BeachMommy2B, I love that you have photo evidence of this! By the way, I will always picture your fiance as Aladdin since you said he played one at Disney

I hate motorcycles too but it's because they scare me. I thoroughly avoid driving close to a motorcycle in fear of getting into an accident with them. I used to be in insurance and while I have known people in personal life that have survived motorcycle accidents, every motorcycle insurance claim that I ever came across with at work involved a death. I think those things are way too dangerous.

Motorcycles scare me, too. My brother used to drive a moped around town to save on gas. He got t-boned by a deer while he was going 25 mph tops. His helmet was completely destroyed and his leg and knee were pretty messed up for a while. And that was just a moped at low speed (he got rid of it, btw). You're so vulnerable in a motorcycle, and even a minor crash can be deadly. Way too scary to me.
MH was in a bad motorcycle accident when he was around 21 long before we met. I hate hearing the story and really hate that he didn't win any money from the woman who hit him.
