I’m super sick of my husband and his parents deciding how long they are going to stay (which keeps getting longer) and then after they have completely made a plan asking me “is that ok?”
well I can’t rightly say “no I want some peace” after the fact because it’s too friggin late. My FIL who I cannot stand to be in the room with for longer than 20 minutes was only supposed to stay 2-3 days and now it will be 5. He doesn’t help, doesn’t hold the baby, just keep running commentary of when we are going to drop him and telling stories of all these horrible things other people have done as if he expects us to do the same.
Im ready to learn how our routine is going to be just us

Ugh @DungeonTrollMel, that sounds awful. I'm sorry. I agree that you and DH need time and space to figure out your new routine and bond as a family of 3. Can you pull him aside and let him know how you are feeling so he can gently tell his parents that their time is up?
