Just found out yesterday we are having another girl! We'll have two girls two years apart. My husband and I both have brothers so that's all I know, and I'm super excited, but also super nervous now about two girls!
We did the genetic test because let's face it... in the fertility world.. i'm old! lol. We got the results on Friday and our Lil Jedi is perfectly normal... I'm happy to say that we are Team Blue! I'm outnumbered in penises in the house... even the dog is a boy!! but needless to say we are very excited! Next up... telling the in laws this week. They don't even know we're having a baby
Me: 37, Hubs: 41, Furbaby: Gizmo 11/2011: dx with Stage 1 Thyroid Cancer 03/2012: dx with Endometriosis
NIPT results are in, all looks normal, and we are having a BOY! My husband is going to be over the moon excited, but I refuse to tell him while he is at work so he will have to wait. He knows the results are in so he's pestering me to no end right now. Now instead of working I am trying to think of a cute way to tell him so I can record it
Sooooo we broke my DHs side of the family with the all boys streak, and we are being blessed with a baby GIRL!!!! We are officially TEAM PINK!!! Let the shopping begin!!!!!!!! Doctor said test results couldn't look any better xoxo DH was calling the same time that the Dr called, what are the chances of that?! Called him right back and he said he doesn't remember me being this excited when he proposed. We both couldn't be any happier! Lololol.
@bb89012 Love the pic! Two girls is a lot of fun. There is a little drama, but I love having my two ladies. We go tomorrow for our NT scan and blood draw to find out if the girl streak continues.... eek!
Mine was taken on 5/22. There was a snafu with the lab but they figured it out after I got my blood redrawn that it was done correctly the first time...so they told me 5-10 calendar days if processed by Sequenom (subsidiary of labcorp; maternit21 test)
@disneyfan0511 I have 2 boys and they are drama too! Lol. But it will be interesting to see if it's going to be 3 of a kind over here as well. I had my blood drawn last week on Wednesday, I'm expecting some delay because of the 3 day weekend. Doesn't mean I don't already stare at my phone haha
@Marley629 my lab said it could 6-10 days but I'm not sure if it's business or calendar! Progenity is the lab for the test they did and they have one here close by which I hear expedites things. I just hope by the end of the week so I don't have to wait another weekend.
@ngarciabyu@Marley629 I did Qnatal but if it helps my results took just over a week. I went in last Sunday, 5/21, and my doctor emailed me about the results last night, 5/29, so I think it's possible he had them sooner assuming that Quest isn't sending test results on Memorial Day.
It seems like most of the ladies on here have gotten their results between 1 and 2 weeks after their blood draw, so I bet you'll hear soon!
@ngarciabyu can't wait to see if you break the trend... I have a hunch I'm having another girl, but who knows. Might be because it feels comfortable (I know girls, boy would be unchartered waters). I have a friend that just had her 4th girl! And her sister has 4 girls - so crazy! And totally fair -all kids are drama, lol.
We go for our NT scan and blood test 6/7. We have a gender reveal planned for 6/17 because having to wait any longer would drive us nuts. I'm a planner so I need to get cracking on baby stuff.

@vauxthekate@dkizz82 I officially asked the Dr today and he said he just cannot see recommending those tests for me since I'll be 32 and the 12 week DS scan went well. So now the new question is. ... to be tempted by those freelance gender reveal ultrasound businesses before the 18-20 week scan, or not to.... lol

@AMCsquared we totally had an early elective ultrasound (14/15 weeks) with DS1. I just could not wait anymore to find out and I was really glad they did. They are not diagnostic of course, but they are still trained techs, or students. Best part is is they are fairly inexpensive and what's better than seeing that sweet baby just one extra time . I think you get how I feel lol
With DS2, we weren't going to do the blood test, it was still pretty new and not as widely offered, but our u/s tech at my NT scan said if you want to know, I'm 98% sure you are having another little boy. Was confirmed in the ER when I had some bleeding early second trimester. Otherwise, I would have done it again.
@AMCsquared we are going to a elective place at the end of June. We waited with DD but if it's a boy, I want to go through her 9 tubs of clothes to sell and with me being a teacher, I want to do it while I'm out in summer break! Woohoo just 3 more weeks!
I am still debating on finding out or Team Green. I didn't check off the box for my blood work to find out so if we do it won't be until the 20 week. I may hold out! We'll see!
