Should a crib be placed on an exterior wall. In my crazy head I figured there was some rule against it, there seem to be so many "rules" when it comes to babies, but apparently that isn't one of them!

@dkizz82 Why not close to a window? Sounds stupid, but I need to know, haha. I may not be able to avoid putting it under a window because the way the room is laid out! The window is high though so they couldn't even touch it when the are able to stand, and brand new so it isn't leaking cold air or anything.

I just told DH that I would like to be a SAHM and he very very very surprisingly said okay. It won't happen until we move back to STL (it's currently not feasible in Chicago). We plan to list our house next March or April. So in the meantime I need to learn how to budget lol because we currently are pretty liberal and loose with our spending.
@ktcakes87 I don't recommend it because there are usually curtains/blinds and a baby can hang self In curtains for blinds. Also, like you said it's an escape route. Also, I am soooo weird and think about storms and lightening and trees cominf through the glass. Haha. Apparently you and I are the only crazy googlers.
Not pregnancy related, but I googled, "what would one do with bulk citric acid?" Was googling bc a friend's DH asked where to get it and we didn't know what he needed it for. Turns out he was making bath bombs.

The blinds thing I get, there definitely wouldn't be any cords! They wouldn't be able to reach the blind itself, plus we use the cellular shades, so there's no way I could imagine the baby hurting itself even if they got a hold of it. The window breaking did cross my mind. I guess I will have to wait and see how it works out when I get the furniture into the room!
I'm sure we aren't the only ones, just the first ones to admit it

I also recently googled, "movie takes place in Japan teenagers with superpowers escape bad guys." Surprisingly, Google was all, "I got you." Answer was Push. Side note: it does not take place in Japan.
I googled "fetal heart rate at 10.5 weeks".....my doppler is having trouble registering the heart rate, but today it said 135 which seemed way too low. So I now am nervous that something is wrong and trying to count the rate on my own, but it's too fast to keep track of....
Momma to Amelia Marie (7/14) and Austin Samuel (11/17). Adding baby (girl) #3 on 7/21
I got my most recent labs back from my OB, and my progesterone levels were 142. Apparently the normal range for first tri is MUCH lower, so obviously I can taper down the PIO and stop... I just wasn't sure if that high of a level could cause other issues. The answer appears to be no.
Fun note: My OB's nurse writes in the results for blood tests. Usually its normal, or negative, positive, things like that. This one was Wow. That's it, just Wow. :-)

@ameliabedelia-2, 135 is fine for a fetal heart rate. The old wives tale is above 150, girl, below 150, boy. So it's okay that it's below 150...just might be a little boy!

Holy crap! Mine were 17. I don't get them checked again, though. We just trust that what has worked the past 2 pregnancies will work for this one. But yeah, normal is like, 20 - 50, yeah?
"10 weeks pregnant hair falling out" It just seems like I'm getting more loose strands on my clothes this week! I'm hoping it's just those crazy hormones and not something wrong.

I always google in incognito since they are so embarrassing!!
Yesterday my back hurt and I am just finishing antibiotics from a UTI, so I was googling about kidney pain in pregnancy and kidney infection symptoms. Way to make myself crazy!!!
It was just regular old back pain. I'm fine today.
"Will home doppler harm the baby" ... even though I've looked this up a million times before. It seems that the consensus is that you should use movement, not doppler heartbeat, as a feel for how baby is doing (and contact your OB if you feel like something is off). I just ordered one and I'm going to try to use it just once a week until I start to feel movement, and then I'll pack it away... or try to, anyway! Also will try not to freak out if I can't find the HR right away. Oh, PGAL brain is exhausting.

Yeaaaaaahhhhhh. I googled that one. It seems like the answer is it makes mom's more stressed than anything.
but I've also used the home doppler for my previous two pregnancies. So I'm not sure what I was worried about (my kids are fine.)

Mine was like 12 I think.
Ah. Well, with my first successful pregnancy mine were 5, so she put me on supplements. Then next two they've been 17 and OB still has me on supplements, I guess just as a precaution. She says, "since they're less than 20." So that's why I thought 20.

My pet peeve: someone once told me your hair doesn't fall out during pregnancy. It sure does! All that did was make me worried about why my hair is always falling out!
@ktcakes87 I wondered about the crib on the exterior wall thing with dd too. I remember talking to my mom about it and her looking at me like I was crazy.
@blueskies17 Once you get into the 3rd trimester you should 100% rely on the babies movement and not a doppler. ***TW*** I went to the doctor when I was pregnant 38 weeks pregant with my son for decreased movement. His ultrasound was perfect and I was on the heart rate monitor for almost 20 minutes before his heart rate plummeted. I ended up having an emergency csection and finding out he suffered from a massive fetal maternal hemorrhage. My point is if I had a home doppler most likely his heart rate would have been good when I checked and I would have had a false sense of security. Don't want to scare anyone, but I credit listening to my son's movement with saving his life! ***End TW*** That being said I see nothing wrong with using a doppler to make yourself feel better! Just definitely listen to your babies movement too!
I second that PGAL brain is exhausting. I've googled so much in the last month. Most recent one was 'increased mucus in pee while pregnant after sex?' Apparently it's normal. Phew.
@TigerCakes Thank goodness that you listened to your instincts and saved your son's life. I'm storing the Doppler away after movements start. Thank you for sharing your story!
@ameliabedelia-2 which monitor did you get? I have the womb music one and I love it. We didn't get the one that has the screen on it because from review research, alot of them are wrong(with the BPM) and it causes too much worry.
@ShyTonia, I have a sonoline B. I think it's just too early to get a good reading as the heart beat is still faint. I remember w/DD getting much better readings after 14 weeks or so.

I googled Spice Girls for our road trip music yesterday. DD woke up and 5:30, didn't nap, and didn't fall asleep on the car ride home last night. She went nuts having a dance party in her car seat. My kid loves Spice Girls as much as I do!
