@jkirst25-2n maybe it would be better if you introduced yourself and participated in the community before asking random people to send you their email address.
As I mentioned, I'm interested in starting a separate group through FB because I know how much easier to is to communicate through that platform. I'm not asking you to join or for your petty comments, I'm looking for women who want to actually support each other.
Hi Ladies, I'm going to start a Facebook group for August 2017 Moms. I will be a second time mom and have a great group of ladies in my first FB group, so wonderful and supportive. It makes it so much easier to communicate with one another. If you're interested in joining, please send me your email address so I can send you a facebook invite. I'm going to keep the group fairly small so we have more of an intimate setting - first come first serve to join! Kirsten
Sounds totally legit. Plus as @Nxy pointed out, this is your one and only post here, on The Bump, EVER!!!!

QFP
Why would you just show up to a random group of people you don't know and ask them to send you their email and join "your" group? Do you just show up to all online birth communities and post this????
I don't participate on thebump because I don't like the forum platform. I guess it is a little weird to ask for email addresses without having a previous post so for that I apologize. I'm not sure how else to create a facebook group? If someone knows of a way to do that without receiving this information, please let me know.

There totally is but, well, I'm not going to share that information with you because frankly, it doesn't matter. Not that I wouldn't be interested in the "sh!t show" it'll most likely become.

@jkirst25-2 assuming your motives are truly innocent, which I'm not convinced of, you don't show up to a place, complain about it, and ask people to leave and join you. Clearly we've all been participating here for months, and are fine with it, so I'm not sure why you're coming here to get us to leave TB and join your group. If you don't like TB, then use FB. But don't try and poach people from a mass community for your "intimate" group.
Clearly you think we're petty, but we've spent months getting to know each other pretty well. Feel free to stick around and join in on the conversations and make yourself part of this group, but don't come here to get us to leave. That's just weird.
Wow - I didn't expect to get this much backlash. This is about the same time in my last pregnancy that I found a FB moms group, all I wanted to do was suggest to create a small group where women could support each other and communicate so much easier. Apparently not. I'll edit my post so you can all stop with your petty comments now.
I thought we were done with drive-by Facebook requests way back in the 1st tri.. Maybe someone can try and start a gender poll and we'll really be back where we started
