R/R: Injured hand hurts.
CS/Q: So I usually temp around 7:30. I woke up st 5 and had to pee so bad and couldn't hold it. So I temped and got 96.4. Yesterday was 97.7. I tossed and turned for an hour and went back to sleep from 6-8. Temped and got 97.4. Didn't get up. Went back to sleep (since I'm home with a hurt hand) and woke up at 9:30. Temped again and got 97.7. I don't know what temp, if any, I should use. Should I just throw them all out and temp again tomorrow? My temp rose yesterday so I was really hoping it would stay high, and I'm really disappointed I messed up temping today.
GTKY: If you won $1 million in the lottery, what would you do with it? How much would it take for you to retire (and would you)? Pay off debt. Fix problems with my house. Sell my house and build my ideal house (or buy and renovate an older home). Keep working. Don't know how much I'd need to retire.
R/R: Starting lupron this weekend, bring on the hot flashes and emotional outbursts! We're going to great wolf lodge Saturday and Sunday so looking forward to that!
CS/Q:
GTKY: If you won $1 million in the lottery, what would you do with it? How much would it take for you to retire (and would you)? Would definitely pay off the house and take a huge vacation with our entire family. I'm a SAHM so no 'retiring' and my H loves his job at the children's hospital. So I think we would just really live it up.
@sunniegrly so the main thing right now is you don't want to see a false elevation. The first temp was taken way too early, so likely it's too low. The 9:30 temp was taken too late, so could definitely be falsely elevated. I say log the middle temp, but put all three temps and times into the FF notes. You can also mark today as, "sleep deprived," in the symptoms, so FF may put a little less stock in it for its chart analysis, too. But you don't generally want to throw temps out unless FF is having difficulty interpreting your chart after the fact.... kwim? At least Some piece of, "potentially not super-reliable but duly noted," data, is still better than a blank space. ;)
@BusinessWife - As always, you're there with great advice! Thanks!!!
back later after I get some work done on my laptop to make up for yesterday's hand pity party.
Ed: got my first ever CH (!!!) after entering 97.4 (even with adding sleep deprived) so I guess I'll move on over to TWW. But I'll still be back for comments later.
@pebbledam - yay for getting in some good HIO this cycle! FX your O comes soon! I'll be BSC with you since this is the first time I've (presumably) O'd in 4 months
@starla - I'm only on cycle 2 so I feel you on the temperature confusion.
@LadyMillil - Rooting for you on your IVF this cycle!!!
@BusinessWife - I'm still so excited about your job/insurance!!
@mispanda - Great news you can see the RE so soon! FX for a great appointment!
@vflux33 - I'm so sick of people telling me to just relax and not focus on it. I mean yeah obviously it would be great to not worry all the time but people telling me that doesn't help me to worry less.
@DoxieMoxie212 - That is absolutely crazy about the cost of living there. One of the few benefits of living in the Deep South is the low cost of living. I'm sorry things aren't going smoothly for YH.
@Sailing_Mama I am by no means a chart expert, but what happens to your chart if you put in a higher temp tomorrow & Saturday? Looking at your old charts it seems FF has given you the dotted CH with a - opk. Is it possible you missed the surge? AFM, I haven't talked to the doc about the spotting specifically. She asked if my cycles were "regular" and for the most part they are, i have a pattern of a 30+ day cycle, then a 26 day cycle and back to 30+. It is in the 30+ day cycle that the spotting happens. So who knows. I'm going to keep tracking it, this should be a 26 day cycle (and hopefully I won't have one for a while after this), but if I do it would be 30+ days and I think I'll be calling the doc if the spotting thing happens again.
@lund ticks freak me out. (thanks House). Also, I've known a few people get Lyme disease and one with Rocky Mtn Spotted fever and it always took so long to get a Dx. I'd be pissed at the DH too. GL with the fish
@AliW220 don't know how I missed you earlier! glad the cramps are quieting down.
@heatherdubrow I've heard great things about Great Wolf lodge. Have the best time!
@elisek this may be a weird question, but does the sculpting gel leave your hair crunchy? I have wavy hair and I've been trying to find something that will tame the frizz, but not make my hair, well, crunchy.
WAYDTGKU: PNV, macaroot, green tea, yoga, meditation, healthy diet and exercise, cut out caffeine (but still drinking my wine!) testing ovulation this month, as my cycle has been inconsistent
R/R: RAVE I got a smiley face this morning! Yay! And yay for morning sex ;-)
CS/Q: if you test for ovulation, when do you test? Box says morning, but I have also read hormones tend to peak late morning/afternoon
GTKY: If you won $1 million in the lottery, what would you do with it? How much would it take for you to retire (and would you)?
I would be fine with retiring, but after taxes and such that wouldn't be enough at this age! I would pay off debt, save, and take an amazing vacation. Maybe figi? :-)
@lund I read an article about IF errors and have an irrational fear that it wouldn't be DHs sperm. I confirmed with the practice they stagger IUI appointments since they can only wash one sample at a time. I also am nervous about the trigger and timing since my REs office is closed on Sunday and cd 12 US is on Thursday. And omg so scary with the ticks! Sounds like something my husband would say. I saw a tick on our bathroom floor the other morning so it's definitely the season!
@Avrilmai I go in for cd 12 US next Thursday and will likely trigger that night if follies are atleast 17 or 18 mm
@vflux33 glad that atleast your husband asked if you were thinking too much about it instead of telling you that you were cause that can feel super invalidating. Sorry for the frustration friend!
@shortstack930 yay for RE appointment soon! Boo for coworkers getting you sick!!
@Sailing_Mama ugh sorry to hear about the ankle pain!! Do you usually have long cycles? When do you typically O around?
@beachbunnyxo123 I usually have longer cycles, with O around CD 19-21. Only one with a really late O (CD42!!), so not sure what's happening with this one
R/R: RANT--feeling impatient and frustrated with the process. Next month we go in for SA and HSG.
CS/Q: Am I the only one whose DH has trouble HIO more than once per "window"? I think the stress gets him down...
GTKY: If you won $1 million in the lottery, what would you do with it? How much would it take for you to retire (and would you)?
Pay off debts, pay off parents' debts, give some to siblings, give some to church. If I have any money left, buy a nicer house. It would take upward of $50mil for me to even consider retiring, but I still don't think I would. I love my job--I work with medical students, and they keep me on my toes.

@heatherdubrow - hope you can really enjoy the trip and that the hormones magically don't make you crazy while still doing their job!
@Avrilmai - not a weird question at all! This one did not leave it crunchy in the slightest and that's why I'm so hopeful for it to be my new hair care match. The mousse always gives that cruncy feel, same with gel. This is more of a serum texture.
@hollieileen - welcome and yay for the smiley face!
@beachbunnyxo123 I've told you before MH is nervous about a sperm switch too and he still wants a freaking paternity test. I'm hoping my clinic staggers the appointments too and explains to him not to worry, but we'll see...
@doxiemoxie212 That's great! Yay for being off the bench!!
R/R: I feel like this is going to be another case of no follicles. I can't explain why I feel that way, just like I couldn't explain it last time. Even though there were/are twinges and aches. I hope I'm wrong come next Wednesday.
CS/Q: Chart is wavy. Maybe that why I think I'm not going to see results? The only times I've gotten AF my temps were not erratic.
GTKY: I have thought about this a lot. I would buy a house within the middle class range (200,000 to 250,000) and the rest of it I would invest. Either study how to invest it myself, or hire someone to invest it for me. I would want it to keep me comfortable for the rest of my life.

Hey, ladies! Sorry, I had a super busy day and just on TB now and this thread blew up! Thanks to everyone who answered my question about temp variation. Also, the GTKY is one of my favorite things to dream and talk about so thanks for the awesome answers!
