Hello. I was recently pregnant and went in for my first 9 week us and sadly discovered I have a blighted ovum (empty gestational sack reflecting in size 8 weeks 5 days but baby didn't survive) I took misoprostol at home on 4/30 but hemorrhaged and needed a d&c that same day. My question is that I took a home pregnanct test and ovulation test today to check levels and both came back hard positive/peak. The pregnancy test i expected but is there really a chance I could ovulate one week after miscarriage?

An OPK can test positive when you are pregnant or have recently miscarried, as there is hCG left in your system. A normal OPK cannot distinguish between hCG and LH hormones as they are both glycoproteins.
I recently experimented with this a few days ago and both HPT and OPK came back positive. I am taking HPT's until I test negative before relying on a positive OPK. I have read some ladies have managed to conceive before their hCG has returned to zero, so it's not impossible to ovulate during this time but tests are unreliable due to the aforementioned reason.
