Hi Ladies, Just found out that I am expecting. We had a loss late Oct 2016. DH and I were prepping for IVF. I started taking the estradiol last week and didn't get AF. Went in for blood work this morning and HCG is at 12. I'm 12 dpo. It is verrrry low and know that the number doesn't matter as much as the appropriate increase. Anyone deal with such low numbers? Repeat beta is on Monday. I feel like I'm in denial after the initial emotional ugly cry.

Congratulations @SP128! I'm happy to see you on this board
When I went in for my initial prenatal appointment this week, they also told me what you said in that it doesn't matter on the number, but that your levels are increasing. I'm sorry that I don't have any HCG levels to share at 12 dpo. I didn't have my first blood work until this week at ~23 dpo and my doctor decided not to do a second beta test because I had to get US. I was having one-sided cramps and they were worried that I had an ectopic pregnancy. Since we saw a gestational sac, they just left it at that - I do wish that I had a second beta test. My HCG and progesterone levels were in the low-end of the "normal" range. My doctor didn't seem worried about it, so I'm just going with it for now. I just wanted to leave a reply and congratulate you on your pregnancy!

@carol113 Thank you. I needed that. Of course my mind already went there when the nurse told me it was 12 and said it was "really low."
