@stairbear why is zofran no longer an option? I could tell at my last visit my dr wasn't crazy about prescribing meds for MS and said as long as i was keeping down my prenatal then it's ok but that wasn't working for me. I was so sick and miserable I finally called and straight up asked for them to call in zofran and they did! he only gave me 9 at a time with a refill for 2 but so far i've only needed to take one each evening for the past week or so. I'm not a fan of taking medicine, especially after ivf but I was miserable.

Hey ladies I'm sorry I've been MIA and I badly need to catch up. We had a death in the family a week ago today and it's been pretty hectic and my DH isn't taking it very well.  The strange thing is when we announced to the family we were having a baby and my EDD is 2/24 we were asked to consider doing the c-section on the 20th for Pop's bday and now he has passed away. 
I'm sorry about the MS for everyone and the bleeding sucks. 
I have my first OB apt today so we shall see what's next. We are wanting to do the first trimester screening (so we can get an extra US) so I'm thinking I will be going back next week for that? I'm 11w7d today. I'm obsessed with my doppler I probably listen every night before bed just to check in on the little bean.

Stairbear sorry the diclegis isn't working i can't say it helped me all that much.  I think you have to get farther along for them to give you the zofran.  hopefully your 2nd tri will be better for you!

momma6angels11 sorry you're hurting, twins certainly take their toll on you!  Whatever you can get in is good.  The nurses would tell me even if its just some yogurt and fruit a few spoonfuls through the day is fine!  Glad you're all doing well thats great news...hopefully the nest US will show no amount of blood showing!!  Is this your regular OB?

thucks oh no i'm so sorry to hear of your loss!  You guys have been through a lot this year!  DH had another loss earlier this year, so sorry for you.  Hopefully this lil bean will bring some joy and life back to everyone.  You're knocking on 2nd tri how exciting!!!  I think when the time comes i will need a doppler too!!

@brooklyngirl18 I'm not sure why they wouldn't offer Zofran, but I don't blame you for asking for it (this nausea is miserable and basically unliveable). I'm sure taking it once a day is fine. I took it all the time, through week 15, when I was pregnant with my daughter, and she is just fine. Impudent, though.

My first OB apt went well. Heart rate was 165 and it was exactly where I told her to check. She called me a little obsessive with the doppler but said its not a bad thing. I guess I will be on the lovenox until week 36?!?! so I need to get a refill ordered. I'm not looking forward to paying for that med the whole pregnancy. I did stop my metformin Saturday at 12 weeks. Maternal med will call today to schedule my first trimester scan for this week. My next OB apt isn't until Sept 12th and we wont get the next us until week 20. This is way different for me, only 1 apt a month? and only 3 us total? AHH!!!!

thucks wow 3 US in total wow!!  Did you have more with the twins?  Glad things are moving along nicely!  Do you have the MTHFR gene?  Is that why your on the metformin?  I could be confusing it with another med that I'm suppose to take once i g-d willing get to that point!


AFM: Glad ER is over, I was more nauseous coming to this round as well.  They say that you're body going through something can just change on a whim like that...so I think my body is ready for the next step - a transfer right 
Thrilled they got 7 golden eggs, yay!  The Dr was like "i think we have 6 were looking at" and I'm like no, I think we have more like 6-8.  SO he assured me he would get everything.  However later on the head lab called and mentioned that one egg was ND, now I was still half out of it and confused and basically said it was a dead egg...  huh...not something you really want to hear.  Not sure I mentioned but I used a frozen sample instead of fresh and I have to say that the motility was not as great after the thaw as they wanted so they did all icsi.  Trying to stay positive and praying they will all have a good outcome.  Guess the RE was right after all with my 6!

I have to say this is the most nauseous I have ever been this late in the day after this procedure.  Its amazing how you can feel different every time.  I think have the reaction to the trigger is just showing my body is a lil off with all the meds this round.  All the numbness and nauseous must still be from the anesthesia.

I just went looking for my zofran so hoping it will work soon!  Wish i wouldve thought of taking it sooner!

@thucks, no such thing as being doppler obsessed as long as it is easing anxiety and not causing more... then again I check every night as well so I'm really just validating my own obsession! 

@Hopeful_mom, Fingers and Toes crossed for your 6/7 eggs! Do they have a guess when ET will be? I'm hoping by this time next month you will be well on your way to being happily bloated with baby! 

AFM: I'm 11 weeks and I check baby's heart rate every night. I'm still bleeding, but it's been much slower and all brown for over a week now. I've only had 1 person tell me that I lost my twin because if my body were meant to have children I wouldn't be infertile in the first place... I'm just glad it was a Facebook comment and not IRL So I don't have to be in prison for murder right now.

OMG WTF!!!  I'm going to lay down and just saw this, it's infuriating!  I want to vomit.  Is this a "friend" or some person in a private room that doesn't belong in one.  I'm so angry I can't even imagine how you feel!  You're just NEVER supposed to say something like that, people are nuts.

In more important news i'm thrilled you're moving right along and the bleeding is brown and calming, just praying things keep moving in the right direction.  2nd tri here you come

@Hopeful_mom I'm on metformin for the PCOS. It's used to control the insulin in my ovary's. I quit it and then in 2 weeks I will take my glucose test cause if I did it now with the metformin in my system it wouldn't be an accurate result.
I'm glad your ER went well. I hope you have some great embies out of those 6/7 that were retrieved.  

@Cowboycorgi I'm glad I'm not the only person obsessed with the doppler. That's a strange comment for someone to say. It's really implying that shes against IVF in the first place and she obviously has other issues that she needs to deal with.

@Hopeful_mom and @thucks, she is a friend. She believes everyone should be child free, and expresses her disgust of children constantly. Which I always chalked up to personal preference, and her being a bit over dramatic. 

She has given me a hard time about trying to get pregnant and IVF since the beginning, but this comment was just too far. We haven't spoken since, and I doubt we will besides the civil comment at random get togethers.

@Cowboycorgi I have an aunt like that she absolutely doesn't believe any of us kids should be reproducing all it does is ruins our lives and she has 3 kids of her own. My mom was just trying to tell me last night all the things that she was saying about us and I just shut her down. There is a reason I don't talk to that aunt anymore and my kids are a big chunck of that.

@thucks, I wonder if her children know how much she resents having them? I couldn't imagine knowing my parent thought that kids ruin lives...

@Cowboycorgi @thucks, 100% bye felicia!  I am curious when these people get older where they will end up.  I'm certainly not saying you have kids to take care of you BUT I will say I am always concerned for my parents and want to make sure they are ok and have everything that they need.  I hope her kids want give her the same courtesy!  Its very easy to say that...when you have the kids.  YET she was blessed to even have kids...3x yet, explain that one to me!

AND as for your "friend" you can have beliefs BUT knowing your struggles, r u kidding me, thats just a selfish human!!

AFM: We know I got 7 but since one was a pooper from the beginning will say, out of the 6, 5 fertilized...I know I should be happy I'm just hella nervous!  What is wrong with me?  Maybe cause i know this is it...5 is better then 1,2,3,and 4.  I think i'm stressing thinking they might not be as strong since there were a few  more this cycle AND they keep reminding me his sample wasn't great. Which thats fine as most of my normies are the ones that were icsi'd only one normie is through IVF.  However I repeatedly said to the Dr if the sample after the thaw is not good then he will give a fresh one.  I think I'm mad at myself for not just giving it in....I don't know.

I'm annoyed at myself for being this stressed.  Did I do everything right?  I only got 2 acupuncture session in more toward the end of the cycle not the beginning, was it not enough?

Side note:  I can't believe i'm still so crampy.  Ive done this 6x and this cramping has lasted the longest now WTH!  My head is first coming back to normal....definitely this round is taking the longest to bounce back from.

@hopeful_mom yes my cousins know how she feels and it makes me think that's why they each only have 1 child. I don't really care any more her and I don't see eye to eye EVER and we just cross paths that's it. 
I know its harder said than done but try not to stress so much. (I hate when ppl tell me that) but there is nothing that can be done now and there are a lot of ppl that don't even do acupuncture (I didn't) Just cause there were more retrieved this round doesn't mean that the quality isn't great. Since they did get more can you have a mild case of OHSS? Try to stay hydrated.

OMG so I woke up from a dream this morning I was sitting up in my bed with the pillow purched behind me and I was holding my boobs lol. I was dreaming that I wasn't making enough milk so I was pumping as much as possible to build up my supply again. OH the dreams we have I hope it's not a sign of what coming cause I need that milk supply lol.

Question for ladies taking PIO: 

I just stopped my estrogen at 11weeks, and PIO at 11w3d (was supposed to go until 12weeks, but ran out of meds and RE said because I no longer have twins I didn't need to go to the full 12weeks) 

anyway, my MS went from nausea if I didn't eat or drink soon enough to 'Holy S*** kill me now' since stopping. I didn't experience this with my first pregnancy with PIO. Is it normal? Or something I should contact my doctor about? Of course it's the weekend now... so blergh. 

Thanks for your help, ladies! I'll be over here dry heaving.

@Cowboycorgi I haven't had allot of MS but I wouldn't think that stopping PIO that it would increase.  I think it may just be timing.  Sorry your dealing with that.

thucks i'm trying hard not to stress...its funny you say OHSS for my big 7  I'm still grateful as many would wish do be where I am.  The cramps are finally getting better...this is definitely the longest it has taken me to re-coop.

AFM: Of course I miss the clinic call by like 20 min seriously!  At least one of the nurses was nice enough to give me the update.  So far I've got one frostie, praying tomorrow i will get more to join this party!!  ugh this process!  Its so hard not to stress. I had a better response to meds and yet I only have one day 5 which is the worst day 5 from all my cycles   I'm already worried I won't get any back this cycle and I went through so much just to do it!  You make so many decisions through this process and have to hope they're the right ones.

I had a crazy dream last night was pregnant 12 weeks with a baby that already had pigtails, wishful thinking shall we say

@cowboycorgi ya know, I didn't really think about a correlation between stopping pio and worsening MS but mine totally got worse around the time I stopped. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not. Mine was definitely the worst around 12 weeks. I started zofran around then and ever since have been able to keep things down but I stopped the past 3 days and yesterday threw up twice. Looks like I'll stay on it a bit longer. 

@hopeful_mom I hope you get more frosties tomorrow!

Just got to work from my maternal medicine apt. I am measuring 2 weeks ahead 8.9cm long and in the 84.5 percentile. The neck measured great and there is a nasal bone so pretty sure I'm good on the down syndrome and trisomy 21 & 18. The baby is measuring to big to do the actual blood testing though. She gave me the option to see if insurance would cover the DNA testing but I just said we will pass on all that. 
According to the Genital Tubercle Angle Theory it's a girl.

Currently 11weeks 5days!!
   I had my ob appointment today and got to see both babies moving all over the place in there.. Baby A had HR of 171 and measured 12w 1d ! Baby B had a HR of 176 and measured 11w 6d! I just ordered the multiples pregnancy book and cant wait to get it!
@i-wanna-b-the-girl-w-most-cake hows everything with you and the twins? @Colette18, @Cowboycorgi , @Brooklyngirl18,  @stairbear  and everyone else i may of forgotten with this pregnancy  brain.. how are you all and where have you moved to on these boards?

@momma6angels11 I watched it too. Some Mexican superstitions that if a prego person goes outside during it or cooks with knives the baby can get clef pallet.   Those heart rates and measurements sound great!!!

momma6angels11 - that's great to hear! glad you and babes are doing so well! What book did you order? I just picked up 'Multiples Illuminated' from the library so looking forward to reading that. I tried to get into 'What to Expect...' but it was just not at all interesting to me. 

I haven't moved onto any new boards but I think it may be time. Anyone have any recommendations? 

AFM, I'm 11w on the dot today and feeling good! I can feel my tummy stretching and still dead tired so I think babes are doing their thing and growing so I'll leave them to it! I won't see them this week as my OB appt isn't until Monday but I'm ok with the break from constant doc appts. 

Looking forward to finding out how everyone else is doing!

@momma6angels11, glad to hear you and bebes are doing so well! 
My 12w(5d) NT scan is this Friday, but my bleeding has slowed down and I listen to baby A's heartbeat every night. So everything is going well for us. 

Im pretty active on the march '18 bmb. I find the miscarriage/childloss check in to be very helpful instead of managing the larger loss board. Plus the drama actually helps provide a few laughs here and there. Considering how much The Bump has changed in the 7 yrs I have been a member, I find that I connect with people better in this June FET and March '18 bmb. Quality over quantity.

@cowboycorgi i got a fetal Doppler, but gave up checking for awhile because it was causing more worry..(everytime i would find babies they would move) im looking forward to your update today!!

Thrilled to hear your all doing so well!  I'm surprised you all aren't on the PAIF boards...it seemed like the right move with the ladies in similar situation.  I dont even know what the BMB boards are???

momma6angels11 long ago when i was on the PAIF board there was a multiple board started...I'm pretty sure many of them gave birth so just start another one if its not up and running.  You're not alone for sure...look back for the thread too.  They talk about it all, whats best to buy and so on.

Hey ladies! Quick update: 

my SCH has shrunk significantly! It's about 2cmx1cm, and much much smaller than Baby A's growing gestational sac. We are so relieved that our chances of miscarriage has now dropped to 3%. 
Heart rate was 153, and baby was actively touching face, and crossing legs stubbornly so I couldn't catch a glimpse of that 'nub'. We are still Team Green, but I'm collecting as many silly wives tales as I can to see if they point a certain way. Mixed bag so far. 

NT measurement was a cool 1.4, and nasal bone was present! I won't find out about my blood work for another 2 weeks as it has to be sent to Mayo, but I'm pretty confident with that number and nasal bone. 

Bad news: My BMI was in the Overweight category this time so I had to do an early 1hr Gestational Diabetes test. Gag! Last time I did the 1 hr I failed, but passed the 3 hour. I know it's best for baby... but ugh. I also get to collect my urine for 24hr like a hoarder! Gotta love medicine! 

@hopefulmom, bmb are birth month boards. They are boards for moms having babies in a certain month. I am in the March 2018 board. They are much more active than the small boards like PAIF

So nice to read everyone's positive updates. In particular, what a relief about the reduction of your SCH, @Cowboycorgi.  

I'm 13W3D now, and although I'm infinitely better than I was in July, I still struggle with nausea, particularly late afternoon and evening if I haven't had enough protein. It's rough. But I am showing -- way earlier than with my daughter! -- and a week ago, when I was watching a play, sitting still and sorta leaning forward, I swear I felt the flutter of the baby moving. What a thrill. I haven't felt it since, but that was special. I've also started exercising again, which makes me feel much more like myself, and helps me focus on something positive.

I had my nuchal translucency last week, and although the official results aren't in yet, the fold at the back of the neck looked thin, and I'm confident that there are no chromosomal abnormalities, because we did PGS on the embryos.

I have lurked a tad on the Feb 2018 board but I'm not sold on it. Maybe I'll look at PAIF or pregnant after a loss. I sometimes look at the pregnant over 35 board (I'm 40!), but it is a ghost town.

Cowboycorgi so great seeing your update!  I'm so glad baby A is thriving and pray that it continues!!  Its nice there are so many pregnant gals out there they can do month by month.  At least on the PAIF boards on the 1st-3rd tri boards you'll see the familiar names that have been on the journey with you...at least I did..and hope I will again  Stairbear  as for the older boards I havne't seen much movement but thrilled to know ur 40, it can give me hope!!  But i'm still working om my first...it can still happen i hope!!  

As for BMI mines over now so lord knows what will happy down the road

@Cowboycorgi That great news about the SCH I'm so glad that its shrinking!!  DH is so not sold on the "nub" theory since ours says girl lol. Our NT measurement was 1.9
I just finished my 1hr glucose test it came with a urine test, 7 vials of blood and I also get to collect my urine for 24 hrs lovely. I will be doing that on Sunday. No way I'm doing it at work I can't imagine putting that orange container in the work lunch fridge lol. 

@momma6angels11 I'm on the pregnancy after IF board 1st trimester check in which I'm now moving over to the 2nd trimester one. I seen you checked in there the other day. I have added myself to the BMB February 2018 spreadsheet but I don't really do much there unless something has caught my attention, like the cloth diaper discussion.

Quick update: I had my 1st OB appt yesterday at 11w5d. I wasn't too impressed with the OB so will be looking around for a new one. She said I would have to see a High Risk Specialist bc of the twins and my Advanced Maternal Age. OH and I think that is overkill. She also mentioned to me that it's not until I get past 13w that the chance of miscarriage drastically drops. Which is true, I know. But WTH? why would she tell me that when nothing at all is wrong with my health or that of the babies? idk. her bedside manner was lacking. AND if I don't go into labor during workweek business hours and she isn't on call, 1 of the 7 other OBs there would deliver my babes. That's not OK with me. Maybe I'm being too picky, this whole thing is new to me and perhaps I'm looking for a personalized experience that doesn't exist anymore. But I hope not. 

The nice part of that appt was that I got to see the squirmy babes on a scan and they look great, both with heart-rates in the 160s. LOVE!!

i-wanna-b-the-girl-w-most-cake ewwwwww to your dr!  But the good news is you got to see your miracles!!!  they're starting to really look like lil babies now, praying they get stronger with u everyday!!  I would look for another OB for sure...and u get to see the babies again then

@i-wanna-b-the-girl-w-most-cake im so happy your babies are doing great!! My ob is like that..except you get whoever is on call that week unless its during pffice hours.. But the othe thing she said about 13 wks being more on the safe side..i think she should of kept that to her self..

@Hopeful_mom yes i do believe we all are in second trimester.. my twins are good. Baby A is a boy and Baby B is a girl. My girl only has one artery in her cord so they will be watching her more and i also have placenta previa with baby A's placenta.
