People ask similar things about Alabama. We also get asked if we live near Greenbow, from Forest Gump. Not a real place, by the way
@wyomama0427 I did a summer college program at Brown during high school. People asked me if I rode horses to school. I'm from Dallas. Trust me, it looks like a big city.
I don't like pears or chocolate ice cream....when I was a kid I guess I thought it would be a good idea to eat them together. Threw it up everywhere, haven't touched either since...bleck..

I've been asked the same thing about Montana so many times... I've never even ridden a horse.

I get similar stuff with West Virginia, except the horses. When I say I am from WV people usually say, "oh I have a cousin that lives in Richmond." That's great, but they are in Virginia. I live in West Virginia. Yes we are close, but a completely different state. I also get asked if we wear shoes.
@dogdisnylovr when I say I'm from VA they ask about the Appalachian Trail and coal mines... I'm like uhh that's West Virginia...and I'm not even from western Virginia...im from the coast.
@labby18 lol I'm sorry you have to deal with it too but it makes me feel slightly better. I also want to ask if they had geography in middle school. I mean I know all 50 states, why doesn't everyone else?
