  • ktcakes87 I had everything typed up but had to run into a quick meeting so I ~thought~ I was the first person to post since the page didn't refresh when I posted for some reason lol. Yeah I remember you mentioning the whole 'will you or won't you MC' your doc put you through that seemed completely unnecessary, that would have me questioning things, too. I've been going back and forth since I delivered DS about changing and I think DH is getting super annoyed so it's time to just bite the bullet but I am soooooo scared of change even if things currently suck but are manageable.

  • @flowerpower5838 Seriously, them telling me I was miscarrying then two weeks later being like "jk" REALLY is rubbing me the wrong way. I guess I'll probably see how my next few visits go before I make up my mind. I really don't want to have to find a new office, haha. If you have been thinking about changing for that long I would definitely start looking!

@flowerpower5838, that does sound super stressful! I can see why you'd want a new OB. Good luck in your search...do you have any friends who can recommend someone?

    1: not new here
2: symptoms come and go. This morning I ran late for work Bc on my way out the door I felt like I was going to throw up. Now I feel fine.
3: My EDD is between 12/17 and 12/19. Some discrepancy between lmp, baby growth, and ovulation date. 12/17 is my birthday, though, so anytime in there is just perfect  <3
4: I'm feeling okay today. Had the US yesterday and we're getting closer to when my doppler will pick up heart tones, so I'm feeling good!
5: Next appt is June 2, for another US  :)
    6: Finally feeling excited!
7: We just watched Moana with the kids. Such a cute and fun movie! DD was singing with Maui even though she'd never heard the song before, lol. Also, not a movie, but caught up on GOT on Monday!

  • NME44 Yes! I actually have another OB already picked out who is in network and recommended by a friend. Just waiting on the right time to call and make the change since I know my OB and my potential new OB are friendly/cover each others patients sometimes and I am so nervous about the "breakup" for some reason. Also I liked Moana a lot more than I should considering my LO is a year old and doesn't really care what he watches haha. Also also, I can't wait for GoT to resume. SO EXCITED.

  • @flowerpower5838 going to see movies by yourself is awesome! This should probably wait until our next FFFC but there is a movie theater next to my work building and sometimes on super, super slow days when my boss is out and I am caught up on everything, I go catch a lunchtime flick on my own.  :)

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): pretty consistent with fatigue, sore/heavy breasts, clear discharge, food aversions -- specifically to meat -- and come and go nausea. Sometimes I'm queasy in the morning, sometimes it's if I get too hungry, and weirdly more often than not, it's right before bed. It's better on the days where I'm well-rested and relaxed and worse on midweek days where I'm crabby.

    3. EDD? How far along are you? 9 weeks today

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): actually, good. I'm now well past the point of my MC last time and I'm feeling pretty pregnant. Even though every day is a little different from before, but I'm holding on to the fact that "today I'm pregnant."

    5. When is your next appointment? 10 week heartbeat check next Thursday, eek!

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: I just started re-watching GoT last night so that I can watch the whole series again before seasons 7 premieres in July. It's so damn good the second time around because I already know the characters and the storylines aren't as confusing. Unfortunately now it's all I want to do... forget exercising after work, I'm going home and putting my pajamas on!

    7. GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Was it good? "Sisters" with Tina Fey and Amy Poeler... funnier than I had expected.

  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
Tired, messed up appetite, thirsty, occasional queasiness (less than last week).

    3. EDD? How far along are you? Dec 9, 8w4d

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): I'm ok. I'm on a work trip and the busy schedule has kept my mind busy.

    5. When is your next appointment? Next Friday

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: Just looking forward to going home to my bunny!

    7. GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Was it good? I watched Bridget Jones's Baby on the plane. Surprisingly good for a sequel!
  • 2. Exhausted and nauseous most of time time.

    3. 8+4 today.

    4. Pretty good at the moment. Im well past the point of my miscarriage this past September now.

    5. June 7th. Just saw OB yesterday for blood pressure check. Things are good with the addition of medication. I also will be doing Harmony test May 25th or 26th.

    6. Rants/Raves None

    7. I'll have to think about that lol

    2. Really tired. Sore boobs to the point of wanting to keep my bra on all the time

    3. 6 weeks 6 days

    4. I'm trying to stay calm.

    5. Today is my first appointment. Hoping they will let me have an ultrasound sometime soon. Last time I lost it at 11 weeks and never saw the heart beat so I feel like that would help. If it's there then it's there but if it's not I'd rather know earlier instead of making it to almost the 2nd tri. Once again I do not have morning sickness so that makes me worried too. Even though I know my mom and grandma both didn't and lots of people don't. It doesn't help

    6. Rants/Raves We are trying to buy a new house plus I just started my masters and I'm just like completely overwhelmed at the thought of it all.

    7. The Secret Life of Pets with my kinders, it was cute.

  • 1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating): I've been lurking and decided to participate.  My signature spells out my history...it's been a long journey

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): Morning sickness just started recently, and comes on around 12-1 daily but I don't have many other symptoms which makes me super nervous.

    3. EDD? How far along are you? 8W1D 12/13

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): Some days are better than others.  I'm super nervous about genetic testing since our first one had trisomy 15, I'm worried something's wrong with this one.

    5. When is your next appointment? blood work on 5/5, u/s on 5/9

    6. Rants/raves/whatever:  Just trying to take it appointment by appointment.  I can't wait for my u/s on Tuesday, I'm hoping we caught up and are no longer measuring a day behind.  (IVF so we are positive on where we should be)

    7. GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Was it good? I haven't been watching movies, binge watching shows though, and we just finished 13 Reasons Why.  Man, was that intense!

  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
Moderate to severe nausea all day.  I get maybe an hour "off" each day, which I use to get chores done. Not throwing up most days, just very queasy and exhausted. I work from home, normally in my office, but lately it has been laptop in bed or laptop in the recliner.

    3. EDD? How far along are you?
    7+5

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):
Okay.  I know there's nothing I can do until we get through our prenatal screening (previous loss due to Trisomy 18).

    5. When is your next appointment?
    May 16.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever:
Really glad to work from home and that my husband is a good guy who makes zero fuss about the fact that I can't help much around the house right now.

    7. GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Was it good?
Casting JonBenet.  It got very boring and felt a bit exploitative.
  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
Miserable. The nausea and heartburn are pretty much my 24/7 companions with dry heaves, some actual vomiting, and I am sleepy all the time. I will say that pregnancy so far has cured my insomnia as I am so exhausted all the time I fall asleep right away and for some reason I am not lactose intolerant when I'm pregnant? Weird.
    3. EDD? How far along are you?
    9w3d
    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):
My anxiety is terrible but it is more to do with the constantly feeling sick.
    5. When is your next appointment?
    5.22
    6. Rants/raves/whatever:
I have a small fan that I can point at my face while I lay in bed and it is my new best friend.
    7. GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Was it good? I can't remember. Lol we did just binge watch 2 seasons of Broadchurch though. It was very good but I cried an ocean.
  • @brittabatwhite I am also more tolerant of dairy, which is great because I am craving sharp cheddar cheese and pudding! Almond milk pudding just isn't the same...

    1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating):

I'm sorry for not joining earlier.  I was hoping that everything would go as smoothly (mostly) as my last pregnancy, and that I wouldn't remember all this worry and heartache.  I lost twins, and after two years of infertility I had to resort to chemicals to conceive my daughter.  With my daughter, I had one extremely light streak of pink at about this time in the pregnancy and no other bloody signs, but this time I'm having heavy spotting and cramping, mostly today.  My LMP was only four months after her birth (unintentional because I thought that I could only get pregnant with help), and that combined with my previous loss and my age (35) makes me very very worried.  I'm doing my best to distract myself, but I handled my miscarriage very badly last time, and I have no idea whether having my daughter to cuddle will make things easier if it happens this time.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):

A little soreness in the breasts, a lot of hunger, some nausea, fatigue, insomnia, and craving red meat.  I ate a bowl of taco meat for dinner.

    3. EDD? How far along are you?

    7.5 weeks

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):

Was feeling pretty okay, but two days ago I had a little pink mucus, I had a little bit more pink mucus yesterday, and today I've seen red clots.  (Anxiety intensifies)

    5. When is your next appointment?

This is killing me.  I haven't even met an OBGYN in my neighborhood yet, and the soonest appointment was the 11th when I called them a week ago.  They don't even do ultrasounds there, so I have to wait for a referral afterward and another appointment after that!  I have to wait more than a week to find out whether I am still pregnant.

    7. GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Was it good?

I'm currently watching Dinotopia.  It's a lot of fun.  I would have been agog at it if I had watched it as a younger person.

  • @FrancisD. So sorry that you're going through this scare. I would call the OB to update them on the situation and ask for an earlier appointment- they usually have spots open for emergencies. FX that everything is ok.
  • @ktcakes87 and @blueskies17 thank you for the kind words and the good advice.  It really is good advice, but I have too much going on right now to go to the ER when they really can't do anything about a miscarriage.  Plus, the only hospitals around here are Catholic, and their views on reproduction mean that I don't trust them to take care of my health (my last miscarriage was even more of a nightmare because I sought help at a Catholic hospital).  My new OBGYN is actually a ferry-ride away.  My husband has to go to work in a couple hours... so I'm just going to ride it out.  Even if I make it through the weekend, we've got stuff going on all week, so I'm just going to wait until my appointment on Thursday.  If I start having horrific labor pains and bleeding through a pad in an hour like I did with my last miscarriage, I'll go to the ER (my labor was actually less painful than my miscarriage, because I had an epidural).  It's just easier, emotionally, to try to believe that everything's going to be okay until it's clear that it's not.

  • About myself: Hi I hope you are good I wanted to give my dates im 6w0d today have another soon in a week my beta at 5w5d was 24000 and my prog was 43. The beta worried me.. I had a job interview this week..

How  I'm feeling :May have to drive 8 hours by myself for an interview and feel kind of overwhelmed.. Waiting for my ultrasound

Pregnancy symptoms : nausea and wanting to eat spicy food which is a bad combination abd sore huge boobs

    Next appt: Next Thursday

Last movie: was The Red Turtle which I cried about
  • @FrancisD. I'm so sorry for your loss and what you're going through.  *TW* I'm not sure if you've already done this, but I had a similar situation with my last, passing at 7w5d on a weekend.  Per doctors orders I went to the ER afterwards so they could make sure everything was out-- otherwise you are at risk of infection.  Please take care of yourself,my heart goes out to you.
  • @FrancisD. I'm so sorry.. I just want to second that it is important to go to the ER just to make sure that it is what you think and if so everything is out of your uterus to avoid complications.
  • @grochril and @jackiesmom324 Thank you for your condolences.  Not to worry; I'll be having an ultrasound to confirm that all the products of conception have passed.  The best to you all :-)

  • 1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating):
hey all, I'm Beth. I have twin 3 year old boys. This is my 3rd pregnancy. Was pg in Nov and had a MC in December. Blighted ovum discovered on first ultrasound at 11 weeks. DF and I were pretty devastated, and the actual MC itself was one of the most scarring things I've gone through.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): horrible. Nauseous, sore boobs, exhausted, hormonal, sensitive to smells, food aversions (to practically everything) heartburn, gas- pretty much the works.

    3. EDD? How far along are you? 8w1d.

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): pretty good thanks to my Dr being pretty phenomenal. He was my Dr during my MC. I found out this time basically as early as I possibly could. I just kinda knew and kept taking tests- as soon as I got a faint positive I called my doc. They got me in that day to get levels drawn and checked them for the next two weeks, and they raised perfectly. In that 2 weeks they also gave me my intake appointment and my first ultrasound. The next week I had another appointment and ultrasound and heard the heartbeat. Hearing that after the last PG having ended at the first ultrasound, was like heaven.

    5. When is your next appointment? The 30th.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: SCREW THIS NAUSEA. I mean I'm grateful bc it's a good sign but COME ON. IT COULD LESSEN A LITTLE. I'm thinking it is a girl bc of how different the symptoms are to my boys.

    7. GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Was it good? Attack on Titan. It's based off an anime. It's pretty gruesome and B-rate but I enjoyed it.
