  • @mrs_fogue ugh my mom and MIL do this too! My parents kept the kids overnight last weekend, I sent diapers with and my mom only put DD2 in pull ups. I've already told her to quit because we're not potty training yet. And my MIL went and got her a pack of underwear. Uhm, hi, I'm the mom and maybe I wanted to take her out when she is READY to PT as an incentive and to get her excited. Now it's just something that sits in her drawer.

    @TallMomma29 I was just complaining to dh that CFA needs to serve breakfast later because I always want a spicy biscuit but can't manage to get out of the house early enough.
  • +1 on the headaches...and NOSEBLEEDS? No one ever told me about those lovely things showing up in trimester 2.

    @ForwardnBackward looks like MIL will not be getting the bag of ingredients from now on, eh? I'd rather have sweetener then an allergic reaction!!!

    My TW for the day is our electricity. It just randomly shut off, and has been off for over 2 hours...no one knows what's wrong or when it's coming back on...

    @tyannej ugh! That's so annoying!!!

    @VLillyV she's excellent actually when it comes to DS allergies.  She cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner that was DS-friendly.  This was just kinda judgy-annoying, not unsafe.

  • Prepaying $3200 for delivery?? Is this a common thing? I've never heard of that!

  • @TallMomma29 my deductible is $3500, ugh, so the amount unfortunately is probably accurate. When I found out I'd have to prepay I asked here and apparently it's common. Sucks!

  • @bluejeanbabi05 our deductible is $2k but I've never had a delivery be the entire amount of my deductible

    My TW is our daycare. We had a plan my husband would take a day off a week and we would only pay two days a week for
    Daycare (I only work 3 days a week). Well, when inquiring about prices, they informed us infants are either 3 days or full time (which is 4 and 5 days). I know the extra day doesn't seem like a lot, but it's a $45 difference a week....times two. Ugh. We would be paying $575 for 3 kids going three days a week. We don't have family close to help so that's not an option. I can't quit my job bc I make more and carry our benefits. So my husband is thinking about staying home, but I know that's not what he really wants.
  • @curlyq423 daycare costs never cease to astound me. $575 a week for only 2 days?! Who makes that much money in expendable income in a week, let alone 2 days?

    Have you looked into any home daycares? Those are usually a lot more reasonable
  • @curlyq423 Yikes. $575 a week is HUGE for just 2 days. I am so sorry this is your position. US government needs to subsidise for working parents.

  • @sjohns08-2 and @buttercream_frosting Crap, I meant 3 days a week (fixing that). But still expensive! We are now looking into in home for at least the twins. Our son loves his preschool class at the daycare he's at, so at least leave him there.
  • @curlyq423 Still expensive! Australian government will pay 50% of your daycare fees up to $7500 per year per child. I fork out $100 (USD65) per week for the two days for DS.
