Congratulations to @MJDsquared and @greenange for your BFP graduations! Hugs to anybody who needs one...

Hey all, 13DPIUI for me and I've managed not to POAS yet. I'll POAS tomorrow to see if it's worth going in for my beta. It's hard to not get my hopes up, and I'm on progesterone for the first time, which is not helping. Plus side: I haven't really had many of the unpleasant progesterone side effects.
QOTW: That's tough! Probably a Harry Potter. If pushed, I'd say Prisoner of Azkaban. This reminds me that I haven't re-read the series in quite some time and I may need to do that this summer.
Had my FET last Thursday and I tested today and BFN. I know I'm early only being 5 days past transfer but I don't have a good feeling. It is better than another loss but I'm just so tired of them not working out. We've transferred 6 out of our 12 embryos and it's looking like all failures so far. I'm just so frustrated. Sorry to be such a downer. We haven't been telling anyone this cycle so I am just all on my own with this one and feeling pretty lonely.

@moofish2364 I hate seeing the BFN and I always feel like an idiot when I take a test and promptly get AF. But I'll admit it's been hard! I usually get AF after 11-12 days, so it's especially challenging to wait right now.
@msstephanielynn Good luck with your appointment tomorrow. I hope you get a plan. Keep us updated.
For check in: 1. TTC since 8/2016 2. Dx with PCOS to include insulin resistance and no ovulation in 11/2016. 3. Rx - increase in Metformin to 2000mg and progesterone challange to hopefully trigger ovulation
I was just offered a new job that I will start on 5/22. I'm nervous and excited, but for the most part I am interesred to see if my new health insurnce will cover any infertility treatments. My current plan does not.
I have to say I love that the list of graduates is growing!
QOTW: I don't know if I have a favorite book but I do lean towards mystery/scifi/paranormal/supernatural themes.
Me: 34 - SO: 40 TTC #1 since 8/2016 FINALLY diagnosed with anovulatory PCOS 11/2016 (Insulin resistance and multiple cysts on both ovaries) Miscarriage on 7/19/17 at 7 weeks Miscarriage on 10/16/17 at 5 weeks
2. What is your diagnosis? Unsure - I have a past history of childhood cancer which I was told *could* affect fertility, but doctors I've spoken to don't seem concerned and I was essentially told until I started trying I wouldn't know... I have a phone consult with the NP for an RE on Thursday the 4th.
3. What is your current Rx plan? N/A
QOTW: Harry Potter was my favorite series, but I really loved Misery by Stephen King since that's technically fiction. ;p
@msstephanielynn I understand them to be pretty similar to pregnancy symptoms--nausea, tender breasts, cramps, etc. I'm taking it because in theory it can lengthen your LP.
@worldtravler0522 Good luck!! I really really hope that BFN was just too early. I'm sorry you're feeling so alone right now. Is there anyone IRL at all that you'd want to talk to about it, even though you haven't told anyone this cycle? I understand not wanting to tell anyone, of course. Lots of good wishes and hugs your way.
@Bababatty everyone we know knows that we are doing IVF in general but they have no clue we did another cycle. It stresses me out when I involve them in the cycle. I'm not sure why but the additional eyes stress me out.
@GoldenKeys I'm on levothyroxine, metformin and femara right now. I'm scheduled for an u/s Monday and will do a trigger shot and timed intercourse.
I was super excited last cycle to ovulate and also get AF on my own without provera. It was a beautiful cycle, though AF was light and weird.
QOTW: What is your favorite book in the fiction category? Codex Alera, particularly the first book; The Furies of Calderon. It's soooo so good.

@Bababatty and @MooFish2364 I love the Harry Potter series! Not an exaggeration, I re-read the series once a year. It is also my go to escape life series! @Worldtravler0522 *hugs* @eranvo27 Congrats on the new job! Fx for decent insurance @Mythril GL with this cycle!
AFM: Had my follie check today. I was a little worried that I had another cyst because I've been having some discomfort and I had some pain during the u/s when she did my right ovary. Turns out I just had a shit ton of follicles. I had three large mature follicles on my right side, plus other smaller ones. Basically, my right ovary be like I do my trigger shot tonight and inseminate on Thursday.
QOTW: My favorite book of all time is All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot. It's a wonderfully charming book.
Hey everyone, Nothing really to report here. Still just waiting for my next RE appt and hoping that there will be some positive movement for us.
QOTW: What is your favorite book in the fiction category? Soooo many, and too many to list, but the Harry Potter series is probably the best I even have a HP tattoo on my leg

@eranvo27 hopefully your new insurance has IF coverage!
@hoffmanr7 I totally LOL'd when I saw that picture. So funny! Good luck tomorrow!
@tops-2 I've been toying with the idea of a HP tattoo for years now but haven't done it. I am a life long fan.
Happy to finally report that after a dozen negative OPKs, I finally got a positive on Mondah. Im now 1dpiui, lol. I'm sure this will be a loooooong TishWW since my LP after the last two IUIs has been 16 & 17 days.
@hoffmanr7 your pic cracked me up. That is exactly how I felt yesterday, I told the nurse doing my IUI that my ovaries felt like hot air balloons
@Worldtravler0522 FX yesterday's test was just too early! Did you retest today?
DH - 34, Me - 32 Married 7/13 TTC #1 since 10/13 BFP 2/4/15, MC twin boys at 18w3d 5/15 IUI #1 2/25/16
@tops-2 I would love to here more about your HP tattoo! Or even see a pic. @Kate437 GL on Thursday @SoonToBeMommaHowe Hurray for a positive OPK! Fx that this TWW goes fast and for a nice BFP!
@hoffmanr7 that pic made me lol! Yay for big follies!!
AFM, I did finally ovulate last week (yay!) Now I am 7 dpo and trying my hardest to distract myself from the TWW. This is our last or second to last cycle before we start treatment, and the first after my HSG. Sooo... of course I'm going to be the SS that gets KU before I start treatment!
QOTW: I don't think I have a favorite book. I read a lot, but they are mostly crappy books that I can download to my kindle for free.
@Kim41313 good luck staying distracted and FX for you! @hoffmanr7 hope the big follies do the trick!
AFM, saw a new RE who ordered the PCOS insulin resistance test, is retesting all the things, and wants me to do the clomid challenge. Is that still a thing? I tried searching the forums and only got posts from 2011-2012... That being said, none of it can start until I start a new cycle, so, more waiting! Yay?
Just got off the phone with my RE consult. We are scheduled for an in person consult on May 23rd. (Not as bad of a wait as I was expecting!) The NP I spoke to ordered a SA for my hubby and ordered day 3 bloodwork for me... which works out perfect because AF started today woo. (One of the only times to be excited about it right?)
@worldtravler0522 - ah! Really keeping my fingers cross for you. You are such a trooper! If I were in your shoes, I'd have a hard time being hopeful too. I don't think you are being a downer, I think you are being honest about the impact your losses have had on you. Sending you lots of love.
AFM: I am in week 2 of the TWW and it is agony. This is our last IUI before moving on, so it feels a little different. I am hardcore symptom spotting. They also triggered me with HCG so I can't even POAS before 14 dpiui! Gah!
12 dpiui here. Feeling crappy because we had a 15 degree spike in weather here so can't really tell what symptoms are heat aversion or PMS/early pregnancy. Just have to hold out on testing until 5/8.
@hoffmanr7 I love your image! That's exactly how my ovaries felt my first round on clomid. Great news about your follies! FX!
@SoontobeMommaHowe Yay! I'm glad you got a positive OPK! That's super stressful wondering if you're going to miss it or not and your body is not cooperating.
@Worldtravler0522 I'm sorry about the BFNs. I'm rooting for you so hard, you've been through so much. I really, really, really hope you get a BFP and a sticky bean. Lots and lots of luck your way.
@funkykey You're so close to the finish line for the TWW. You can do it! FX this is your cycle.
@BenJay FX! I'm sorry you're feeling crappy. I hope you feel better soon--or even better that it's pregnancy symptoms instead.
Update for me: AF arrived today, and now we enter cycle 24. I made it to a full 14 day LP, which I'm chalking up to the progesterone, so I'm happy about that. I also made an appointment with the RE in mid-June, which would be the midst of our final IUI cycle (if we have to do all six), to start talking about IVF.
*TW* Small update for me, I tested again this morning and got the lightest second line but it's there. I'll be interested to see what tomorrow and Beta on Saturday brings. Feeling a little more hopeful but very aware how quickly it can change this early. *End TW*
I genuinely appreciate all the support and encouragement, it means a lot!

@Kim41313 I heard people can be extra fertile after an HSG because it clears out the tubes. FX for you!
@brittlefebvre We hit Day 3 the day after our initial consult and was able to go in for bloodwork. I was ecstatic. I also learned that it does not only have to be Day 3. It can be Day 4 too. Not sure about Day 5 though.
I got authorized for IVF yesterday morning. I just signed consent and gave them my money for PGS. Not covered by insurance at all. I'm currently 11DPO now. The clinic wants me to come into do blood work tomorrow morning because I didn't get my period yet. The nurse said that after taking estradiol it should start between 7-10 days. I feel that AF is on its way. My usual LP is around 14 to 15.
Any advice on IVF would be greatly appreciated : )

@SP128 stay organized! When you get all the meds in the mail it will seem very overwhelming so have a place to keep everything together. Also have a small box with a handle to keep a small supply of meds in one space is helpful. Take good care of yourself and try not to over schedule yourself while on stims because you might not be up to company especially towards the end as you get more bloated. Feel free to PM with any questions you might have.

@SP128 Oh really? Huh! I haven't gotten full bleeding yet (tmi) so I'm thinking my second day will be on Saturday, maybe Sunday. Last month I had 2 full days of spotting before I finally got AF. I'm not sure if I can do bloodwork on the weekends but she didn't say otherwise... I'll have to ask hubby when he gets home because I'm new to Kaiser.
@brittlefebvre That's what they told me because I asked specifically because I didn't know how the lab worked. I couldn't fit it in before work the next day because I didn't know it had to be a specific time (the clinic is strict on when they do blood). I went to Quest Diagnostics to have it done. I just brought the order from my doc. Perhaps that may be an option? Doesn't hurt to ask.

@SP128 Makes sense. Luckily there's quite a few locations for me to go to, and she said I didn't need to make an appointment, just go in and get my blood drawn. If they don't draw on the weekend then I'll call back and ask for order. I've had to do that before. Hopefully whoever I get is good with finding veins because mine like to disappear when they stick the needle in.
sorry I've been not as active as I've wanted to. Works been crazy and we are moving!
So AF came late and finally started clomid im supposed to be ovulating today or tomorrow. I've been peeing on all the things and taking my temp but I think I ovulated? The ovulation test was darker the day before but not as dark as the instructions said would count as a surge and my temp dropped today I don't know what that means. But I am concerned that my ovulation test was lighter than the day before. Last time I did Ivf so I never charted or tried ovulation kits. I feel like I'm failing already. Ahhh and I told DH he can't drink on cinco de mayo because it could make his sperm slow. He laughed, kissed my forehead and told me to go to bed. He keeps me sane.
my favorite read is the Devine comedy. I really like old poetry and writings. I like analyzing meanings and focusing. I'm a history nerd though. But for fun I like cheesy love stories like beautiful disaster. Lol
Re: TTTC Checkin 05/02/2017
QOTW: That's tough! Probably a Harry Potter. If pushed, I'd say Prisoner of Azkaban. This reminds me that I haven't re-read the series in quite some time and I may need to do that this summer.
2. The only thing that my RE sees as hindering me is a small fibroid in my uterus.
3. Surgery in June to hopefully remove it (if he can) and to also check my tubes.
QOTW: probably the Harry Potter series. It's my go to for when I need an escape from reality.

@Worldtravler0522 so sorry girl I hope that it is jut too early
@eranvo27 congrats on the new job!!
Yay?
QOTW: I love anything by Terry Pratchett
Married 7/13
TTC #1 since 10/13
BFP 2/4/15, MC twin boys at 18w3d 5/15
IUI #1 2/25/16
Just got off the phone with my RE consult. We are scheduled for an in person consult on May 23rd. (Not as bad of a wait as I was expecting!) The NP I spoke to ordered a SA for my hubby and ordered day 3 bloodwork for me... which works out perfect because AF started today woo. (One of the only times to be excited about it right?)
@eranvo27 - FX your new job has better coverage!
@hoffmanr7 - FX for you and your 3 follies!
Hoping we get some good news soon!
AFM: I am in week 2 of the TWW and it is agony. This is our last IUI before moving on, so it feels a little different. I am hardcore symptom spotting. They also triggered me with HCG so I can't even POAS before 14 dpiui! Gah!
The waiting!
DH - low motility
Rx: Levothyroxine, misc supplements

@Bababatty AF sucks ass
@Kate437 Woo Hoo
@eranvo27 Hope the new insurance has some good bennies. Congrats on the new @funnyvalentine
@funkykey FX for you this cycle!
AFM
I got authorized for IVF yesterday morning. I just signed consent and gave them my money for PGS. Not covered by insurance at all. I'm currently 11DPO now.
The clinic wants me to come into do blood work tomorrow morning because I didn't get my period yet. The nurse said that after taking estradiol it should start between 7-10 days. I feel that AF is on its way. My usual LP is around 14 to 15.
Any advice on IVF would be greatly appreciated : )

@tops-2 I love it!!
sorry I've been not as active as I've wanted to.
Lol
