Re: 6 month check in
Today May 1st
Height/weight/clothing size?
No new measurements since beginning of April.
Height: 65,3 cm
Weight: 7080 gram
Clothing size: 62/68
Milestones?
She tigers backwards and moves on her back, bum and feet forwards.
What are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)?
She loves her playmat as she can 'move around'. And her walky talky chair...this definitely helps her to move around!
What is your biggest challenge?
We are doing pretty well at the moment.
Seems like she is shortening one sleep and making her second sleep longer. Thought I had a wee bit more time before we switch to one sleep!
Sorry for starting this post, but I really wanted to share my pictures I took today!

april 26! (And I still haven't taken his 6 month photo. Oops)
height/weight/clothing size?
15 lbs 2 oz
66 cm
wearing 3-6 month clothing
milestones?
sitting unassisted. Pushing himself backwards. Up on all 4's rocking. Eating food. Rolling around like a mad man!
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)?
Loves hanging on his play mat. Liking anything he can pick up and put in his mouth. Loving his exersaucer this week.
what is your biggest challenge?
His eye infection is definitely something new to overcome. And his one eczema spot. Still trying to make nap time a thing.
@tvh1982 the photos are amazing!
height/weight/clothing size? she has her 6 month check-up on Friday, but I weighed her the other day and she's about 14.5 lbs. and wearing 3-6 mos (though still fits into some 0-3)
milestones? hand and knees, mimicking inflections, scoots backwards, rolls all over
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)? The cat , our hands, turtle puppet from Ikea, crinkle book, sleeve of her sleeping gown
what is your biggest challenge? Feeding real food. I want to, but when I have a moment to introduce something, she's usually cranky/tired and completely uninterested.
Edited to add: we are also struggling with bath time. Since she can't sit up by herself yet, she slides all over the place. We had to take the bump out of the tub because she kept flopping over it and slamming her back on it. The toys we bought aren't distracting enough. One of her favorite times has now become no fun for anyone.

I bought the following, haven't used it yet, but got advised by it from a friend.

when did your LO turn 6 months?
April 23rd
height/weight/clothing size?
25 1/2 in, 14.10 lbs She mostly wears 6-9 months but can fit 3-6 in most things.
milestones?
Sitting up unassisted, rolling everywhere, spinning around, loves eating solids, pulling up to stand with assistance, and I swear it sounds like she says mama
.
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)?
Bath time, the pool, anything Mickey Mouse, and the bouncer.
what is your biggest challenge?
Sleep! It has been such a struggle since the 4 month sleep regression. On a good night, she is still waking twice. I've tried to rock her back to sleep but she's not having it so I have to nurse. Is it possible she really is hungry? On a bad night, she'll wake up up to 5 times and its really getting hard on me. Sleep training will be happening at the end of this month because I need some sleep. What happened to those 8 hour stretches she used to do??
It really depends on the item/brand. In the onesies from Carter's, she wearing 6 months. But onesies from Walmart (Garanimals I think), 3-6 is more her size. I got a bathing suit from Target for her in 3-6 and it was too small. I think she's thin so I guess its just how the items fit her body type. At this point, we only buy items that are at least 6 months.
April 27th
height/weight/clothing size?
26.5"/14lb13oz/3-6mo clothes but 6-9mo sleepers for length
milestones?
He's so so close to crawling. He can get up on his hands and knees but he doesn't seem to quite understand how to go forward and falls on his face when he tries to move his hands.
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)?
He loves his crinkle book and his monkey rattle (it plays fur Elise) that are hooked on his car seat. He also love his giraffe sound machine and his oball dumbbell rattle. His favorite activity is trying to stand on our laps. He can super himself pretty well but has no balance yet.
what is your biggest challenge?
He's been sick for a couple weeks and we are struggling with trying to get him better. Because he hasn't been feeling well we are also struggling with him sleeping in his crib... Or sleeping in general.
3 = 0-3
6 = 3-6
9 = 6-9
etc.
when did your LO turn 6 months?
May 1
height/weight/clothing size?
26 inches, 16 lbs 5 oz, size 9mo or 6-12mo
milestones?
Rolling all over the house, trying so hard to crawl, 2 bottom teeth poking through
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)?
Rolling, talking, squealing, and making loud noises, going outside, peek-a-boo
what is your biggest challenge?
Juggling 2 little ones and living in a very small house where it's impossible to get away from one kid's noise while the other is trying to sleep, DD has been waking DS up a lot lately ☹️
height/weight/clothing size? 9-12, 12
milestones? Rolls over completely and is all over the place, sits up pretty well on his own, still no teeth (thank god!), sleeps through the night
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)? Rolling around in his play area, splashing in the splash pool, swinging, crinkly book
what is your biggest challenge? Keeping him engaged all day and food is not a hit so I'm putting it off a few more days. His pediatrician is going to be annoyed about that but I'm having to literally shove it in his mouth.
Edit: forgot a picture!
My lie for example was 'no I don't rock her to sleep' and 'yes she sleeps in her crib every night'.
Id have no problem saying 'yes we've started solids' if that makes them happy.

height/weight/clothing size? 26 3/4 in long (55%), weighs 16lbs 14oz.(36%) - he's slowed growth a ton, but doc said it's normal around 6 months for that to happen. He's in 6-9 month clothes, sometimes he fits 12 months because of big cloth diaper booty.
milestones? trying super hard to crawl, gets up on hands and knees or hands and feet all the time. He's also moving to a seating position from a crawling position. Lots of grabbing his feet and rolling all over the place.
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)? he loves when we act silly or when we do funny things like jump up and down or play peekaboo. He is also in love with animals and will laugh when he sees cats and dogs.
what is your biggest challenge? I think my biggest challenge is still not to worry or overthink every little thing.
He will be turning 6 months on May 29
height/weight/clothing size?
25in 16lbs2oz 9mo or 6-12

Rolls back to front, for some reason he won't roll belly to back, does push ups, tries to get his knees under himself but unsuccessful so far, can sit unassisted, loves to stand up-if we're holding him up he even tries taking steps, loves his veggies.
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)?
Oball and his oball car, exersaucer, jolly jumper and tummy time.
what is your biggest challenge?
May 20th

She is a mover! Rolls and scoots around somehow. Ate food for the first time, swam in a pool, and went on an airplane. She also has been paying more attention to our animals.
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)?
She loves the water, loves to touch and examine my face, and she loves eating.
what is your biggest challenge?
- BFP: 3/10/16 — Baby Girl born 11/20/16
TTC#2 April 2019May 17th but we had her 6 month check up last night
height/weight/clothing size?
25", 14.7 lbs and anywhere from 3-6 months to 9 months
milestones?
Throwing herself forward, planking, loving her solid foods, babbling non stop
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)?
A loves to roll and chat and is obsessed with her jumparoo. We added a new song to her night time routine and it does the trick, as soon as she hears it, her eyes to start to close.
what is your biggest challenge?
Juggling my mom's dementia and A. A is so much easier in comparison but I have constant guilt that she's suffering because I have to devote so much attention to my mom.
It's blurry but I love this photo. It captures her personality the best.
height/weight/clothing size? We can't find the tape measure anywhere, so I used a level, haha. Roughly 27 inches, 23 lbs; 9 month clothes.
milestones? She's pretty solidly sitting up! She started sitting for short periods of time in early May, and now she loves sitting and playing. So bittersweet. She's rolls with no effort from back to belly. She's finally found her toes and feet! She's had a bit of mushy banana twice in the last few weeks. She definitely is trying to crawl, but ends up spinning in circles. And for the last couple of weeks, she's been sleeping on her belly.
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc) Still loving the jumparoo. Loves laying under trees and watching the leaves move. Loves grabbing things (and putting them in her mouth, of course!). I feel like I could keep going forever... she's a very happy, content little squish!
what is your biggest challenge? Biggest? Probably that I reeeeeeeeally, really don't want to start foods. I love the convenience of breastfeeding!

height/weight/clothing size? 17lbs 10oz, 27", 6-9 mos
milestones? We started BLW and he is taking to it like a champ. He LOVES food and he is actually ingesting some food. Sitting up unassisted, rolling everywhere, attempting to pull himself up on things but he doesn't really get anywhere with it.
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)? Eating "real" food, bathtime, the boob, looking at books, outdoor swing we have on the deck, going for stroller walks, sitting up and playing with toys, "patting" the dogs heads.
what is your biggest challenge? Deciding when to move him to his crib in his room. Teething.

height/weight/clothing size?
height: 2' 3.36" ; weight: 19lbs 12ozs ; clothing size: 12-18 month depending. He has a big butt so 12 month pants are really tight ha ha
milestones?
rolling all over the place, has 4 teeth, started solid foods last week, sleeping through the night (10 hours).
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)?
loves bouncing, really enjoying his swim class with Dad, super chill guy.
what is your biggest challenge?
Lately just that we have been all so sick. Me especially. Go away cold! I hate you!
height/weight/clothing size? he just had his 6 month check up today and I don't remember height as I was too focused on his weight which is a measley 12 and a half pounds. He is in 3month clothing
milestones? developmentally he is fine. Reaching all his milestones. Can almost sit without support. If he is laying flat he can almost sit himself completely up. Food isn't too high on his priority list but we are trying.
what are LO's favourite things (toys, activities, etc)? he currently loves his exescaucer and listening to his sisters sing to him. He likes to sleep on his stomach and when he nurses now i find him trying to roll over which doesn't work so well but it's cute.
what is your biggest challenge? Getting this kid to pack on the pounds. I had a mom guilt moment at the pedi office today. Apparently my breast milk is zero calorie... wish i could eat all day and never gain weight. I nurse him every 2 hours while awake so it's not like I'm not feeding him enough. He makes good wet and poop diapers. I don't get it. We officially have to supplement with formula for calories and I was told to "stuff his face" with as much food as he will take. It makes me feel awful that my body isn't producing what he needs like everyone else's body is. His Dr wasn't overly concerned because he is developing just fine and is hitting milestones. He sleeps consistently through the night. Having a mom failure moment. My husband just says "you're a good mom relax" which REALLY helps (eye roll).. I gave him formula today and he was spitting up the entire rest of the day. He has eaten it before when he was younger but hasn't has any in a few months so I'm sure he just isn't used to it but I'm stressing out now.

@kvruns I'm glad your little man has started getting bigger! Yes my girls were all on the small side but looking back at their 6 month weights they were all over 13. So while I don't expect him to be huge I'm hoping at our weight check in a month he has gained enough to make his pedi happy. All my girls were like 17/18lbs at a year so I don't know. Maybe he will catch up soon.
