This week I am making a baby shower cake for my husband's ex-wife's family. It's pretty awkward. Especially since I know she is trying to have another baby, and here I am pregnant.
I stayed home from work today (digestive issues, bleh) - and H works overnights, so he's home now too. He's about to work out... and I'm sitting on the couch.
Holy crap! I can post photos from mobile! To celebrate, here's a picture of my dog, Yoda, wearing Yoda ears. Bonus, an extra pug who jumped in the shot.
I got so excited about the fixed mobile issue that I totally forgot that I was trying to post to tell @dogdisnylovr how nice it is that she can interact with her husband's ex. It's always better for the kids if the new spouses can include their bio-mom/dad too. I know it's awkward, but it's very adult and commendable of you to help out with the shower for her family.
@bridge-and-wall Thank you! Coming from a divorced family who never had a nice word to say about each other or who still can't be in a room together, I know the importance of being cordial. The kids need to see it and stay out of any drama. I always hated being in the middle of it.
I am not looking forward to putting my kid to bed. It is normally H's job(ever since I quit breastfeeding) , but he's gaming tonight and next week, too.
I finally got asked today if I was sure that there is only one baby in there. When I said that yes, there is just a single boy in there, she said, "Wow. Big boy." People are awesome.

How polite of her.
I still dont understand why people decide it is their business to comment on our bodies.
Found some toddler keen sandals for cheap on zulily last night and then couldn't help, but buy cute boutique clothes for DS. I think I spent $60 with shipping for everything, so I'm going to call that a win.
@lilpoots have you had much luck with Zulily? My MIL ordered something from there and it took her months to get it. I always see their adds and think they have cute stuff, but her story made me nervous to order from there.
@DPandMB sometimes shipping takes an eternity. I had the option to pay for faster shipping 3-4 day, but I don't need any of this stuff immediately. My one complaint is that they don't do returns unless something is defective/broken. They're great for early Christmas shopping.
1. I bought a Roomba yesterday...best purchase of the year (i have 4 cats and 1 dog and 90% of my house is tile...)
2. I threw a total fit last night at 1130p and DH moved the King bed back to our bedroom, and I finally slept through the whole night without getting up for heartburn or to pee...it was amazing. Mind you I have been sleeping on the couch for about 2 weeks bc I havent been able to stand the queen bed that we put in the bedroom because it's more "firm"...aka A FREAKING ROCK
@labby18 Does the Roomba work well with your pet hair? I have 5 shedding dogs. I feel like I would have to empty one of those things every few minutes. That's the main reason I haven't gotten one.
@bridge-and-wall i didn't buy the super pet one (i couldnt justify spending almost $500 on a robot vacuum) I bought the 618 model for $269 at walmart. I was told by a friend that once you get to a "baseline" you shouldn't have to empty it as much. My friend has 2 German Shepherds and a pit and has the same model and swears by it. But I can tell you this much, this thing vacuums better than my shark vacuum. The only time I have had to empty it mid cleaning cycle is after it goes over carpet because well, it's not at a baseline yet. I am going to try to do a better vacuum job today and then set the roomba loose, as I didn't do that before using the roomba yesterday. I have been slacking on vacuuming during the week so my carpet in my living room is kinda bad right now.
It's amazing on my tile floors tho.
One thing that is really cool is that I don't have to move my dining chairs; it goes under and around them. It's pretty mesmerizing to just watch it.
@iheartichi no. he is a pansy and just walks away from it and follows me like "mom, wtf is that?" 1 of my cats kept sneaking up on it to spy on it and then running away when it changed directions.
@labby18 ha I bet that is entertaining to watch! Please please please get a video if one of your cats decides to ride it. We've been thinking about one, too. I guess I could put some treats on it so it and my dog could be friends.
@iheartichi oh, there is a hilarious video on FB of a pitbull who figured out the pause button on a roomba, and everytime it starts going the dog just goes up to it and pushing the button with his nose.
Oh if one of them gets on it, i will be filming it FO SHO.

Yep. Now I want a Roomba. Probably shouldn't get one though. @iheartichi One of my pugs literally attacks our Dyson vacuum. Like runs up to it, barks like crazy, and bites the front of it. Its crazy. Not sure he could handle a Roomba.
