My WTF is the doctor's directions. Yesterday he told me I'm supposed to up my water intake to at least 100 oz a day...but I'm also not supposed to let my bladder get full. As if I don't pee enough already...
@Ae_Lovely321 5 miles over can get 25% of your weekly wage? That's just insane! I go 5 miles over without even thinking about it. (Of course, here in Southern California if you don't speed on the highways you would get run over, so it might be very different over there.)
@ae_lovely321 wow, that's an interesting way to do fines. Is there a minimum and maximum amount? like, if someone is unemployed, can they speed and pay 175% of 0 which is.....0...? that would be weird BUT in general I like the percents.....I think it could encourage someone who may be like, "100 bucks is nothing!" to reconsider the consequences....
@mrs_tacos I always think, "wow, my bladder feels SO full..I'm going to pee SO much" and then I like, trickle a tiny bit out...seriously? that's it? then I wonder what it will be like in August/September...yikes.

@mrs_tacos There are speed cameras everywhere. They don't believe in the 5 over rule, but the only time the cops will pull you over is of you're being really reckless. @BigBadWolf12 the maximum you can get fined is £2500 and with current conversion rate equals about $3200.

This just started for me yesterday. I was like WHOA I gotta pee! And then it was like 1/4 of a normal pee. I was like really? That was anticlimactic.

@wyomama0427 THAT'S THE PHRASE I WAS TRYING TO THINK OF! All I could think was "that's not satisfying", but I felt weird typing that about peeing....haha

I think I threw my back out today. It's never happened before so I can only imagine that's what I've done. I hurt so bad. I can't lean or bend at all without bawling...how long does this last???
@mrstacos So you basically need to sit on the toilet and drink water? I remember my MW telling me during the summer she wants me to make sure I'm drinking at least a gallon of water a day. I never really looked up how many ounces that is...until now...128!
@LaceyC1020 that's the worst! You never know how much you need your back muscles until they don't work. I remember when I threw my back out from sneezing of all things I wasn't 100% for about 3 weeks. Feel better soon!
@dogdisnylovr all I was doing was pulling up my pants in a dressing room. I was worried I wouldn't make it home. Took forever to get in and out of the car...UGH!
Wtf is wrong with me? Doc told me Friday to "watch my weight." So naturally today I bought and devoured a chocolate Easter bunny. It was hallow, so that was justified in my mind.
Lol @MrsVP614 last night I was picking apart a hollow chocolate bunny and I looked down and told DH "Oops....I accidentally ate the whole bunny..." He started dying laughing at the "accidentally" part.
Thank you @mrs_tacos. I feel like a terrible wife for not fully understanding how bad DH felt when he threw his back out a while ago. I literally cannot get off the bed right now. Sounds dramatic.....but I'm serious. Lol I guess I'll be calling out tomorrow..
@MrsVP614 I saw my midwives group earlier this week, and they told me that my next GD test isn't until 28w. Literally, the first thing I thought was, "Yay! I can still eat candy for the next month or so!" Even though I know that's not how it works, haha. I had an early GD test at 16w due to being overweight, and I did fine, but.. still. I know better!
@ColoradoHiker And @MrsVP614 Has the weight gain been a bit of a mental mind F for yal? I started overweight lost weight now up weight. 1 appt I was yelled at for losing weight the next for a couple pounds too many. I'm *trying* To eat healthy and stay active but ugggh i hate the getting weighed part and how my OB talks to me about it. LIKE I KNOW I'M OVERWEIGHT, CARRY ON.
@labby18 My doctor has not said a word about my weight. The nurse I see almost every time I go in, though... She makes a point of talking with me about my weight and healthy weight gain every time, and says things like, "I know cheetos are delicious, but if you put cheetos in, you get a cheetos baby when it comes out." She's never asked about my eating habits, so it's all a judgmental assumption on her part. Next time she does it, I'm going to fill out a nasty review card. I lost a ton of weight to start with, and have only gained 4 pounds back, so I'm still well under my starting weight. How does that qualify me to hear her sactimony pony speech about how fat I am? Bitch.
My WTF is today is my birthday. We have not put anything about our pregnancy on social media and do not plan to until the baby is born. My husbands cousin knew this and told me happy birthday on facebook and that she hopes my pregnancy is going well.Hopefully it was deleted before any one saw it.
@labby18 I definitely have a hard time with it. I've lost weight with this one (I maintained for a long time with DS bc I also had crap nausea for so long with him), and only just started gaining. I won't be back at my starting weight for a while. It's a total mind eff. My one midwife was telling me how I was going to absolutely have GD bc of my weight, but to only do yoga and swim (? Bc I lift a lot?). But that I needed to gain weight soon. Then the doc at the a/s yesterday congratulated me for not gaining anything yet, and said I was ahead of the game.
I started gaining by the end of second, and had a substantial amount due to swelling. It all evens out in the end, though. I'm just trying to eat healthy and be active, too.
@labby18 I think I have the very best OB on earth! her response to me questioning my weight gain was, you're having a scheduled csection (due to prior csection), I don't really care how big the baby is and your the only one your hurting with excessive weight gain. She was very nice about it. Which I really appreciated bc with DS I vividly remember a Dr. in the group saying "you gained 6lbs last month, why?!?" I wanted to respond with why the F do you think, but I simply hung my head in shame. Do your best, some days will be great others will be meerhhhh and it's ok.

@cchenal07- I also don't plan to post anything to FB and didn't with my first pregnancy. There is a setting that you can enable that requires you to approve anything you are tagged in or gets posted to your wall. That way, you can check before it goes live.
@mrs_tacos WTF!? I would have said to that nurse, "Really??!! Is that how it works? Then I'm going to keep eating Cheetos because I'd love a Cheetos baby! Does it work with wine and pizza, too?"
@mrs_tacos WTF!? I would have said to that nurse, "Really??!! Is that how it works? Then I'm going to keep eating Cheetos because I'd love a Cheetos baby! Does it work with wine and pizza, too?"
I put on my best ice queen voice and informed her that actually, I hadn't touched cheetos recently. I also reminded her that I'm actually down over 20 pounds from my starting weight, and I'd appreciate it if her notes on my file reflected that. I'm actually really proud of how well I've eaten overall this pregnancy! Although I do love chocolate ice cream right now...and I really want cheetos after this discussion... so I'm about to go be a huge hypocrite at the 7eleven.
@mrs_tacos I'm still trying to find out what she meant by a cheeto baby. Did she mean you'd give birth to a baby that looks like a cheeto? Or that you'd have a baby that happens to like Cheetos? Either way, what an arse.

I wondered this, too. I have no issues with my child enjoying cheetos. I don't, however, want her to resemble one.
My WTF today is this damn HG I have. No nausea...and then. Boom! I stand up grab my desk proceed to sit right back down so I don't faint... these low blood pressure drops are killing me... my paraprofessionals in my classrooms are rockstars... I had a soda and saltines in front of me within seconds and they ushered my students outside to join in a PE class to give me a minute. This one episode lasted almost three hours. Ughhhh! I wasn't nauseated at all. Never was during the episode either. With DD I lost 78lbs, I was violently ill everyday on a full dosage of Diclegis... now with this friend... I take the minimal dosage of Diclegis but the blood pressure drops are awful. I envy everyone who is amazing at being pregnant!
@mrs_tacos - either way, really inappropriate and wildly unhelpful. Because if you do have issues with your weight, as a medical professional, she should really be offering you solutions instead of making fun of you.

I'd blame your 7-Eleven run on her. She's the one that brought up Cheetos! Crap...now I want cheetos too!

Oh man, apparently there is a cheese puff day this month, so our work brought in giant tubs of Cheetos and cheese puffs for everyone. It was so good!
@cchenal07 Happy Birthday. I'm sorry that people suck. DH's step-dad and sister both revealed our baby's sex on Facebook. They didn't tag us, but that's how a lot of family found out. People can be really inconsiderate on social media.
My WTF is how little self control I have. After reading the second mention of Cheetos in this thread, I'm on the phone asking DH to bring that shiz home in a threatening tone. Bring me all the cheetos!!!
@mrs_tacos I still don't understand the Cheeto baby comment, but what is with these nurses who act like they've never interacted with pregnant women?! Grrr. @labby18 This is the first time weight was discussed. I was overweight at the beginning, and have gained weight steadily, never lost any. But even DH mentioned the comment "we need to watch your weight" isn't very helpful. I'm over here like... I am watching it... watching it go up! But I should've asked more questions to see what expectations she had for my weight and what to do about it. I do eat/enjoy a lot of healthy foods and eat fruits and veggies every day... but I've also been craving ice cream and Dr Pepper, so I guess it's not exactly the right balance. I've always had pretty good self control over my diet, but apparently not while pregnant.
If I knew what triggered it I'd feel a little better lol.
So I read while I was lurking that someone asked the BGs why they had a -2 and I guess TB was letting people use the same username with different capitalization. So the people who made their account later get branded with the -2 you can change your username but it has to be different than it is now. Lame I know.
