I planned to take my DD to storytime before going in to work. Got an email this morning that "we all know today is awards day" and all the faculty in our dept should come up to the stage for a picture. Awards Day is on the academic calendar, but with no time, the email from this morning had no time, and I never got anything saying I needed to be there. I'm a new faculty member this year but I feel like they forget I don't just know about this stuff. DD is napping, and for all I know we've already missed it. I'm not changing our plans. I'll show up close to 11, and we'll see if I've missed it.

Duuuuude. I know this is all I complain about, but WTF SLEEP?! Where are you?! I used to love sleeping so much and now I dread it. I got 5 freaking hours last night. At least I'm not barfing yet. Small victories. Also WTF with my work day today. It hasn't even started and I KNOW it's going to be super annoying.
My WTF is my MIL. My husband is getting the clutch repaired on his Jeep, so he dropped it off and his mom brought him home so I wouldn't have to go out. (Between MS and a toddler, getting out the door early is impossible.) She wants to come in and see DD for a little while. Cool, NBD. Until she tells us that we're stunting our daughters growth, because we're not letting her walk around. Because it's 8 am and instead of letting my child do whatever she wants, I have her in her small play area (where she has enough room to walk around, TYVM). This is part of our daily routine. She has independent play time while mama throws up. We got in an argument about it and DH told her she could leave. I'm so sick of her. WTF gives you the right to comment on how I parent my child, when you're not even allowed to babysit because you're irresponsible and careless with her?
@vvitchhazel That would make my blood effing BOIL. Uh uh. No ma'am. Your husband was absolutely right to back you up and tell her to leave. Good for him and good for you for having a man who can stand up for his woman.
This is not pregnancy related. Unless you look at it as a pregnant woman who works 50 plus hours a week and is constantly finishing other people's jobs while trying to do my own job. The closers left my store a mess. Which means I have to pick up their slack. I'm so angry right now! I cannot stand lazy people!!!!
WTF giant corporation that makes it impossible for me to get rid of crappy employees?? One of my techs should have been terminated yesterday for attendance issues but because she accrued some PTO since Friday, they let her put it in to cover the 138384th shift she's missed since I started here in July. She's by far the worst employee I've ever had, and I've had close to 50. I'm so over it.
@Jellybelly119 ughhhhh, at least you can say she's had more than her fair share of chances when you *do* finally shake her?

My wtf is non preg related. At work today (hs teacher) we had state testing. I came back from my break and the covering teacher had all the kids walking around and talking with cell phones while the test was still happening!!! Cell phones are illegal during state testing. I asked him what happened and he literally said "I couldn't get them to be quiet and they all just took their cell phones." Ummmm.

@afternoonduck, that is an understatement! I've written her up once a week for performance issues as well. AND, they won't let me cut her hours down because then she can file unemployment to make up the difference. So I'm stuck with this useless employee that barely ever even comes in, so I can't hire anyone good. I'm so annoyed.
WTF to people that can't be professional at work. I am apparently "beefing" with this girl that has a very inflated sense of her self-importance and where she falls on the hierarchy. I've never received a look that could strike someone dead until the other day lol. I may have gotten her removed form a project that I am in charge of and she is not pleased even though she CONSTANTLY complains about how busy she is. She involves herself in everything so it's nearly impossible to avoid her.
Look, you don't have to like all of the people you work with, nor would I expect to like everyone that I come into contact with, but you DO have to act like the adult that you are and be cordial enough for people not to complain about your behavior to HR. Which has happened (my first ever HR complaint) by multiple people. She was literally talking to a different coworker about how everyone apparently thinks she is a bitch because she got written up for her poor attitude. An adult woman in a professional setting got WRITTEN UP for basically being a bitch to her coworkers. That is pathetic. And do you know how I know that? SHE IS TELLING PEOPLE. You guys, I don't work at the most proper place by any means, but we are in a pretty professional setting, it's not casual. Oh and the best part is is that she is pregnant and is blaming it on her hormones, but you better believe she was like this before as well.
The only silver lining is that if she takes her full 12 weeks then I will likely have had my child before she comes back from leave so that's a solid 24 weeks that I won't have to see her. Praise jesus hallelujah.

And this is why I am pulled the entire month of May to freaking proctor state tests for the entire school. Bc so many incompetent people. I guess 8th graders don't need math this month?
I am SO sick of my life revolving around food! I never thought I would lament having to constantly eat, but this is ridiculous. If I don't constantly snack I get light headed or nauseous. I wasn't a big snacker before and often skipped dinner, so having to plan my entire day around food is driving me bananas. At my job I schedule clients throughout the day, so I also have to make sure I have enough time between clients now to grab food so that I don't vomit on their carpet. I feel like I'm going to balloon in weight from eating so much more too

WTF to The Bump--why do they insist on putting videos in the middle of threads and then my computer automatically scrolls back to the video no matter what?!
(If this is happening to you, I recommend right clicking on the video, then click 'show controls' and then you can pause it--but sometimes that doesn't work/doesn't work for very long and I'm stuck and can't read the thread!)
