How old is baby? 8 months on May 7. I'm bad at math, you do it for me, please


Any milestones hit? No, not recently. He's not rolling, still nowhere near crawling, loves to babble, loves to eat his feet. Tries to clap, but doesn't spread his fingers out so he just bangs his fingers together. He ate some solids the other day and actually ingested some! He has been spitting them out with the most (adorable) disgusted face until recently. 


Weight and length? 18 lbs 1 oz


Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits? He is the happiest baby except when I want him to sleep at night and then the wrath of him will be there. 


What is your favourite thing to do with baby? Read books, bounce, make him laugh, take him places. I love doing everything with my baby. 


How are YOU feeling? Good, Tired and worn down, but overall good! I love being a mom and have, for the most part transitioned to motherhood quite well. It's had it's hard parts, don't get me wrong, but overall, good. 


When are you trying for next baby? ASAP. Someone tell my husband. Though I'd preferably get a new job first.

How old is baby?
He will turn eight months old on May 3rd.

Any milestones hit?
Recently started dragging himself on the floor, so soon he should crawl!! He turns over like a champion now! No teeth yet tho (but since I am breastfeeding I am not in a hurry for those.)

Weight and length?
About 20 pounds now? He was 18.1 pounds at his six month checkup and 27.5 inches but he's definitely longer now.

Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits?
He has the cutest smile! He smiles the most for his dad though, he always lights up when he sees him.

What is your favourite thing to do with baby?
When he sleeps on me! Breastfeeding him! When we go take walks! Sorry lol I can't pick just one.


How are YOU feeling?
Some days are hard but it's worth it! I try to take a little time for myself everyday otherwise I get really stressed out. My husband is really good about helping so that is definitely nice

When are you trying for next baby?
When Luciano is almost four, so 2020. But who knows I may change my mind and then lose it when they are too close in age.

8 months on May 4th. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?

Any milestones hit? She says Dada, and pulls herself up into furniture recently. 


Weight and length? 
If I had to guess around 17.5 lbs. We haven't had a well visit since she was six months. We go back at nine months. 

Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits?
Ugh...I love everything about her! She has this super cute pouty face that I could bite all day. She loves music like her daddy and she's really into listening to stories at the moment. 
What is your favourite thing to do with baby? 
Go to the park and play on the swings! 

How are YOU feeling? 
Good! Now that summer is coming up I cannot wait to have off and spend time with LO
When are you trying for next baby?
As soon as I get my period back....I'm Breast feeding and it hasn't returned.

How old is baby? 7 months yesterday


Any milestones hit? We have a crawler# and he loves to pull up on everything. He is eating solids 2 times a day. If only he would start sleeping through the night 


Weight and length? Last time he was at the doctor he was 17lbs. I think he is probably closer to 18 now.


Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits? He is a very happy and cuddly baby although he is starting to get mad when you take something away from him that he is not supposed to have 


What is your favourite thing to do with baby? I love laying on the ground and playing with him...and making him laugh.


How are you feeling? pretty good. Tired most days but it's manageable. Trying to get back on a workout routine that is pretty hit or miss.


When are you trying for next baby? Probably when he is around 2.


Questions, concerns, rants? LO is starting to get some separation anxiety And I'm just hoping he doesn't get it as bad as me. My mom said she couldn't even leave me with my dad for an extended period of time, so I'm really hoping he gets through this phase fast

Crawling for about a week now.

Weight and length?
 Nearly 20lbs (19lbs 11 ounces according to his bath scale) I don't know height. He was 27.25 at his 6 month.

Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits?
He is very active and curious. Crawling has significantly improved his mood. He would get very frustrated at his lack of mobility, and even though I have to watch him like a hawk now, I'm glad he's a happier baby. Sometimes when he laughs it's more like a chuckle which I find cute. When he's had enough food he'll close his eyes tightly like he's trying to make the food/spoon go away.

What is your favourite thing to do with baby?
Right now I just love watching him play by himself. He's been crawling for a week and i like watching to see where he wants to go, what toy he goes for, going from belly to sitting...it just fascinates me because he's been trying so hard for awhile now to crawl and he's finally mobile. He also does downward dog a lot and attempts to move forward in that position.

How are YOU feeling?
Overall good. Still trying to figure out if being a stay at home mom is for me or not. We are moving in the next 2-3 months. I quit my job because my lo got really sick in daycare (norovirus), and I knew once we moved i wouldn't want to make the long commute to my office. I decided to stay home with LO for now and see how i feel once we move and get settled in. Some days I can see myself not going back to work, other days I'm mentally updating my resume.

When are you trying for next baby?
Well H would like to try in September when lo is 1 and I should be done breastfeeding by then. I honestly could probably use a little more time but I'm 34 so I really don't have the luxury of time. I got pregnant right away with this babe, but I know that may not be the case the second time around. I will most likely start trying again in the fall.

Questions, concerns, rants?
Im looking for a new baby carrier. Lo doesn't seem to like the stroller for more than 30minutes at a time. I've noticed he does much better being worn. I have a regular Bjorn and am interested in something that will be good for bigger babies/toddlers. My research has led me to the Tula baby carrier. Anyone have the Tula? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I know we have discussed sippy cups, but I need to buy a new one. We have an avent one right now. He'll drink out of it if I hold the cup for him, but cannot drink out of it on his own. Anyone having success with a sippy cup?

@BabyBoyH92016 we've been using a straw cup. LO picked it up pretty easily. We really like the insulated Foogo cups. They have a flexible straw and keep stuff cold most of the day.

Turned 7 months on the 23rd

Any milestones hit? Waving, clapping, crawling, pulling into standing position, can go from stomach to sitting


Weight and length? 16.6 lbs, I don't remember height.


Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits?
She loves to dance and jump! She is such a happy little thing. She is also very determined. 

What is your favourite thing to do with baby?
I love to watch her! We play row, row, row your boat. We hold hands while sitting across from each other and go back and forth. Super cute and she will initiate it sometimes, which I just love.


How are YOU feeling?
Exhausted between waking up at night to work and home stress, exhausted.

When are you trying for next baby?
I don't know if we will.

How old is baby?
Going to be 8 months on the 30th...omg how is hat possible!

Any milestones hit?
Really started 'crawling' this week, more of an army crawl but gets her where she wants to go. Much happier now that she is mobile. Sits up on her own, started pulling up on things. 

Weight and length?
Was just over 13 lbs at her 6 month check up (it was almost 3 weeks late) still a little peanut but she seems to have had a little growth spurt since then. 25 inches long.

Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits?
So sweet, always smiling. Very adventurous at the moment. Loves 'blowing raspberries' at us. Will eat anything an everything we give her right now.

What is your favourite thing to do with baby?
Just watching her scoot around the house right now is great. Now that the weather is good I am hoping the park will be a big hit with her.


How are YOU feeling?
Tired but good. Trying to get motivated to start working out again... maybe next week.

When are you trying for next baby?
Maybe when she is a year old. Have to make sure I can get enough working hours in again before I would qualify for full mat leave payments again.

Just wish my husband was around more. He is out of the house for 13 hrs a day usually. He usually just makes it home in time to give her a bottle and put her to bed. If he is late he misses that too, and now he has signed up for a baseball team so those days he will not see her at all. Sucks for him and makes for a long day for me.

Any milestones hit?
He just started Army crawling last weekend. He is trying to pull up on stuff but can't really support his weight yet. We're trying to teach him high fives and to wave bye bye but he hasn't gotten it yet.

Weight and length?
No clue on the length but very, very tall. Weight is probably around 17.5 lbs.

Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits?
He's such a happy baby! He has hit this stage where all he does is laugh all day at everything. I don't think there is anything better than baby giggles.

What is your favourite thing to do with baby?
My favorite thing to do is hold him and cuddle
him. With him napping less, being on the move more and me being back at work this happens less and less. I try to get my cuddle time in on the weekends when he takes a nap. I should be putting him in the crib once he's asleep, but I cannot resist holding the whole time. It's my favorite thing ever. 

How are YOU feeling?
I'd be feeling better if this baby would stop trying to pull out the few remaining strands of hair I have left. Haha!

When are you trying for next baby?
We have tossed around starting sometime between October 2017 and January 2018. That still seems too soon to me though. However, I'm 32 (33 next month) so I kinda feel like the pressure is on if we want to have another.

Not really, but I wanted to say genetics are crazy! As a pretty ethnic looking Spaniard, I am still shocked sometimes I ended up with a fair skinned, light eyed baby. His hair seems to be getting lighter too and I would not be surprised if he turns blond. Funny how that works out.

7 months and a week.

Any milestones hit?
She can sit unsupported now, but doesn't know how to pull herself up just yet. She's quite good at army crawling but still hasn't figured out how to prop herself up on all limbs and lift her head at the same time. She babbles and blows raspberries like a champion. She's learned the sign for milk.

Weight and length?
Haven't had a checkup yet but the bathroom scale says 16 pounds. No idea on length.

Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits?
She LOVES blowing raspberries. Like, she will mimic you if you blow a raspberry at her, but won't mimic babbling. She also likes planking. When she's excited she goes "HUH" and sticks her legs straight out and up. The nurse at her cardiology appointment thought it was hilarious.

What is your favourite thing to do with baby?
Sleep, because sleep is my favorite thing, lol. I play airplane with her and her dad doesn't, he's better at tickling her than I am. It's pretty much the only way I can get her to laugh, but she laughs for daddy all the time.

How are YOU feeling?
Tired but more human. Still busy with school. Husband is getting out of the military before Sylvia's first birthday. We don't know where we're going yet... probably going to have to live with his parents for a bit. I got my IUD removed, turns out it was the cause of all my pain and woe. Husband got his vasectomy a week ago and I'm not sure if I'll go back on BC because every single kind I've tried has given me problems. Wish I could go back in time and get a tubal.

When are you trying for next baby?

How do they get the peanut butter inside the Reese's peanut butter cups?

But seriously, not much. I'm anxious to get a job and go back to work. Husband can't wait to be the stay at home parent. I'm worried about the future, but things seem to be fine for now.

8 months tomorrow May 1st. How is that possible.

Any milestones hit?
He is mobile with his own version of an army crawl. Makes him so much happier. Plus he climbs on everything especially me.

Weight and length?
15 lbs and 27 1/4 inches. Long and skinny.

Tell us about baby's personality, what are his/her cute little traits?
He is a stubborn and inquisitive child. He has to be involved in everything. Love when he smiles, he crunches his nose and his eyes look like little half moons. It is adorable and hard to stay upset at.

What is your favourite thing to do with baby?
Playing with him, snuggling with him, going on walks, and watching him figure things out.


How are YOU feeling?
Most days okay. I have my moments I think about changing jobs or wondering if we could swing me cutting my hours but then I bounce back to reality.

When are you trying for next baby?
After our wedding in October. I'll get off the birth control and then we'll just let nature take its course.

Is any else's little ones not jumping in weight that much any more. He seems to have slowed way down in growing. He gained length but not really any weight in the last month. He was a month early and was tiny so I know he'll be a little smaller than others until he catches up.

@jenkar01 yes! I posted about slow weight gain in the randoms a few weeks ago. I noticed a significant slow down in weight gain after lo turned 6months.

Mellowist baby of our three by far.  She loves trying to imitate big sister and brother.  She's very happy with Daddy but I get some great little baby hugs when she sees me.  I am so proud of her giant thighs

What is your favourite thing to do with baby?
Big fan of baby wearing.  Mornings hanging out in bed before the day gets started is always fun, she's so cute and happy at that time of day.  Just the usual play time stuff.  Fun to see how excited she gets over little things!


How are YOU feeling?
Not too bad.  Tired.  Stressed out about adult crap. But nothing unusual.  We're taking a weekend away (with kids) in a few weeks.  Will be nice to just escape the norm for a bit.

When are you trying for next baby?
Never. 3 is good.  Unless the vasectomy fails too?

Hmmm... I guess I'm starting to get a little worried about putting her in her own room.  I feel like she wakes up a lot because I'm in there with her.  So maybe she'll sleep better without me.  But I also like her being right there.  Either way, it'll probably be a month or more until she's moved.
