How many of us are still up? +1 for West Coast time, though that gets negated every morning when I miss out on all the fun threads.
1. When is your appointment? I had one this afternoon. 2. How far along will you be? 15w+6d 3. What does the appointment entail? Regular OB appointment. General checkup and listening to the little heartbeat! 4. Any feelings, concerns, thoughts you have about it? I feel much less anxious now than I did before the appointment. My first trimester screening showed low PAPP-A, but my OB assured us that she's seen many cases of low PAPP-A that turned out completely fine. She also said not to worry about the whooping cough outbreak at school since I had the booster recently, just that I should get another one in the third trimester to cover the baby, which I had planned to do anyway. Plus hearing that little heartbeat always makes me feel better!
3. What does the appointment entail? regular systems check up and fetal doppler plus discussing my horrible headaches.
4. Any feelings, concerns, thoughts you have about it? my appointment today felt too fast and too short. I loved hearing my lo's heart beat. She was very easy to find and moved on occasion. Doc. Tells me I need to take Tylenol and not grit through it. I'm also to get my eyes checked and a dental cleaning to stay healthy @soprano19 MST joining in before bed! Glad you had a smooth appointment!
@VLillyV during my first pregnancy I was reluctant to take Tylenol, but my doc told me I was being stupid (not in those words) and she was adamant that I should take it if in any pain (I had bad sciatica for a while). This pregnancy I've been taking it regularly for headaches. Hope you get some relief!
October 2017 June Siggy Challenge -- "You Had One Job!"
1. When is your appointment? It was this morning. 2. How far along will you be? I am 18+1 3. What does the appointment entail? Like @VLillyV mentionned, felt too fast, too short. We were in and out of the office in 10 mins. We heard baby's heartbeat (for 5 seconds) and we got the results of previous tests (stds, chromosomal abnormalities and blood tests). 4. Any feelings, concerns, thoughts you have about it? Everything was ok. Was such a relief to my anxious self to hear heartbeat. Music to my ears... But she did mention low papp a hormones... Hope everything goes ok
1. When is your appointment? It was on Monday 2. How far along will you be? 15W3D 3. What does the appointment entail? Got my blood drawn for the quad screening 4. Any feelings, concerns, thoughts you have about it? It took my doc a really long time to find a heartbeat so I started to get worried during the appt. The previous 2 visits she found it right away, so she thinks baby was maybe moving around a lot in there and giving trouble.
3. What does the appointment entail? Routine check up but it was with my new OB. I liked the new office and everyone was nice. Baby had a HR of 156 (dd was always 170s-180s, boy?) Other than that, no real news.
4. Any feelings, concerns, thoughts you have about it?
3. What does the appointment entail? Routine checkup and TSH labs (for my hypothyroidism)
4. Any feelings, concerns, thoughts you have about it? Just hoping my TSH levels have been steady. They stayed the same with DD, but my OB with her had me do labs every 4 weeks, this OB does them every 8 instead. Plus just a general sense of anxiety as usual. I'm excited to make my anatomy scan appointment though!
4. Any feelings, concerns, thoughts you have about it? well, baby was non cooperative and would not move to where they could actually measure the nuchal area. Spent a half hour changing position, eating sugar to wake baby up, poking my belly and the little bugger wouldn't cooperate. Got to hear and see a good heart beat and measured at 13+5. After discussion, ended up getting harmony test drawn instead. Excited to have that back and know gender - they said 2 weeks... It's a different kind of TWW
@VLillyV fwiw, I've taken so much more than tylenol this pregnancy and my OB is fine with it. Excedrin tension headache is helpful, it's just acetaminophen and caffeine. My OB also told me I can take up to 600mg of ibuprofen if I know it would be more likely to help. Just can't take it in the 3rd trimester. Oh and I got a script for Tylenol 3 and fioricet for migraines, so just throwing that out there if tylenol doesn't help and you want to discuss other options with them
@canonmom413 no problem! I was just excited because I actually have an appointment this week. And then I got side tracked and forgot to post my own lol
3. What does the appointment entail? Routine visit, checked hb, talked about meds for my headaches. My BP was ever so slightly above normal, but not enough for her to even mention (only the visit summary printout stated that). The nurse had a heck of a time finding baby's hb, stubborn little bug decided to play hide and seek and make me nervous
4. Any feelings, concerns, thoughts you have about it? everything was good and I'm excited for my anatomy scan 3 weeks from today!
