Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?
I'm having coffee cravings again, after months of not standing the smell. My hips have been hurting a lot at night, and I feel like I'm getting very round in the belly.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Any tips for hip pain? Do you think a chiropractor would help? GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). I loved my 18th birthday party. My parents happened to be out of town at the last minute, so it was super chill. I invited about 10 friends over, and we went sledding in our backyard, and then had cake and played pool. I just remember it being so chill and relaxed without parents and nothing was scheduled. I think that's what I never liked about other birthday parties, where you had to cut the cake at a certain time and open presents at a certain time. This was just hanging out with friends.
The chiropractor could definitely help with your hip pain! Also maybe sleeping with a pillow between your knees. Also, your round belly is adorable. If I saw you in public I'd probably be staring and smiling.
@wyomama0427 Aww thanks! Yesterday I saw one of my friends that I haven't seen in about two weeks and she commented that I'm starting to look really cute, and I thought that was an adorable way to note someone's belly without using "big" or "huge." And I do sleep with a pillow between my knees, so maybe it's time to try out the chiropractor.
@wyomama0427 I have one that does everyone around here. He gives the college's employees a discount so we only pay a normal copay instead of the 50% that our insurance doesn't cover. And I know he does pregnant ladies, so it's just a matter of making an appointment.
@mrsmarygs Another vote for the chiro! I hope you get some relief soon!
When is your ticker change day? Sunday
How far along are you? 21+1
How big is your baby (babies)? Baby bok choy, baseball hat or a carrot -- I feel like these three things are all very different sizes.
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? Blue!
Any upcoming appointments this week? Just a follow up with my endocrinologist to make sure my thyroid is behaving. Oh and we're doing an elective ultrasound on Saturday! I can't wait to spend some more time with our little guy. (Our anatomy scan left much to be desired.)
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? I'm eating and eating well!! FINALLY! No nausea and not nearly as many aversions. FINALLYYY!! But new symptom is if I walk to fast, I start to cramp. I'm naturally a fast walker so I have to constantly remind myself to sloooow dooowwwn.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I was stopped and complimented on my "cute bump" twice at BuyBuy Baby over the weekend. That was nice. Then someone else over the weekend asks "you sure there's just one in there?!" Freaking people. Haha. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). I think 27 was one of my favorite birthdays. There were just a lot of celebrations all around. Most years I'm pretty low key and don't want to do anything, but I remember feeling really loved that year.

Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? At the NT scan we were told 90% chance Team Blue. Can't wait to get 100% confirmation at the A/S!
Any upcoming appointments this week? Anatomy scan tomorrow morning!!
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Nothing new, still just pelvic/hip/pubic pain, constant hunger, heart burn.
Rants/Raves/Questions? GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). As a kid, my parents managed to make every birthday great, even when they didn't have money for a party. I remember especially loving my 11th Birthday- it was the first year I got to choose a restaurant to go to for my birthday dinner like an adult, and they have me $150 dollars to go shopping at the mall. We didn't have a lot of money growing up, and it was the first time I'd ever shopped at Limited Too or Gap Kids. I felt so special.
As an adult, a few years ago my OSU Buckeyes won the national championship on my birthday, and then DH surprised me with tickets to see one of my all-time favorite musicians, Damien Rice, in LA. He rarely tours the US, and the tickets sold out almost immediately, so I thought there'd be no way I could go. But DH was sneaky, and had bought the tickets months in advance, and we made a whole weekend vacation out of it. It was really the best surprise he's ever given me!
@mrsmarygs I also second the chiropractor! And if you can swing it, prenatal massages have been helping me too.
How far along are you? 20 weeks! I can't believe it
How big is your baby (babies)? A banana
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)?
Finding out tomorrow!
Any upcoming appointments this week?
Anatomy scan tomorrow at 4pm
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?
I'm finally pooping normal again
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm just feeling really good this week!
GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). I don't even remember which birthday it was, maybe 23 or 24? I got a deal for for all you can drink for 20 people at this awesome hole in the wall bar in NYC. My friends and I were the only ones there, there was an awesome DJ, and we danced all night long. It was such a blast!

How big is your baby (babies)? zucchini/gameboy/hedgehog
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? Blue!
Any upcoming appointments this week? Anatomy scan at noon today
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Feeling movement! And knowing for sure that it is movement of baby not other bodily functions haha Coffee also tastes good again which is heavenly. I don't particularly crave it, but I do enjoy a cup once a week or so..
Rants/Raves/Questions? Feeling a little anxious for our a/s today. Everything looked good last week on the ultrasound, but already knowing it is a boy takes out the fun anticipation and just leaves the more "what if" anticipation. If that makes sense. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). 27 was great! We had annual passes to Disney World and lived close so I got to spend my birthday there and it was amazing
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? i haven't had a single craving yet. I did yard work on Sunday because I had an unusual amount of energy. I've felt like death the last two days, going to bed at 8 each night. I guess I overdid it. Growing pains/cramps yesterday. Not hungry in evenings.
Rants/Raves/Questions? GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). two years ago, DH took me to a local winery I love for a picnic. They have this gorgeous outside space, right in the middle of the vineyard. It was lovely.
Any upcoming appointments this week? Had a quick one yesterday for a blood test, and we're getting an elective ultrasound this weekend
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?
The lower back and hip pain is sooo real but i finally got some of my energy back. As far as cravings, anything spicy!! I always enjoy it in the moment and regret it as soon as the heartburn hits.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm just so excited to find out baby's sex! The wait has been killing me.
GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). I think 21 was one of my favorites, not for all of the typical reasons but I went to this really fun outdoor music festival with all of my favorite people and it was such a good time. Good music, no drama and no worrying about whether my fake ID would get accepted
An artichoke, a sugar glider, a slingshot, or a croissant. Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)?
Team Green
Any upcoming appointments this week? A/S Tuesday the 2nd
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?
Most symptoms have been fading, thankfully!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Our Panorama test results came back last week and I want so badly to look at the results, just for added confirmation that everything is good. But the results tell me what the baby is. I was hoping there was a secret code, rather than boy/girl or male/female, but the nurse said no. It's clearly stated. So now I can't log on to the patient portal for the remainder of the pregnancy. Oh...and still no baby bump. I still look bloated.
GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). I'll never forget my 17th birthday. I few weeks before my mom told me on the way to school that I was finally getting a dog. A real, inside dog. (My evil-dad would never let us have inside dogs but they had just recently divorced.) It was a German Shepherd and she gave me the task of picking a name. Then finally when my birthday rolled around we went to the airport to pick him up. He was the best birthday present ever and lived to be 14, when we finally had to put him down almost a year ago exactly.
How big is your baby (babies)? The size of a banana or a paper airplane. Also 13 ounces based on the A/S yesterday.
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? Blue!
Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope. We had the A/S yesterday and the next appointment is a week from today at 21 weeks.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? I'm starting to feel a lot more movement. Definitely not everything... LO would not stop moving during the scan yesterday and I only felt him a few times. But I now know exactly what he feels like when he burrows into my pelvis.
Rants/Raves/Questions? *TW* My supervisor at work came in to my office this morning and started crying. She and her husband have been trying for their second and she told me she had a miscarriage about a month ago and so she felt like she's been a jerk for not being able to be as excited for me. And now I feel like a jerk even though I had no idea. She doesn't want me to not share but wanted me to understand if she had to leave or anything. Of course I started crying too. She gave me a baby carrier on Monday and a maternity shirt I'm wearing today. I didn't ask if they were going to keep trying... She turned 35 in March and wasn't going to try after that originally. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). My husband... 4 years ago? He downloaded the next season of a show I was hooked on where the first season was on Netflix but none of next and we spent all day cuddled on the couch.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Tension headaches still waking me up, heartburn, food sensitivities, morning gagging etc.
Rants/Raves/Questions? GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). One of my favorite birthdays as an adult...started out with waking up late-sleeping in with the BF at the time, doing a late brunch with all my besties at a super yummy resturant, then coming back to the house and taking a mid day nap while watching movies, and then went out to dinner and theater with the BF at the time. It was the perfect slow but filled day of celebration and joy...and those I loved!

Thursday now! They changed my due date to be the 21st instead of the 24th so I'm a Thursday girl now.
How far along are you? 19 weeks
How big is your baby (babies)? mango
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? will find out on Saturday during our "sykpe reveal party" with parents and siblings :P...can't wait!!! I've managed to not peek, but I dream about it everynight...I never get to open the box, it's just THERE. all. the. time. lol
Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope. A/S was on Monday, next appointment with the midwife is May 5.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? movement! hip pain! discomfort sleeping! bump!
Rants/Raves/Questions? meh. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). kid: idk, 11? A sleepover party with some besties. the year before was fun too (party at the neighbourhood pool with a waterslide) but I had just moved to a new province a few months earlier, so I hadn't figured out who my best friends were yet...so it was maybe the biggest party I ever had lol. I generally like smaller shin-digs! adult: 25 - DH and my parents planned a surprise visit and I had NO CLUE they were flying across the Atlantic to visit for a week until they showed up at our doorstep. It was amazing.

Any upcoming appointments this week? Not for a while... last check up and A/S was Friday
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Not really.. feeling better this week!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Our anatomy scan went great Friday! They said baby girl is "very busy" but looks perfect. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). I never loved birthday parties as a kid because I was so, so shy. One year (13,14... not sure) my mom took me to the really big mall an hour or so away. We stayed in the fancy hotel one night and just shopped for two days.. it was perfect!
@dogdisnylovr I feel your pain! We did genetic screening at week 10 and although I was told everything was low risk, I can't look at the report since it reveals the sex. Just an email click away, but we've resisted!
When is your ticker change day? Thursday
How far along are you? 22 weeks
How big is your baby (babies)? Coconut, or a bag of a half dozen bagels
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? Green
Any upcoming appointments this week? A/S last week, standard check up in 2 weeks.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? More lower back pain, nothing new with cravings... it changes all the time.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I've asked on other boards, but where do you get the best registry perks? We've set up registries at a few places, but we need to consolidate before we share and I want to make the most out of any discounts/deals we can get. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). Last year's was actually awesome. I turned 30 in June and me, DH, and three other couples had a nice dinner out at one of my favorite restaurants. It was really laid back and nice. Hoping to do something similar this year, but without the wine for me this time
When is your ticker change day? Thursday How far along are you? 19 Weeks
How big is your baby (babies)? Gameboy or Crepe Suzette (Yuuummmm)
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? We find out Monday!!!
Any upcoming appointments this week? A/S on Monday, super excited to find out what we have in there and to make sure that everything is healthy! Then my regular 20 Week appointment on Wednesday.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Nope, Baby Brain even seems to be getting better (or I've just gotten used to not being able to think)
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: Finally booked a place for a shower and picked out nursery theme for boy or girl, finally it seems like things are moving along. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). For my 25th Birthday we had all of our friends and some family over to the house and just had a nice laid back party and that was a really fun time. No drama, no leaving the house, minimal planning just great people and junk food.
ETA: change Rant to Rave and add additional appointment. I guess Baby Brain has no gotten any better....
When is your ticker change day? Thursday How far along are you? 19 Weeks
How big is your baby (babies)? Mango?
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? We find out on Wednesday.
Any upcoming appointments this week? Ultrasound on Wednesday, regular monthly appointment on Thursday
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? No -- the hip pain and back pain continue to be difficult, particularly at night. At this point I've tried yoga, prenatal massage, pillow between the legs, getting up from my desk more frequently from work. Nothing is really helping.
Rants/Raves/Questions? So we live 6+ hours away from our closer and more reliable family members. Since we relocated two years ago, we don't have too many close friends where we live now, and the friends we are close with have young children themselves. I'm really concerned about what we are going to do with DS (2.5 yrs) when I go into labor. His daycare is open from 7 AM - 6PM, but if I go into labor in the middle of the night we may be in a tricky spot. My nightmare situation is that I will have to go it alone if we are unable to find someone to watch DS. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). My 20th or so birthday my husband, then boyfriend, surprised me with a black pearl pendant and a handwritten ocean themed poem. The real surprise was a day trip he planned to the coast -- at the time a 10 hour round trip drive. This spontaneity was unusual for us, and I love spending time near the ocean.
Any upcoming appointments this week? nope just had the AS. now have to wait forever to meet with the Dr
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? lucky charms. I've learned the chocolate ones are not as good as the regular ones.
Rants/Raves/Questions? just raving that I'm halfway! Bought new birkenstocks for summer so I'm happy about that! GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). when I turned 14 my parents got me tickets for my first rock concert. I got to go with 2 of my friends and it was amazing!
When is your ticker change day? Tuesday. Totally forgot to post this week.
How far along are you?
21 weeks + 2 days.
How big is your baby (babies)? Baby bok choy. Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)?
Blue!
Any upcoming appointments this week?
Had a check-up yesterday. Nothing now for 4 more weeks.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? I woke up in the middle of the night this week and my entire stomach was tight. I thought maybe it was Braxton Hicks, but it was constant instead of intermittent and too high up. Guessing it was just indigestion or trapped gas, but it still made me nervous. Hasn't happened again since so I guess i should just lay off the greasy pizza.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant! I told my manager and one other team member who I work closely with that I am pregnant, but haven't made any announcement to the rest of my team (~10 people). Our team only meets once a week on Thursday's, and, since we all have offices in different areas, I don't see these people that often. Today, I finally wore a maternity dress where I clearly look pregnant and our team meeting got cancelled! Guess they'll have to wait another week to know that I'll be out for 5-6 months starting in September...
GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). I've had a lot of good birthdays! When I was a kid, I had sleepover/bowling/pool/pizza parties every year. My mom always planned fun games and I have great memories from them. On my 10th birthday, our childhood dog was born and we got to take her home to our family 8 weeks later. On my 29th birthday, I left for a solo two week trip to Bali. Last year, my husband and sister threw me a big 30th birthday party. And this year, we announced our pregnancy on social media!
Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? Just found out we're Team Blue!
Any upcoming appointments this week? Just had our A/S this morning. Everything looked good.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Doctor confirmed this morning that some of the pain I've been getting on my left side is fibroid pain. I wasn't sure if it was RLP or fibroid pain but turns out it was the fibroid. It's been manageable and it hasn't changed size but I hope it stays that way.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm having a baby boy! I thought it was a girl since the beginning but I was wrong. It'll take some time for me to wrap my head around it... but I'm excited! GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). Two years ago Hubby and I went to Temecula for my birthday weekend. We started the day with a hot air balloon ride and spend the rest of it drinking wine at a few vineyards. It was perfect.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Mostly the same 24/7 queasiness and some dry heaving.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant? I'm MF tired of DS not wanting to get into his car seat consistently. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). My husband surprised me for my 30th and flew out my best friend from high school and his wife for a visit. It was amazing.
@Carebella omg the car seat battle is ridiculous! DS is normally pretty good but when he decides he's not sitting down, it's the most frustrating thing!
@MyNamesTaken He was good for about 4 months and then it became hell. He's gotten better but the not knowing makes every trip stressful so I always try to limit outings to one stop. Made the mistake of two stops today and it's almost going on an hour now. I could force him... but I have no desire to have a physical battle and/or hear crying and screaming the whole way home.
Rants/Raves/Questions? None ATM GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult).
I don't really like birthdays. I usually just go out to eat. As a kid I don't remember doing anything spectacular. I suppose the best was when my dad bought me a favorite video game.
Any upcoming appointments this week? No. Next appointment is A/S on 5/10.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? horrendous leg cramps. Also, the absolute need for Fruit Loos at 2 am the other night.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm supposed to go to a wedding in Dallas this weekend. We were planning to leave today. Apparently there is supposed to be a big storm. Not sure I want to drive 6-8 hours into a potential hail storm/flooding. Especially when I need to get up frequently to stretch my cramping legs. Walking around in the rain has little appeal. DH refuses to express an opinion on ifvwe should go until after work tonight. Frustrating. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday I don't really have a favorite. One I'll always remember was my 29th. DH and I had just started dating. We had a laid back night, dinner at Chick-fil-A and shopping at some stores near by. Then we went home and cuddled. He was so upset that he hadn't planned something big and I was happy for the time to relax.

Aversions seem to have finally gone! I had a coffee and some lamb this week. Haven't been able to have either since I fell pregnant. Also lots more movement. DH got to feel her yesterday. This may have something to do with the coffee I can now drink
Rants/Raves/Questions? GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). 18! I had a Disney themed house party. The costumes people made were the best!!
How big is your baby (babies)? Anatomy scan on Monday said 14oz. Ticker says a burrito.

Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope, not for a month.
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Mild heartburn. I didn't have it at all with DS, hopefully this isn't a common thing for me this pregnancy.
Rants/Raves/Questions? It was a stressful week, but my anxiety is going down. I'm ready to go kayaking this weekend, and relax with some immediate family at a picnic tomorrow. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). Ohh.. hmm. The one that comes to mind first was my 22nd. I was living in a house with my bff senior year of college, and she made me a cake, and we had a bunch of friends over. The cake had pink icing, sparkly sprinkles, and a big Barbie candle, haha.
3. A coconut. I told my five year old that, and she yelled, "That's so big!"
3. Team Blue, first boy!
4. No appointments this week. I had my monthly chiro appointment a couple days ago and it was magical.
5. Nothing new.
6. No RRQs.
7. Favorite birthday... that is probably my 20th birthday. My friends literally picked me up, blindfolded me, and kidnapped my frommoue church sanctiuary after service and took me out for my birthday complete with balloons and silly birthday costumes at the resteraunt. I had no idea it was coming.

Nothing really new, but last week was the week I became sure that the spasms I've been feeling were really the LO kicking me in the bladder. Fun times!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Where, oh where has my waist gone! I'm a curvy woman, but I'm used to being an hourglass. Now I'm am apple.. people (women, who I know) have been coming up to me and asking if I am pregnant. It's get to be offensive, but it's apparently getting obvious.
GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult). My now-husband and I took our first cruise over my birthday a few years ago. At the captain's reception, he was told (not by us) that it was my birthday and he sang me Happy Birthday in front of everyone. It was actually quite endearing and special.

Except for last night, my insomnia has been much better this week, so I'm happy about that. No other symptoms of note.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm really happy that my cervical length has now remained stable for 3 weeks, so my anxiety about preterm labor can ease up a little bit. GTKY: Tell us about your favorite birthday (as a kid or as an adult).
Not sure if I have a favorite, but my last birthday (36) was pretty great. It was my first birthday at a new job, so the day before my birthday (I was going to be out of the office on the actual day), my coworkers surprised me with a cake and a little party. It was really sweet. Then my husband and I went to Chicago for the weekend and it was really nice to spend the whole day together on my birthday, see the sites, and eat some amazing food.

Well it's between my 18th and 20th. For my 18th I went shopping and to lunch with DH and my old boss and my sister. My 20th probably wins. DH picked my up from work that afternoon (I worked the lunch shift at the steakhouse waiting tables) and he ran inside while I finished smoking outside (gross I know but I've quit since then) and he came running outside telling me I NEEDED to get inside ASAP... he had spent all morning baking me a cake in a 13x9 pan, cut it in half and stacked it, frosted it, didn't know what to use as a serving tray so he put it on a flat frying pan.. and it turns out he accidentally got trick candles so when he lit them he couldn't put them out... he had to rush me inside to see them before they melted all over the cake and then he had to toss them in a bowl of water. It was adorable and makes me laugh every time I think about it!

And I do sleep with a pillow between my knees, so maybe it's time to try out the chiropractor.

Feeling a little anxious for our a/s today. Everything looked good last week on the ultrasound, but already knowing it is a boy takes out the fun anticipation and just leaves the more "what if" anticipation. If that makes sense.

My supervisor at work came in to my office this morning and started crying.

One year (13,14... not sure) my mom took me to the really big mall an hour or so away. We stayed in the fancy hotel one night and just shopped for two days.. it was perfect!

Nope, Baby Brain even seems to be getting better (or I've just gotten used to not being able to think)

No -- the hip pain and back pain continue to be difficult, particularly at night. At this point I've tried yoga, prenatal massage, pillow between the legs, getting up from my desk more frequently from work. Nothing is really helping.

Two years ago Hubby and I went to Temecula for my birthday weekend. We started the day with a hot air balloon ride and spend the rest of it drinking wine at a few vineyards. It was perfect.

I don't really like birthdays. I usually just go out to eat. As a kid I don't remember doing anything spectacular. I suppose the best was when my dad bought me a favorite video game.

7. Favorite birthday... that is probably my 20th birthday. My friends literally picked me up, blindfolded me, and kidnapped my frommoue church sanctiuary after service and took me out for my birthday complete with balloons and silly birthday costumes at the resteraunt. I had no idea it was coming.

Where, oh where has my waist gone! I'm a curvy woman, but I'm used to being an hourglass. Now I'm am apple.. people (women, who I know) have been coming up to me and asking if I am pregnant. It's get to be offensive, but it's apparently getting obvious.

My now-husband and I took our first cruise over my birthday a few years ago. At the captain's reception, he was told (not by us) that it was my birthday and he sang me Happy Birthday in front of everyone. It was actually quite endearing and special.
