Re: AMA 35+ check in 4/22/17

  • 1) how far along are you? EDD? 17w6d

    2) any appointments this week? I have an appointment this Thursday. It has been over a month since my last one so I am anxious.  I am also hoping they will schedule my as scan soon.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? I am feeling alright. Ready to feel this little one move.

GTKY: What is your favorite food to eat right now? I love all things carbs. Spaghetti is my favorite right now. Pizza is a close second.
  • 1) how far along are you? EDD?
    21w2d, due 9/1

    2) any appointments this week?
Yes, an appointment on Thursday for ultrasound to check cervical length and check-in with OB.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
I'm not sleeping as well as I'd like, but otherwise I feel fine. Still somewhat anxious about the whole risk of preterm labor thing, but if my appointment goes well this week, I'll be able to relax more.

GTKY: What is your favorite food to eat right now?
    Fruit and cheese.

  • @rhubarb7216 good luck at your apppointment. I hope that yourself gets better.
  • @Rhubarb7216  hope your appointment goes well!

    1) how far along are you? EDD? 20+2   9/8

    2) any appointments this week? Tomorrow morning with MFM specialist, OB on 5/11

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? Had a few glorious days with tiny amounts of degenerating fibroid pain while on my indocin round this week. House arrest is starting to wear me down. Tomorrow is a big deal because my pain level determines if I'll be hospitalized or monitored and allowed another round of Indocin. Husband is being great, and I'm trying to stay strong. I joked with my OB while in ER last week that at least my migraines stopped before this started. I think my sweet daith piercing is helping in that regard.

GTKY: What is your favorite food to eat right now? Still Tex-mex all the way. My sweet tooth is also huge...ate almost a whole apple pie last week, and my thought was at least it took a week! This can't mix well with bed rest and a looming GD test.
  • @IsItTacoTuesday good luck with your appointment tomorrow and I hope your pain stays away!
  • @isittacotuesday good luck at your appointment.  I hope your pain stays away
  • Thanks, ladies! I talked DH into taking the family out to Chuy's for lunch. Felt like I got jail broke...had to get out and a good meal just in case of bad news tomorrow. Pain still mild, which walking makes worse, so it's looking positive at the moment!
  • @isittacotuesday glad you guys got out for a good meal
  • @Rhubarb7216 and @IsItTacoTuesday good luck with your appts!

    1) how far along are you? EDD?
    19w3d

    2) any appointments this week?
Nope...had my a/s and regular appt on Fri

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
Feeling pretty good right now. My biggest gripe is constantly needing to pee and occasional leakage.

GTKY: What is your favorite food to eat right now?
Um, everything? I have less of a sweet tooth than my non pregnant self (that's not to say that I'm still not enjoying plenty of sweets) and I'm more into salty. Olives have never been more delicious.

  • @mamaofthegarden i agree it feels like we pee all the time.
  • 1) how far along are you? EDD?
    21+2 / Sept 2

    2) any appointments this week?
    nope - 5/3

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
Eh, getting more aches and pains and still the old usuals.

GTKY: What is your favorite food to eat right now?
I'm boring here. I don't have a favorite food to eat. We did have cake over the weekend and that was really delicious though. There's nothing I'm dying to eat though.

  • 1) how far along are you? EDD? 21+3, Sept 1.

    2) any appointments this week? Nope.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? Feeling good for the most part. Slightly concerned about a fibroid I was told about at my OB appointment last week. Apparently it's the size of a golf ball and could potentially block the cervix at labor because of its location. It means more ultrasounds to monitor it at this point.

GTKY: What is your favorite food to eat right now? Peanut butter sandwiches. Sourdough bread.

  • @Rhubarb7216 I hope Thursday goes well and eases your mind a bit.

  • @Inanigloo I hope the fibroid doesn't cause you too much trouble!

@Inanigloo fibroids are a weird beast...it may shrink as you continue 2nd and 3rd tri. It's due to hormones and common when fibroids are smaller than 2 inches. It's apparently not painful when they shrink due to hormones compared to degenerating. All that is per my doctor...I had 5 or so disappear that I never felt before Rexy, the big boy, degenerated. I really hope it works out so you can have the birth experience you want!  Even if how baby gets outside might be different than you imagined you will get to hold and love them.
  • Good morning all.

    1) how far along are you? EDD?
    I'm 20w5d

    2) any appointments this week?
    None this week.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
I'm so scared of food, still. If I'm not super careful what I eat and when (no sugar, low carb, protein and veggies only after 5 pm) I get this really awful taste in my mouth. Nothing can be done for it and my dr says it's harmless, but I miss being able to eat whatever is available. And I really miss drinks that are not water. Plain filtered water for the last three months. So sick of it.

GTKY: What is your favorite food to eat right now?
bacon and eggs first thing in the morning. It's pretty much the only full meal I'm getting these days.
  • 1) how far along are you? EDD?
    21 + 1, September 5

    2) any appointments this week?
I finally have my a/s and my second trimester doctor's appointment this Friday.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
I feel mostly fine, so I feel fortunate for that. I haven't been sleeping very well, and I've had some stress outside of the pregnancy (we moved to a new, very different state, we are in contract to buy a house, I got laid off...), so sleep would definitely come in handy right about now!

GTKY: What is your favorite food to eat right now?
    Pretty much everything? Hahaha.
  • 1) how far along are you? EDD?
    19+1 EDD 9/19

    2) any appointments this week?
Anatomy scan at MFM yesterday, found out that both of these babies are girls!! :-o

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
Feeling ok, was very overwhelmed at the news that I'm carrying two girls but it's starting to settle in. Both babies are measuring bigger than normal, one is 10 oz and the other is 11oz which are both well over a week ahead for where I'm supposed to be. I think I'm eating well but this has me worried for the GD test. Anyone else have babies measuring big at 19 weeks?

GTKY: What is your favorite food to eat right now?
Still eggs, been this way the whole time. Lol.

  • @BecauseLove rhubarb pie is the best! I love all things rhubarb (hence the screen name). I'm planning to make rhubarb pie when we have my family's mother's day celebration and I'm already dreaming about it. :)
  • @trixylaike I'm having twin girls too and had my a/s at 19+2. They were 11 and 12 oz. I thought that was bigger than "normal" but the tech didn't say anything. I've never had GD with any of my pregnancies and crossing my fingers I don't have it this time!
