Pregnancy and scars?

Not pregnant but TTC - I had childhood cancer when I was 4 and almost 20 years later I have a scar that covers about 3/4 of my stomach and it's starts from the right side just under my ribs across my stomach. I haven't asked any doctors yet - that'll be one of my questions but wanted to see how others scars faired with the stretching. Does it alter the scar? Burning, itching, pain, etc? Should I try putting some kind of oil or lotion on it now in prepartion?

Not sure if this applies, and I don't have any experience with it personally, but there's a blogger - Stephanie Nielson - who was in a plane crash and suffered massive scarring, and went on to have a successful pregnancy. Here are some articles about it:
