URGENT Question - Estradiol Patches and Dosage After IVF

Hi ladies, 

Are any of you using estradiol/estrogen patches after IVF? I had IVF abroad and my doctor here in the US is saying that the dosage prescribed abroad is too high. I've been using 3 patches at 100 mcgs/day for each patch or 7.6 mg estradiol in each patch. My doctor here thinks that is way too high and says that we don't even have anything with such a high dosage available here. I'm running out of patches today and I'm super pissed because my doc said it wouldn't be a problem to continue the meds prescribed abroad. He was on vacation so I wasn't able to see him until the day I need a refill which is today  . Just trying to find out what dosage everyone else is taking. Thanks in advance!

I was on 3 patches per day....swapping them out every 48 hours....for about the first 3 weeks. Now down to 2 patches. The brand I use is Mylan.

Each patch (I tried to include a picture but the app won't let me) contains 1.64 mg of estradiol. I got mine from prime therapeutics and they have next day delivery. I'm not sure if they have other dosages because I didn't need much (My estradiol numbers have always been good).

@QsMadd Thanks so much! My doctor has prescribed 50 mcgs/day and the IVF clinic said that should be OK. I just panicked a bit. When we've worked so hard to get to this point, I don't want anything to screw it up. When is your next ultrasound? I had my first today and he could see the sacs and yolks (there are two), but could barely see the fetus. He thinks it's just too early to tell so he wants me back in two weeks.

Good! It's stressful when you are running out of supplies and no one calls you back.

My next ultrasound is tomorrow morning. We couldn't really see the embryo last time (either hiding behind yolk sac or stopped growing at 3mm) so this one is pretty important.
