I didn't see anyone else start this yet, so thought I'd get the ball rolling!
1) How many weeks are you? 2) How are you feeling? 3) Any appointments or tests this week? 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where?
1) How many weeks are you? 16 weeks 2) How are you feeling? With the exception of lower back pain, pelvic pain, RLP and being tired, I'm feeling pretty great! 3) Any appointments or tests this week? None this week. 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave - starting to feel more Baby movement!! Loving it! Wish it would happen more often! 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? We were just in San Diego for a wedding without DD so that kinda was our babymoon. We're doing an "all about DD" overnight at Great Wolf at some point this summer, which we're calling a "family babymoon"!
1) How many weeks are you? 14 weeks - goodbye, first trimester! 2) How are you feeling? Last week was pretty great, but I overdid things this weekend and ended up needing an IV on Easter Hopefully starting to feel better now! 3) Any appointments or tests this week? N/A 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave - Our egg hunt announcement to the extended in-laws went perfectly! They were so surprised! 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? We may take a day trip on Mother's Day to go see some otters (my favorite) at the aquarium a few hours away, but otherwise nothing planned!
1) How many weeks are you? 15! 2) How are you feeling? Pretty good overall, my clothes are just getting uncomfortable! 3) Any appointments or tests this week? I had one yesterday! Baby is good, heart rate is 155bpm! 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? None at the moment! 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? Well were doing a "babymoon" after the baby. When baby is old enough it will stay with grandma and we're going to Fredericksburg, Texas and going wine tasting, DRINK ALL THE WINE!
1) How many weeks are you? 15 weeks 2) How are you feeling? Bleh. I think I have a cold. 3) Any appointments or tests this week? I have to go for my multiple marker screening sometime this week, probably tomorrow. Not sure whether it's a triple or quad screen though. 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I just wish I could feel movement so I knew everything was okay in there! 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? Not really... we have a few small trips planned between now and October, but they all have purposes other than a babymoon.
1) How many weeks are you? 15 weeks 2) How are you feeling? I'm feeling good! A little tired from travel this weekend, but otherwise good! 3) Any appointments or tests this week? None 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? We decided to find out what this little one is this weekend with my family. We told DH's family in person that we were expecting, so thought it would be cool to let my family be there for this. We're having a girl! We primarily have boys in my family, so everyone was excited. My cousin's little 6-year-old daughter was the last girl born in the family. She was probably the most excited, haha! 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? We are going to Mexico for our anniversary next month. It was planned as an anniversary trip so I can't really say it's a "Babymoon" per se. I guess it could serve as one.
Me: 31 DH: 35 Married since 05.16.2009 Expecting #1: 10.10.2017
@sdarling2010 DH and I were in San Diego back in November. We loved it there. Before we went I didn't want to go. Was convinced I wouldn't like it, haha.
2) How are you feeling? good other than my daily routine of throwing up in the morning and wanting to pass out by 3pm
3) Any appointments or tests this week? had an elective ultrasound on Saturday and baby looked awesome! Good heart beat and camera shy
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? found out it's a girl! After 2 boys we are excited to have a little girl. I'm the only female so far in the house...even the dog is a boy so I'm happy to have a little girl to hang out with
5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? not really. We are taking a family vacation to myrtle beach this summer and will be at my inlaws house in northern va for a few days before and after so we have plans to go into D.C. And see some old friends. But other than that we are old and lame lol! If I get a couple nights alone with the hubby I will call it a win!
1) How many weeks are you? 15! 2) How are you feeling? Feeling better each day, nausea is almost completely gone, just waiting for more energy to hit. 3) Any appointments or tests this week? Nothing this week, I have 3 appointments in the first couple of weeks in May (OB, perinatologist, hematologist - working on some ideas for L&D as I have a blood disorder) 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? We found out last week that we're having a girl, which I'm soooo very excited about our first is a boy and boys also run in my family (I'm the only granddaughter on both sides of my family) and then we FINALLY told my family this weekend while we were visiting for Easter, which was so much fun. 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? So we had planned on doing a tropical family vacation in September, but since that's not going to happen we are going to take DS to Disneyland and then go to a nearby island for a few days just the H and I in June.
1) How many weeks are you? 12 weeks 2) How are you feeling? Great! Except for major back pain and RLP pain 3) Any appointments or tests this week? NT scan is on Monday. I am also seeing a PT tomorrow for my back pain. I'm hoping for some relief soon! 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Found out we are having a girl! My DH is thrilled. We are telling both sets of parents on saturday at lunch. I bought girl onsies and will have each set unwrap them. 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? Nope. We have our usual family vacations planned, but I'd rather have a massage or pedicure over a babymoon, lol.
@soprano19@sdarling2010 The excitement seeing the baby "parts" on the u/s screen is so cool. There was no blood option for my DS, so I get that waiting feeling. It'll come fast, don't worry!!
@dmellis02 we didn't get any blood option with DD or this go around! I remember the wait with DD being hard, but this is just getting stupid! Probably because DD wants to know if she's getting a brother or sister ...
2) How are you feeling? much better, finally. Eating is easier and now only fighting headaches and RLP. TMI warning - Fun little side effect to eating more is, um, struggling more. I've got my first hemerrhoids ever. Didn't know what the itching was at first lol
3) Any appointments or tests this week? None this week. 3 more weeks to AS ugh!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Any fav remedies for hemerrhoids? I don't have any pain (yet?) just the itching is driving me crazy.
5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? I originally planned to go to Europe specifically for babymoon but chickened out at the $$. Hoping to get some sort of vacation in before baby but I've used so many of my vacation days already for sick days in 1st tri ):
1) How many weeks are you? 15 2) How are you feeling? Tired but good 3) Any appointments or tests this week?None 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I have felt some movement - usually after I get up after sitting for a while. 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? We are building a house and should close next month, so we're in the process of selling the current house, so things are a little hectic right now. Maybe after we get settled into the new house, we can think about a baby moon.
@PizzaMonster3 I'm sorry you're having to deal with hemorrhoids. They suck, as I'm sure you've realized already.
Things that have helped me (Warning: some may find this to be TMI):
- suppositories that are "medicated" or have a "cooling" effect. These help a lot at night especially, just before you go to bed. (Available OTC) - witch hazel on a cotton ball or round and left there for a bit. - Preparation H or similar helps for a little bit - Warm bath and then pushing it back in with your finger. This one comes directly my mom when I couldn't figure out what to do the first time! It sounds gross, but seriously helps and relieves the itch too. Followed by one of the above items after drying off.
Drink lots of water, eat foods high in fiber and try not to push/strain when you gotta go (easier said than done sometimes).
@PizzaMonster3 thankfully they usually do! Sometimes it can take a few days, other times a few weeks. If you catch them right away, they don't last as long. You're more prone to getting them easier now that you've had them, but as long as you stay regular the lower the chances of them coming back often. Mine pop up a couple times a year, but usually only when I'm extremely constipated. (If they start to bleed, call your doctor. I've never had this issue but it can happen.) Ah the joys of pregnancy!
@PizzaMonster3 I'd also add that Tucks (like the cotton ball with witch hazel) helped me after giving birth. They took awhile to go away, but they eventually do.
@PizzaMonster3 - i second the tucks! Super comfortable when you're not. Also, i had bleeding with dd and called the doc all worried. She told me not to worry, to drink more water, and eat more foods that are fiber rich.
1) How many weeks are you? 12 weeks 2) How are you feeling? still tired 3) Any appointments or tests this week? i had the nt scan yesterday and thankfully everything went well. 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? none this week 5) GTKY: Are you planning a "babymoon"? If so, where? most likely not, with dd being 2, its gotten very tough to go anywhere with her. She never wants to leave!
