Just getting done with work! Going grocery shopping now and then getting some sleep to prepare for the long day ahead of me tomorrow. First is brunch with my mom's side of the family, lunch/dinner with SO's family, and then a stop to see my dad's side of the family. I'm already tired just thinking about it .
Hi guys! Nothing much going on here today. Headed to the store here shortly. Tomorrow we will be going to church and just taking it easy. We will probably cook out. I really miss my family on the holidays.
We've had a busier than expected day. My parents are in town, staying with us. We went to lunch and decided to go to Babies R Us and look around. My parents now realize how much baby stuff there is now, and how expensive it can be! But it got us motivated to buy some stuff. Target had 10% off most baby stuff, so we got our crib, dresser, mattress, and car seat/stroller. DH is much more excited now that he can get the room together and it feels more real. But then, MIL calls to tell us DH's grandmother died. It sounds awful, but he's not close with her, and I've only met her once. We will have to drive 1.5 away to do family stuff for 2 days and DH gets to spend his birthday at a funeral, which really sucks.
Hi!! I've been at work today. It was a good easy day. I got home and took the dogs on a walk in the beautiful weather, and then caught half of Cinderella on Starz, and now I'm watching Big Fish.

Yesterday, we had some friends over for dinner and board games. Today, the plan is breakfast, church, nap, in-laws' house to eat some food and watch my nephew find Easter eggs. My SIL apparently bought 8 dozen cascarones (confetti eggs). I hate that tradition, but it's huge here. Was not a thing I grew up dealing with on Easter. If it's anything like last year, my nephew will spend a whole hour forcefully jamming those things against everyone's head. He's 3 and cute, but those eggs can hurt.
Happy weekend everyone! I've been a dirty lurker a lot lately. But things are going much better with my husband so this weekend has been great and exciting because we got to see our perfect baby on Thursday so now we are announcing to everyone we are having a beautiful baby girl!!!!! We are so thrilled! Our daughter is funny because she said she is a little excited. She loves her baby brother so thought 2 brothers would be even cooler but she is going to fall in love the second she sees her. But Lots of cooking, egg coloring and cleaning to do before my parents get here! Enjoy your families today ladies!!!
We colored eggs this morning but may wait until Daddy gets home from work to hunt them, I'm sad that DH is working but it's double time and he will will have enough light to hunt the eggs with us when he gets home, also this DS's second Easter so I guess it's a little different than his first? Not much because this is the first one where DS will probably be able to pick up his own eggs. We shall see. No church today as we haven't decided which church to go to yet. Will probably be watching the Easter specials on the history channel. I'm going to get on the laptop and see if I can share a pic of our awesome eggs that way.
@Souptin Happy Birthday!!! I hope you have a great day!
I feel a little guilty about not going to church today. We have a really nice church where DS was baptized but honestly, at this point it's difficult. DS loves playing with other kids but he is definitely not ok when he doesn't see me, DH, or my parents around. He freaks out so Sunday school is currently out of the question. He'll outgrow it, but taking him to the service is difficult for obvious reasons! Happy Easter everyone! DS and DH are still sleeping. This year we did plastic eggs filled with fun things, and half of them are filled with berries because DS loves berries! I still need to run down and hide those because they've been in the fridge all night. Anywho, again Happy Easter to all of you! I hope it's a really fun day for everyone
The in laws like to go out to eat for Easter Brunch.. so DH found a place downtown that had a buffet with a wide variety of items.. I trusted him. We pull up to Tacos and Tequila. I'm like hunny, this is not what I would have selected for Easter brunch! And Mexican?? You know I hate Mexican for breakfast.
The buffet was not worth the price.. they had chicken and waffles but the waffles were hard, cold, difficult to cut, very very very sweet. That was the only true breakfast food besides fruit. The rest was tacos, enchiladas, and rice. I was not happy, especially considering the price for the poor quality of food. Boo!

Holy crap you guys. I totally forgot that DH's birthday is on Wednesday and our 2nd anniversary is next Thursday!!!!
Also @Sugargirl1019 I am so sorry brunch wasn't good! It's so sad when that happens, I got so excited about that new fresh mozzarella salad at Wendy's and it let me down so hard. It's very sad. I hope you have a better day! And better food!
Hey y'all! Checking in after a weekend in New Orleans. It was our second anniversary/babymoon trip even though it's a little early for both. Our anniversary is in May, but we had so much fun and I am walked out! I'd post some pictures, but I'm on mobile.
Finally got home after leaving Friday afternoon. Had a wedding rehearsal to go to Friday night (DH was in it not me, so I just got to sit and chill) then the wedding Saturday night. Started driving home this morning and were told to go to DH's aunt's house instead for Easter lunch. We kinda wanted to skip so we couldn't bum a the house instead but went anyways. It was a good lunch and I only got my belly touched once all weekend. And at least I think was by a family member so I just went with it. And they all wanted to do their family version of the pencil test. According to the pencil I am having a girl hahaha. But they sent me home w banana pudding so life isn't good. Now I am not getting off my couch ever again.
We didn't end up going to church either. I woke up with my pelvic area so sore it hurts to walk. It feels like the baby spent all night using my pelvic bone as a punching bag. So we watched the church service on TV, and DH made us some of the tastiest pancakes I've ever had. He bought some new pancake mix at the fru fru health store down the road, and they were amazingly fluffy and light. Also, I had the weirdest (for me) pregnancy craving so far- I drenched my pancakes in maple syrup. I HATE maple syrup, but this pregnancy I can not get enough of it! Anyway, we've been playing games most of the afternoon, and now we're about to grill hamburgers. I'm very glad we decided not to travel to see family and just spend the weekend together. I am so excited for this baby, but I know these last few month just us will be precious memories in the years to come.
I felt like Violet from Willy Wonka after the whole gum debacle. I wish I could have been rolled out of my in laws rather than having to walk lol.
Yessss. Way too much. But it was all delicious. And I think we figured out a date and place for the Baby-Que (July 30th). It's only about a 1h45 drive for me (everyone except H, my bestfriend, and I live in Maine).
But we ate at like 5pm, and four hours later I'm still stuffed.

@Souptin Happy birthday! You should definitely eat all the steak and ice cream! That sounds delicious.
I'm sorry to everyone having a stressful time.
