  • @shytonia it can definitely have a tint. I'm late to your sex question but the nurse at my RE's office said it would be OK and that DH shouldn't be affected by it. If we have sex at night I wait to put in the suppository but if i've already put it in he's out of luck. oh and definitely no oral... with my suppositories everything is an oil slick down there!

  • I've taken both the pill form and the suppository form. The pills are great because there's no mess involved but for some reason I feel better taking the suppositories... is that weird?
@ShyTonia I've had yellow and clear as well. I think it's normal but I'm no expert!
  • Thanks guys!
@Marley629 yes sometimes like a yellow peachy. It was hard to describe, because it's def not pink/red nor brown. Peachy is a good description  thank you. lol.

@wabash15 ok thanks for the tips!

@vhill74 what didn't you like about the pill form? I've only taken the suppositories but I think I remember hearing the pill form is really hard on your stomach?
  • @ShyTonia I liked the pills just fine and didn't have any major side effects other than they knocked me out within minutes but taking the suppositories makes me feel more secure... as if they're doing more. I'm not sure why, I know it's all in my head.  :#
  • I was on Crinone suppository supplements for about the last week and I'm pretty sure they gave me a nasty yeast infection. I think all of the leftover clumps inside irritated me and then when I tried to scoop the clumps out with my finger (sorry tmi) it only irritated me more. Yesterday my skin down there was so red and raw and sore that I literally could not pee because it stung way too much.

i called my doctor and she was able to prescribe me an anti-yeast cream, and she told me to stop taking the Crinone in case I'm having some sort of allergic reaction.

I was able to pee this morning and while my skin down there still hurt a little bit, peeing didn't sting.
i have another doctor appointment tomorrow so hopefully I can get an update and maybe a different progesterone supplement to take.

i also feel nervous because this whole week I thought I didn't have any spotting, but now that much of the leftover progesterone has come out in clumps, some of them were stained with red blood. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that everything is okay.
  • I switch from the suppositories to the pills. The pill makes me so nauseous and sleepy but the vaginal ones were freaking me out with the discharge colors.

Has anyone noticed a change in their cervix position when inserting the suppositories? When I first started them 5w, it was pretty low.  Now depending on the time of day it ranges from high (when I first wake up) to medium ( the rest of the day).  Anyone else experiencing this? I'm 8w4d now.
  • @grochril hmm I'll try to have a better awareness of my cervical position.... In terms of crinone I had a similar Allergic reaction to prometrium so be careful.. I would ask your doc for an alternative whole you take the yeast meds
  • @grochil I admittedly know nothing about progesterone supplements, but I know that the cervix naturally changes position during the day/night in a normal cycle. Not quite sure if that's true during pg as well, but it could be.
  • @camomile_june thanks for the input!  I'm sure the supplements don't affect it, but because I use them I couldn't help notice the change during the day.
