@DPandMB 2015 were you there as well? Our joke name was "The Snarklings" Edit: autocorrect did me dirty
Yes. I was on tre A15 board but DD was born in March. I knew your name seems familiar. I want to say you had a Tina Fey picture then. Yes? I know I'm a stalker.
I left during he whole TB debacle when they fired our mods and put the Bump Gods in place. Then I went to one of the spin off boards and left there when there was a big rebel flag/racism debacle.
NO way! How fun that you're here now! You're thinking of sharkfarts who had the Tina Fey picture ( dont even ask how I remember that because I dont remember mine but I remember that one) I had my original account deleted when all that nasty stuff went down. I went to that spin off group for a bit as well- also jumped ship at the rebel flag issue but at that point I was close with the old regs and we were all on FB together. Like all good things there have been rifts and whatnot but I'm still in touch with a good number of them.
Yay. Glad to see a familiar face. Hope you A15 baby is doing good. Mine is a terrible two. I took a much needed break after all the drama. I can't imagine what some of the recently left ladies would have thought about that board.
@SSG I can't wait to find out the gender too. I feel like most of the ladies here know the gender already and I'm just over here waiting for the 27th of this month! The date can't come soon enough! When are you finding out?
Have my AS on the 8th of May, that when I get to know the gender of my baby.
@jena333-2 I think it's an organic thing that happens in most groups. By this point in my last bmb the regs had a fb group already going but hindsight being what it was it was probably too early because let me tell you. .some serious coconuts lived in that bunch! But 3 years later a few of my closest friends I've met through those groups so the bumps in the road were worth it. it's a really cool bond having a tribe go through the seasons of motherhood together. The early days especially are really damn hard...having that group saved my sanity more than once.
I agree with @Souptin. When there are a bunch of crazy people on the internet, it's hard to tell which ones are true and who are the crazies. Overtime they come out and then the smaller groups form. After the various explosions in various places with my last I joined a mom group with a bunch of people I went to high school. There are still a bunch of crazies there too.
I've posted a bit here but definitely sporadically so I will re-intro.
****All the TWs for losses and IF, LC****
I am 39, DH is 42. I live in Boston (shocker) and work mostly from home. We are expecting #2 9/6. But this is my 5th pregnancy. I lost a singleton, twins and a singleton before having DS (currently 9 months old) last June. My first pregnancy was IVF following multiple IUIs. DS was spontaneous (as was this pregnancy.)
I have been around TB for some time and pretty active previously on a bunch of boards. I have been part of Nov15, Dec15 (a lot), March16, July17 (DS' BMB) and TTGP.
I love science, snark, gifs and wish everyone a h&h 9.
*eta- We are staying Team Green again for this LO.
Hi everyone!! My name is Corey and I'm a semi lurker. I'm 32 and expecting baby #3. We have 2 sweet boys already (1.5 and 4). Here's to happy and healthy babies for everyone!

@mcdoug211and@bridge-and-wall I'm in Corpus Christi! Hello South Texans, it would be fun to have a creepy internet meet up for Tacos or a summer shaved ice. Let me know if you are reasonably close and would like to.
@wyomama0427 just saw in the bf post the hour is a very recent thing for your hubby...sorry I didn't acknowledge that in my previous response!! Hope it gets under control quickly and doesn't cause problems long-term. Hate to hear you're dealing with health issues with your family!
@bridge-and-wall crazy small world! I've been fairly quiet except the AMA posts. If it's not too creepy and you'd want to meet let me know.
@wyomama0427 Dang it! SA is pretty close to me and I we could've met up!

I intro'd way back when I got my bfp and posted a couple times, but I've been lurking since and felt weird just jumping back in after so long. I'm Sara, I'm 28 and this is baby #4 for DH and I. Our kids are 8, 5 (6 next month) and 3. EDD is October 1st, but I've never gone to my due date before, so I'm pretty positive this one will be a September baby. I'm really hoping it doesn't decide to prove me wrong lol
**TW** I'm PGAL. We had 2 chemicals last spring, then had a MMC in November at 10 weeks. I've been insanely anxious this pregnancy and finally started calming down once I was able to find the HB with my doppler and passed my loss milestone
@sjohns08 I am so sorry for your losses, but congratulations! Hope you have a very healthy and uneventful pregnancy! Nice to meet you, excited to get to know you!
edited to add, I meant congratulations on this baby and passing your milestone, I reread my comment and It sounded really funky
@wyomama0427 lol thank you! Definitely felt a weight off my shoulders once I passed the loss milestone, still have more anxiety than with my other pregnancies. This is absolutely our last, so I'm just going to do my best to let myself be excited so I don't regret not enjoying this one last time
@sjohns08 we've got a lot of PGAL mamas here! I can't imagine how scary PGAL is or the anxiety you're having, but I'm glad you're feeling a little better and are going to come play with us! We'll help you enjoy this time!
Hi all! I've been around awhile, but haven't posted yet. I'm more of an observer most times, but it's been an awesome support to have you all to relate to this time around! I'm 18+2 with my 2nd and anxiously awaiting my May AS to see what this little one is going to be!
I'm mostly a lurker, but I pop in every once in a while for some snark.
I'm 32, I have 2 boys: 4 yo and 15 months. Pregnant with boy/girl twins. I was fairly active on my last BMB and I have stayed in contact with about 20 of those girls. It's fun to watch all of the babies grow. So I would like to be more active here, so I'll try to step up my game.
Hi everyone! I'm Heather 29 from New Hampshire. My husband and I have struggled through infertility for three years as well as a loss. We are excited for our first baby!!! My first trimester was nausea and exhaustion but pretty easy compared to others. My second trimester has been extremely uncomfortable due to a pinched nerve in my back.
A little about myself.... Hmmm well I am a police dispatcher/emergency call taker working mainly overnights. It's an extremely stressful and thankless job. My husband and I have a beautiful farm in the town we grew up in on Lake Winnipesaukee. We have several competition horses and a mini donkey. I spent most of my life competing all over the country and even worked for a member of the US Olympic team. We also have a pitbull named LillyPad who is our four legged baby and her brother Dozer. We are huge homebodies and enjoy spending time working around the farm. My husband is a suit by day and a farm boy by night lol.
I am going to make an effort to be less of a lurker! Work and farm life make it hard.
@Souptin and @DPandMB I was an active member of Mar15, but I also deleted my old account when things changed. There is a large number of us on fb. I remember some of the A15 moms.

Really?! That's awesome. What was your old name?
Edit it to say although I was a A15, I lurked in Mar14 a lot.
@DPandMB old name was knitnut. I also lurked in the surrounding boards and was used to people popping in from all over TB. I tried PB for a while, but couldn't keep up with it there after the baby was born.

Wait- are we in one of the same A15 FB groups? I'm in a couple of them and hardly remember user names anymore. I dived out of PB too, it wasnt worth keeping up with after the confederate flag crap went down.

That's the same time I jumped ship. Too much for me.
Ok Ok Ok.......... I am a lurker. I joined full force back in late January and was so excited to maybe "meet" some mom friends (I am 39 so I don't have a ton of gals around me having kids right now...) Well, I posted about not really wanting to learn the gender of the baby and BAM - there was a whole issue with someone being like "YOU CALLED IT GENDER!! IT'S THE SEX!" and i was so turned off i was like "see ya" and never came back.
Now I am 19 weeks and having a boy (excited to know so i never have to use "gender" or "sex" again!) and I check in every once in a while on these boards but never posted... but now i figure - what the hell, let's give it another shot! So here I am!
Any of you ladies in the Philly area?? Would love to get some local connections!

Hi! that was me and I never said anything like that. In fact I was quite polite about it. Congratulations on having a boy. I can understand why its hard for you to make friends, good luck on this go around. The community is quite lovely.
@ke0009 interesting. I was just thinking about how many of the moms here have been using the term gender and gender reveal without anyone saying anything. This place is tame in comparison and sunshine/rainbows to the old bump I love. No offense moms, I still love you. The truth is, it is sex, not gender. They are different things and a lot of people perpetuate the wrong terminology.
Until that specific conversation, I actually had no idea that gender and sex were too different things. I guess if I had sat down and thought about it, I could have figured it out. But growing up, we always used the word "gender" because "sex" was a "bad" word in my conservative family. Also, transgender people were a lot less common then, or at least a lot less vocal. But now that I know, I usually just say "boy or girl," and I've also been calling my gender reveal party, just a reveal party. Sex reveal party still seems a little dirty
@lilpoots I noticed it this morning too. I have to admit that it drives me crazy. I get that some people don't know the difference, but once it's explained then it's not hard to switch.
I was talking with a friend who says "gender reveal" may actually be more appropriate since it's telling people which heteronormative gender stereotypes people are following, not anything to do with the actual anatomy. It was interesting. I guess the only anatomy specific items would be opening a Peepee Teepee for a boy and I don't even know what for a girl. Lol
@MyNameWasTaken FYI PeePee Teepes ..total waste of money! Boys will pee when you open their diaper- its just going to happen. Something about the cool air hitting him that stimulates them to pee, once you open the diaper let the air touch him for a second and just hold the open diaper over him for a second to "catch the flow"

With DS I ran a wipe over the area below his belly button and blew on it, then gave him a minute. He almost always peed within a minute or two. It usually worked, I haven't been peed on but maybe a few times! edited because wow my tenses were not in agreement

We got some as a joke gift after DS was born. Used it once and never bothered again. The pee stream knocked it off anyway!
@Souptin - Wow. Thanks for the ugly comment about making friends. I never mentioned you and in fact, wasn't even referring to you - it was the other girl in the thread back then (don't even remember her name) that was completely rude and made a comment that i would probably "dirty delete" my post that turned me off to these boards... (I didn't even know what that meant until someone explained it to me)...
But i am glad you made that nasty, unecessary, comment - reminds me why I should remain a lurker.
Annnnd, I'm done again. Maybe I'll check back in in another 19 weeks.
