Given the issues we've been having in our Grad thread lately (people posting who shouldn't, people not posting who should), and the lovely example set by @LuND, I made a thing. Thoughts?
@LoveInDC I mostly love it but my honest opinion about the third option (asking grads in your BMB) if there are others in their same situation it might make them think they should all post. Maybe just take out the ask the grads in your BMB part...? I really love the rest though! Sorry if I'm being too critical, I'm in a horrible mood thanks to CD1 and I saw someone who moved quietly onto their BMB very recently and then complain that no one has asked her to come back and post in the grad thread after being on here only about 6 weeks or so

@lulu1180 critiques are super welcome! I obviously can't speak for the whole board, so the more opinions, the better! I included the "ask the grads" to direct people who are on the fence. The grads will (helpfully) tell them what to do minus flames.

To me posting in the grad thread means you put in your time. You developed relationships and tried to get pregnant. You didn't just have sex and get lucky. You graduated from our board. For example, I went to college for a year and then found a great full time job and left. But they didn't give me a cap and gown for that shit. I just moved on with my life.
So I think the flow chart is great!

Thanks @tamalahoops! Although, I am reminded of a recent SS who talked about how they "really tried" for 1 cycle in her "grad" post. Not everyone has that common sense perspective

@LoveInDC I love that chart! I wish we could get that one and the one @LuND made added to the Newbie Guide! I do agree with @lulu1180 about taking out the 'ask the other grads' bit - I could see people being so excited about being KU that they encourage people on the fence to post who maybe shouldn't. I really think that like @tamalahoops said, it's for people who worked hard, participated and graduated, and really feel like people know if they should post or not
Update to remove "ask the grads" Feelings about adding this to future grad threads? Or should it live like @LuND's masterpiece that comes out as needed?
@LoveInDC I kinda like the idea of adding it to the grad thread - I feel like it's harder to ignore than just a line saying 'if you were a regular member'... although regardless, we know there will always be the odd person who just can't help it, but maybe this will cut back on them!
I agree with @Sailing_Mama that I think it should be added to the grad thread. Do you want to start a separate thread or poll asking about the change @LoveInDC? That might get more attention that it being in the randoms

I'm definitely a newbie here so here's my perspective. While I'd be super excited to get a bfp so soon and I'd love to share my news I will just ghost out of here. I'll miss you all and your humor, support and love but I'd just disappear.
I'm so sad right now. My wedding dress had a small stain on it and I put it next to the laundry area so I could try to treat it today. My husband decided that he was going to be helpful and washed the dress (which is fine for the material), but then he put it in the dryer. I now have a Barbie doll-sized wedding dress I know it's just a dress and that our wedding is long-gone, but I'm so sad that I'll never be able to put it on again. He feels really badly about it and I'm trying not to be mad at him because I know he just wanted to be helpful, but my heart is a little broken.

I agree with what @tamalahoops said, and I love the chart. That said, I'm not sure where I fit in. Since I'm benched, I don't post in the dailies, but because I'm not medically benched I don't feel comfortable posting in the benched weekly thread. However, I've been on TB for four months now and have invested in everyone's story, and participate in other threads fairly frequently, so part of me feels like I should be able to post my BFP if and when it happens. I guess it will depend on when it happens and the vibe of the board at that moment.
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@jsnakehole There's a whole lotta gray. But as I mentioned on the poll thread, you won't be benched when you get your BFP (obviously) so there's opportunity for you to post then. And part of the chart is that you go off what most applies to you. As a frequent poster on numerous threads for 4+ months, I think that would give you the green light over not being in WTO for that whole time. But as you said, it's something to feel out in the moment. Rest assured, there are many TTGP lurkers who will PM someone if they leave without a proper goodbye that we think is deserved
@LoveInDC and @MJDsquared thanks for that. As I said, I'm going to feel things out when the time comes. Hopefully, it'll be an entirely new crowd since all of y'all will have moved on to your BMBs by the time my husband gets back. And I'll be sitting around here as the old person talking about how things were, like Grandpa Simpson.

@jsnakehole IMO I wouldn't have a problem with you posting in the grad thread. You're in a unique situation and have been an active member in the threads that you can be until you are able to actively TTC again. Also, just because you are not benched for medical reasons doesn't mean you can't post in the benched thread. It is for those who started to TTC and had to stop for reasons beyond their control. I think you fit the description perfectly. Just my two cents on the whole situation
