@JNR6510 I am in awe of how saintly you are. I would have gotten fed up the moment DH walked out and they were still there.

I just did a refresh of the spreadsheet, and I couldn't believe how many one-time posters there were! We have a ton of lurkers, you guys.
And that's after I moved a lot of people over! There were several people I didn't move, even though I haven't seen them post, because they ARE logging in. They should come play with us!

I found the lurkers post and shamelessly copied... I hope they don't mind... it's a compliment really... it's a really good idea.
  • It wasn't me lol it was July! All credit to them lol
  • @MrsJessS omg that is a total pet peeve. Especially with online applications. I uploaded my resume. That should be enough. But noooooo, of course they have a fill in the blank section where they want all of the information all over again. Definitely feel like most of the time resumes only get skimmed through.
  • I keep forgetting to add myself to the spreadsheet, because it involves actually sitting down at a computer
  • @lilpoots me too.. I kept meaning to sit down at my computer and do it, then I totally forgot. I need to do that tonight!

the owner of my company is pissing me off...he's FINALLY reading the replying to emails. but he's replying to things that have already been resolved, but replying to emails that are 3 weeks old and are no longer relevant. However, the 50+ outstanding items that i need answers to go on being ignored. ughhhh...
it is seriously the most mondayest monday to ever monday ever! i just want to cry and go home...i'm still going thru emails. there were 600 that came in during the weekend (we usually get 400).

  • @Msashley2010 and the timeline for replying to applications is insane.  I literally got a rejection email last week from a job I applied for in August or September of last year!
  • Lmfao @mrsmarygs yeah I had to look into what you were talking about... she called us racist...?

  • @angeladowns1 I feel the same! I also have an anterior placenta and  I'm like if I have to endure this MS... I at least want to enjoy the fun parts of being pregnant. Like feeling my LO move!

  • @wyomama0427 I don't remember anyone her actually having drama with her, just being a little uncomfortable with some things she said. When was anyone racist or condescending to her? Am I forgetting things? Also, it's really not cool to go bad mouthing one board on another board. She's lucky these BMBs are relatively new, because that will get you hardcore flamed many other places on TB.

  • @mrs_tacos I was having a hard time remembering anyone being rude or condescending or racist to her... ever... in fact I remember people actually being interested because she said she was Muslim and people were interested in the names she was talking about...
  • @Becky012016 Yes, that's her.

I remember having a theory that she was an AE for someone else who had had drama, because a few things were just very similar, but I'll have to go back and and look at old posts to remember who it was. If so, it could explain the odd accusations. I also still think it's really weird that a whole other BMB was like, "Oh, she says everyone over there is racist. Seems legit, welcome to our group."

  • @mrs_tacos I don't remember seeing anything being called out at racist but an AE would be an interesting explanation for her. Didn't her username change too?
  • There is 2 dudes on the lose in my parents neighborhood.. it's past my sons bed time and im stuck at the house until the cops find the dudes

We didn't catch what she was doing because I don't think anyone knew we had an issue. There really wasn't any drama.

  • New BF. We just got home from the clinic. DH was in a lot of pain today and I was worried he had some kind of stress fracture... turns out he has gout. Ughhhhhh what??
  • @wyomama0427 What? That's crazy! Are they going to be able to help him have less pain?

Whaaaat? At such a young age? How crazy!! Will they start him on the medication and encourage the diet?

  • @mrs_tacos they got him started on medicine to help with the pain and the flare ups, they said we need to talk to our primary to see if it keeps happening and if they want him on a long term medication.
@Sugargirl1019 the diet thing is so strange, we dont drink.. like ever, we rarely eat red meat, we don't eat a ton of processed foods since I mostly cook, the only thing on the "bad" list they gave us he's even had in the last year or more was bacon! His mom has gout too so I'm sure that's a huge reason but yeah, he's almost 23... and he's actually really healthy. No tobacco or alcohol, pretty good diet... it's so weird. Ughhh.
  • @wyomama0427  Sorry. Hopefully we finds some relief soon without having to make too many adjustments.
My BF (late) is my co-workers. The local schools had Spring Break last week, so a lot of people were off. I worked a different schedule last week to cover, and now I'm on another different shift this week to cover for someone else. We're talking a five hour difference in the shift, not just staying an hour late or something.
Then yesterday when people came back, they're bitching about being back at work. Um... at least you had time off and enjoyed your family for a week on a cruise while others stayed here and filled in for you. Blah.

  • @wyomama0427 I am sorry to hear about DH. My dad just was diagnosed with gout, so I'm starting to learn a little more about it. I cant imagine at such a young age and healthy. Hopefully it will just be a one time thing and he wont have to go on medication.

  • @wyomama0427 Wow!  That's crazy at such a young age. I wonder if in his case its more hereditary and less diet since it sounds like he doesn't eat/drink the things that supposedly cause gout. Hope you can find some answers and his meds work for him.

New BF. We just got home from the clinic. DH was in a lot of pain today and I was worried he had some kind of stress fracture... turns out he has gout. Ughhhhhh what??
I think H was 33 when he had his first gout flare up. Our doctor at the time told him, "I just pretend you're 20 years older than you are, and then diagnose you" (because he also has had some serious blood clots). He was on Allopurinol and that helped him (until they put him on Coumadin, you can't take them together. Now that he's a Coumadin-failure, I suppose he could go back on it).

It's weird, but manageable :) The Allopurinol is a daily med, and he didn't have any side effects. They switched him to Colchicine (as needed during flare ups) because it can be taken with the Coumadin he was on.
  • Thanks everyone!! @DPandMB the doctor we saw at the clinic did say that there's a chance he could not have any more flare ups for a long time, so that gave me hope! @mrsmarygs that's what I was thinking too, because he is so young and the diet part doesn't make sense at all. Ugh.
@jena333-2  For now they've just prescribed him medicine to treat this flare up and if he doesn't have another one we probably won't do a long term medicine. She said she wouldn't do any long term medicine right now because starting it during a flare up could make the flare up worse... so that's dumb. Thanks for sharing your experience! It's good to know that it's manageable for sure. The doctor said gout before she even did the blood work, she just knew and I was like no way... he just sprained his ankle or something... nope!
  • @wyomama0427  has he ever had this problem before? i just think it's strange that they are like "it's Gout!" when he's perfectly healthy and young otherwise. I would get another opinion, if you can. I just would be careful about just accepting the diagnosis from an urgent care clinic, especially because how that kind of diagnosis can affect things that we've discussed that he potentially wants to do, as in disqualify him. :grimace:
