I have today off. And instead of sitting on my butt, I need to clean our whole house and do a bunch of small projects (regrout one part of our shower, recaulk master and guest showers, clean out drawers of furniture that'll be going to storage, etc). I just want to nap.

Meeting at 9am, I have a million things to do, but I squeezed this meeting in for this guy and he can't even show up on time. Tardiness is a huge pet peeve of mine. It makes me feel like they think my time is less important. 

Eta also I am nauseous and need to eat but instead I am sitting here waiting for this jerk.

I feel like I've gained like 10 pounds already. You wouldn't think that would be the case since I'm so nauseous, but of course I'm somehow also very hungry and have no restraint anymore. I haven't weighed myself because I'm too afraid. Why can't I eat like a normal person??

Forever nauseous and the doctor won't see me until I'm 8 weeks pregnant. I have yet to eat a full meal that I didn't end up throwing up.

I'm going to a friend's Passover dinner tonight (which I'm excited about) but she's going to make me eat gefilte fish to be polite and the thought of that makes me want to vomit. Looking up pictures did not help. Kind of tempted to tell her I'm pregnant so I don't have to.

Frosted Flakes WAS one of my very few safe foods until this morning. Baby has decided we hate cereal now.

also. My pants don't fit. I can't button them. So in spite of it being absurdly early for this, my mom is coming to take me to buy maternity pants today so I don't have to keep pulling on pants held together by a hair tie and wearing long shirts to hide the hair tie situation.

@Roliepoliecoley4 I hear you. I'm exhausted today. Only 3 hours into my 12 hour shift but so very Happy I have an orientee who is taking most of the assignment. Also very tired of my abdomen hurting every time I eat something, even the smallest amount.

For the love of god children, eat your breakfasts! Why is it such a pain in the butt to get you to stop talking long enough to eat your food? I know last week was spring break and you didn't have school, but now you do. Gah! It's not that he's not hungry, or even that he's playing with the food, they are just too busy talking to bother eating. The 1 yr old doesn't talk, but he is too busy listening to the 4 yr old chatter to eat.

Ummm yeah I'd be spilling the beans or else spilling my dinner. Gefilte fish sounds so gross right now.

Ugh I know I'm so irrational but come on DH. He worked overtime last night and slept for 3 hours while at work. Comes home and has been currently asleep for 4 more hours. I miss you. Wake up! Hormonal problems! Lol

Just the usual. Exhausted and nauseous, and I have to leave for afternoon shift in a few minutes. I was up in the motn with severe nausea and I was so sick. Kids were up for the day at 7. So tired!!

Coworker in an open concept office has her desk fan on as she eats tofu for lunch, and I feel like the fan is just blowing food smells directly at me. I'm sure her lunch is good but I just CAN'T with the stench today. Trying everything I can think of to distract myself (and prevent gagging at my desk).

My husband called from work and said, "someone put organic snacks in the candy drawer. Was your Mom over?" lol. I was dying. So that's DH's Monday b-fest. It was me btw. I can't control myself with that drawer full of Easter candy.

I am on a conference call that is spawning additional conference calls. I hate conference calls. I am too nauseous for work today.

This drives me nuts!!! Even when I take the time to tell DD that we are running behind and she needs to stay focused on eating, it seriously takes her 30 minutes to eat two pieces of toast. 

My gripe today is thay that I was asked to come in 11-7 instead of my normal 9-5, just in case we get busy, and the restaurant is SO dead. We finally have weather nice enough that I could have taken DD out for a ride on the bike I got her for her birthday (we got a blizzard that day), and now I'm stuck in an empty restaurant until 7.

I got an "accommodation" at work to be able to work from home on days that the nausea is particularly bad, but every time I do, my boss sends me some snarky email with yet more requirements and changing his mind about something he told me the week before.  He told me not to tell him ahead of time and it was too much work to keep track of, and just email the whole unit that I was working from home that day.  Then I had to send him a list of tasks I was working on.  Then I had to include the team lead on the list of tasks email (and don't get me started on wtf I have a team lead when my team is only four people -- my boss, team lead, me, and 1 other---in the first place).  Then we had to have another meeting to discuss and clarify the accommodation.  Now, today, I have to let him know asap when I know I'll be working from home in the morning (which, sometimes is not until I should be at work, because my head's been in a toilet all morning), BEFORE I email the whole unit, and then if I haven't heard from him by the time I'm supposed to be in, I can email everyone.  And I have to let him now if it's accommodation-related or not.  Guess what, buddy?  Alllllll working from home is "accommodation" related right now.  We talked about that.  I'm not *allowed* to just spontaneously work from home with no notice UNLESS it's accommodation related.  And how am I supposed to keep all this straight when your rules change every week?  It's not like I'm doing it excessively.  They allow two days a month as it is, and I'm using about double that--about once a week.  And I do my best to not have to do it on a day where I have important meetings, and I'm still getting my work done and more.  So. Lay. Off.

@DuchessOfCambridge, thanks!  I'm just doing what I can to start building my consulting business on the side and can't wait till November so I can just go on mat. leave and then never come back.  I knew on day 1 of this job that I made a mistake ignoring red flags and taking it and can't wait till I'm out.

My bitch is that no one told me how difficult being pregnant with a toddler is. Good lord it's exhausting. And I feel like I'm not being fair to DS because he wants to play and go to the park and stuff and I've been laying on the couch trying not to puke and/or to stay awake. 

My other bitch is that my daily iced black tea from Starbucks was giving me a little bit of energy. But the past few times I've had it, I've gotten nauseous halfway through and had to put it in the fridge for later, but today I took one sip and gagged. I don't know if it's a bad batch or if baby hates it but ughhhh

Rolling my eyes so hard at DH. This weekend I started dealing with some nausea and it was pretty bad this morning:

Me: I don't feel good
DH: Why don't you take the day off?
Me: I'll probably need those sick days later if this gets worse. I should save them.
DH: I don't feel great either, maybe [restaurant name] poisoned us.
Me: Don't say that! That's even worse.

Just now he texted to see how I'm doing. 
Me: Not as bad as first thing this morning, but still not awesome.
DH: I'm sorry hun. I wonder why.


First, don't even say food poisoning in my presence. Second, I WONDER WHY??? He knows I'm KU right? I'm a little concerned right now that he has no idea what's coming over the next 33 weeks and beyond.

This one isn't me personally, but my SIL (A) who is due next month is apparently being consistently asked by my future SIL (E) if her due date has moved up yet.  *facepalm*  A announced her pregnancy/due date BEFORE E chose her wedding date (she picked a week after A's due date) and was engaged for a whole year before finally setting the date.  One of these dates is not movable and came first.  Don't make A feel bad because you didn't have the courtesy to pick a later (or earlier) wedding date.  MIL's also fussing because A doesn't plan on bringing the baby to the wedding (as he will be a week old) but plans on her mom staying home with him.  Like, really people?  Come on...

@DutchessOfCambridge - That sounds like such a neat experience!  But all the nope on gefilte fish.  Had to google it.  Just, no.

@NYTino24, yeah I'm going to talk to him about it tomorrow, I can't even respond to the email it made me so ragey.  One of my other teammates works from home for a couple hours every.single.morning and every.single.night so I don't know why this is a problem.  I have a feeling because a) I'm a woman and b) people don't realize how hard pregnancy can be on some people.  He's made comments about how his wife never felt this sick, so I think part of him thinks I'm milking this.

@jess0211 What kind of consulting biz are you starting?  Good luck!

Another bitch:  Can TB not figure out a better algorithm such that when you @ somebody to go to tag them, those that have posted on the same board pop up first?? So annoying...

@SweetMelissa4 how frustrating that your boss doesn't seem to trust your judgement--especially regarding pregnancy, which as a man he obviously knows nothing about! 

So just when it seems seems like this cold or whatever I have is starting to get better, now I'm having this severe pain in my ear. It's awful...I can handle a runny nose and cough without taking any meds, but this is almost unbearable. Ugh

I am fighting a UTI.  I called my OB office first thing this morning and the receptionist told me to come in for labs.  I tried to pee in the cup but I have a raging infection so it was just a few dribbles.  The lab tech said it clearly wasn't enough to run her tests.  I apologized but explained I was there because I'm not making urine.  She rolled her eyes and said it would be 48 hours for results.  I left in tears because I was in so much pain.  I promptly drove to Urgent Care and saw a doctor.  Miraculously the amount of urine I was outputting was enough for them and antibiotics were promptly called in.  I feel so  much better now.  I love my OB but I think I am going to have to complain when I have my next appointment.

Christ sake DH. Cannot I not come home to you having done what you said you would? Without the damn excuses of "needed" to do sh*t you added on yourself. Which includes bringing crap from his old apartment into the house. We decided NOT to take anything else. I don't want his crap lamps, and there's no way he cleaned them before bringing them from his dusty basement apartment. Just vacuum and do the dishes like you said you would yesterday. They're all his anyways since I can't eat and I never get him to actually vacuum.
