My parents are coming to visit next month and we really needed to get new blinds in the guest room. All I said was we should probably take care of it before they visit, and DH measured, went to Lowe's and bought the blinds, and installed them without any nagging from me. He is always like that with home projects! I'm so grateful.
What awesome things have your SOs done this week?
Nov 17 BMB May Siggy Challenge: Mother's Day Fails
DH has been all around awesome this pregnancy. Last time he was ummmm less than awesome so he's working really hard to make up for it this go around. He's been picking up all my slack with housework and DS even though he works 70 hrs a week and still trying to make life easier for me
DH is working today and he keeps texting or calling to check in on how I'm feeling. He knows I don't like when he has to work on a weekend and he's being really sweet about it. It's the little thoughtful moments that mean so much to me!
we are telling my parents about baby today and had to clean the house but I got hit with an awful bout of morning sickness and despite him having a hurt back he did ALL the cleaning for me this morning!
My DH has been picking up my slack on the housework lately! Dishes, taking care of DS, mopping. He's also already gone out twice to get me things I'm craving, which I never did in my first pregnancy, so he's really going with the flow!
Last night he made me and the kids pancakes for dinner, and then took care of the 11mo in the motn when he woke up, so I slept 9 hours! This morning he took 2.5yo to the grocery store and brought home cupcakes!!
I'm sleeping A LOT recently and Husband has been cooking, cleaning, walking the dogs and even going to bed at 8:30pm with me since he knows I sleep better with him. He knew I was having a hard time eating and brought me home juice and fruit, and always reminds me to take my vitamins if I forget. Instead of watching tv in the morning he's been reading his dad book, and frequently I catch him staring at me and smiling. He's kind of amazing.
Last night around 10 pm I really wanted a bagel from Dunkin. This morning, DH ran out and got me a bagel without me even mentioning it. He also ran out again for me because I forgot a card for the baby shower I went to today.
I was exhausted after lunch (really all day 24/7) so went upstairs to lie down. He took the kids out to play and I woke up three hours later! Thanks DH!
DH was awesome today with helping with our 15 month old. He's always helpful in general, but I was exhausted today, and he took care of DD all day. *swoon*
He is up with me right now because I'm sick so he is just sitting there holding my hand. Even though I know he went to bed at 2 am and is probably exhausted. So sweet.
You guys make me tear up! DH has been getting on my nerves a lot lately but after reading this he has been a lot more helpful than I give him credit for. He's been picking up all the dog poop instead of just waiting for me to do it. He cleans the cat litter (which he has always said he'd never do even if I got pregnant, and has never done until my BFP) and the smell of the pantry has made me overly nauseous so if I need anything from there he has been getting it for me (I wonder how long it'll last before he gets fed up lol) he's also done the dishes lately for me if I ask and has been apologizing if he didn't get to it (he works 2 jobs, 6 hours and 8 hours) so he doesn't have much time for any of this but still does it all
Re: Why My SO is Awesome 4/8
He is doing such a wonderful job of making a house I didn't particularly want into such a lovely home.
Foot rubs.
Every night.
Awesome!
