So i never watched Gilmore Girls until recently. The Year in the Life was the 1st season I watched...and it was horrible. I then decided, 'ey let's watch the whole series on Netflix because there has to be a reason why everyone is so like OMG. After 6months of my life was wasted watching SEVEN 21 episode seasons, I think it's stupid. I can see the charm 15 years ago...for when I was like 12, but no. It is not that great of a show. The only character I enjoyed was Emily Gilmore.

@labby18 I never watched Gilmore Girls when I was younger, but around the time A Year in the Life was about to come on, I watched all seven seasons. I enjoyed the first couple seasons of Rory's highschool life, and I really enjoyed the pop culture references and seeing the styles from the early 2000s. I would screenshot stuff and send them to my younger sister like, "See it was fashionable to wear a long sleeved t-shirt under a short sleeved t-shirt." But once Rory got to college, I started hating her character. Maybe because I could see so much of myself in her, and I don't want to believe that I have the potential to hurt so many people.
A Year in the Life was just horrible.

  • @labby18 My roommate freshman year was obsessed with Gilmore girls. She would have parties in our room and all kinds of ladies would cram in to watch it. Even back then I didn't understand why everyone liked it so much.

  • @dogdisnylovr I've almost unfollowed my mom for the same reason.

Since I never got the second trimester energy (very jealous @wyomama0427), and I'm constantly tired, I never want to clean the kitchen. So I have started to leave the dishes on the sink until DH breaks down and does them. Its usually takes a day, maybe two, but I've become ok with it.
Haha me too!!! I'm actually watching DH empty the dishwasher right now. I just don't have the energy  :|

  • @bridge-and-wall My mom almost got the Facebook boot as well, thankfully my step-dad talked some sense into her and she stopped all the political madness.
  • Thanks for picking up my slack today @labby18

  • @mrs_tacos She definitely didn't need to add the last part about not having kids so you MUST not be able to have family plans. Eye roll.
  • @awildrose I keep saying I'm 18 weeks and I'm only 17weeks as of yesterday. :expressionless: #pregnancybrain lol

  • @LosAngelesMama I always round it up whenever someone asks.  If I'm a couple days away from being considered the next week I'll just go with it.

First: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Gilmore Girls.  I do hate Rory's character sometimes and even the Lorelei/Luke thing is frustrating sometimes, but I think that's why i like the show, the characters are real even though the setting is totally not real life.  Plus like someone else said, I watched it the first time it was out and I was about the same age as Rory and could identify with her.

Second: My FFFC: I'm not a fan of gender reveal parties.  I don't mind people who do have them, but for myself, I am afraid of what my reaction might be and I don't want other people seeing that.  I've just been having super strong and surprising reactions to things lately.  I know that I will love either one, I don't want a huge group of people seeing my initial reaction.  Plus, I will not leave that A/S without knowing, I refuse to wait one more second.
Regarding your FFC: for my DS my husband and I found out together at the ultrasound and had a gender reveal party where the grand parents got to open the surprise. They were going to be pumped regardless (I mean we were super excited regardless too but if there was any disappointment in my face only DH and ultrasound lady saw lol) it was a lot of fun and only immediate family and friends I knew that wanted to come were invited
  • @lap018 That's actually a great idea, I will definitely keep that in mind!  Thanks for the suggestion!

I hate Snapchat. Runs and hides...
I cannot figure out how Snapchat works...receiving, sending, nearly all of it. The only thing I know how to appear is the filters.
I don't even know how to do the filters. My 20 month old sent out a snap chat on my phone this week lol.

My confession: I've eaten way too much crap today.
  • @Carebella I can't figure out how to send snapchats. It's just so frustrating and I feel so old because I can't figure it out. My 2yo loves the filters and so that's what I use it for, entertaining a 2yo.
