announcement plans

As we are nearing the end of the first trimester (or some of us are already past it) I was wondering what your plans to announce your pregnancy to the rest of the world?  I know some ladies have already let people know, how did that go?  How are you announcing to your family?  Are you planning something for social media? Tell me all about it

In some ways this is selfish because after 3 announcements I feel like everything is been there, done that and I'm really looking for a new idea for announcing to our families.  We have a lot of friends all over the place because we have moved frequently so on May 4th I was planning on posting a picture on Facebook and Instagram with the other 3 kids dressed up as Star Wars characters and a sign that says "the Fourth is with us, Due Oct 2017"

Past announcement ideas I used for family were: with our first on Father's day we gave the Grandpas to be mugs that said "Grandpa"  It was funny seeing FIL trying to rationalize it away before everything clicked.  With our second we sent DS downstairs wearing a shirt that said Big Brother Jason, it took forever for someone to notice and we all had a good laugh.  For the third I blew an egg until it was hollow and put a note inside saying "baby S #3 due in October" and gave it to the Grandmas for Easter.  I am just stuck this time!

Hey!  most of us have posted in the Social Media Announcment thread. Many have included family announcements as well.

Opps sorry! I looked and didn't see anything, but wasn't thinking about social announcments.  I'll c&p most of this over there and see if I can figure out how to DD
