I don't remember if I've shared this, but DH started his own business the same month I found out I was pregnant. No stress there or anything. He's been putting in some crazy long hours to get everything up and running, which definitely leaves more of the house stuff/DD stuff in my hands. Which is fine - I know he's working his butt off and not sitting back having a beer and watching TV while I'm busting my butt around the house. 

This morning I got out of the shower and heard him upstairs with DD through the monitor. Usually he has to leave before she gets up, but this morning he was there getting her up, getting her dressed and ready for the day and...cleaning up all the pee. Yep, she had completely peed through her pull up in the middle of the night. All over her clothes, her sleeping bags (we're in a period that we are refusing to sleep in a bed, only on a sleeping bag on the floor. Whatever.). Everything. All that pee....that I didn't have to clean up this morning. It was amazing.

We also determined that his love language is farts. They should probably add that chapter into the book.

He did all the "work" last night in bed.  Oh how I love my Dh. I guess he figured if he didn't , he wouldn't be getting any, ha!

Ummm...he killed the wasp that got in so I didn't have to move out.  I'm not even upset that he got wasp spray on the curtains because I'd rather have a wasp free house. (So not looking forward to "wasp in the house" season...yes that is a thing here.)

He went to a fancy retirement lunch at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and brought me back a piece of cheesecake!!!!  I loooove Cheesecake.

It's grilling season again!!!! Which means I can stop feeling guilty about not cooking. Not only does he grill meat but he always makes a veggie side dish.

Mine just got back from 4 days out of town, so he hasn't been around to do anything good, but boy is he making up for it this weekend by taking DS on a boy's weekend. That's two nights and two days I'm getting ALL TO MYSELF for the first time in more than two years. My plans include working on the garden and napping.

@riverraine That sounds beautiful. My DH mentioned taking my DS camping this summer, just the two of them. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it, and I already have my book picked out.

He leaves for work at 5am, gets home around 6pm, then goes to work on our house for a few hours at night (we are building a house and he's doing almost all the work himself, he's busting ass trying to get it done before the baby arrives).

aww I love this thread every time. Sometimes, we have rough patches but there is always something I can appreciate about muh baby daddy

My SO is awesome because he has been there for me during this hard time for me. He's not normally compassionate (grew up in a hard neighborhood) and he's learning everyday how to be kinder to me emotionally. He's trying to learn because he knows that our lo is not going to be as emotionally savvy as an adult. It makes me so proud.

He's also been working his tail off and saving money so we can buy LO things. He can't wait til we know the gender so he can buy the first pair of shoes.

He's awesome because he just got home from work and comfortable for an after work nap - saw that I still haven't been able to keep anything down today - and went downstairs to make me a PB&J sandwich. He even made sure I told him what my PB to J ratios were. Broke out the special apricot jam we've been raving about lately. Delivered it back upstairs to me with a smile.

I stayed home today and was just so exhausted. He came home and started cleaning up the wreck of the house and asked what I wanted for dinner. Feeling very grateful today to have support.

My DH has been extra supportive and attentive, giving me the time and space that I need. My days have been insanely busy at the office this week (weekend work plus 12-hour days) and he has taken care of the dog, making dinner, etc. And now he wants to start reading books to my tummy. Every day he makes me love him more.

Yesterday I was so sick, could not eat anything and he let me sit on the couch all day and do literally nothing. He went to the store to get steak for dinner and he asked me if I wanted one and I literally gagged at the thought of it. I woke up from a nap and he had made dinner and asked if I wanted a bite of his steak, I felt better so I took a bite and was actually able to eat so he gave me half his steak. This was all after he spent the morning deep cleaning the bathroom. I am definitely spoiled in the SO department.

DH has been super swamped at work and has been getting home a bit later than usual.  I was feeling sick the other night and was tired from looking after my one-year-old all day.. so I told him to grab dinner on the way home because I didn't feel like making anything.  He asked me like 20 times what he could pick me up for supper but I kept telling him nothing because I felt too nauseated. Well after he got home I started to feel better and I mentioned that I was hungry.. so he drove all the way back into town and got me take out from Swiss Chalet (a Restaurant we have here in Canada).  It's like a 20 minute drive because we live in a rural area outside of town.  I'm so thankful for this thread because most of the time I am complaining about the things that he does that annoy me.  However this thread made me stop and think about all of the things that he does for me-  and there are many good things!

He's awesome because he took the boy...all of them...out of the house this evening to give me some quiet time.  Bless that man.

Dh had a dentist appointment this afternoon and I called to ask him to pick up my migraine rx on his way home because I'm battling a migraine. He got home, handed me the bag and told me he actually had cancelled his appointment this morning before I had called him. So he left work 3 hours early anyways to get my medicine and come home so I could nap while he handled the toddler and then the other two when they got home from school

He's also really stepped up his game on helping around the house. Normally I do all the laundry and most of the dishes, but he has taken over without making it seem like a burden after working 10 hour days. We used to always argue about this stuff but he knows I've been feeling awful this pregnancy between migraines, MS, exhaustion, digestive issues and dealing with a non-napping threenager all day while also trying to get my work done. He's a keeper

I'd like to commend my DH for not killing me when I've unleashed fury from the seventh circle of Hell when I am bratty and hormonal. He's the sweetest. Or he's scared to death and afraid to come back at me with anything. Either or.

My DH pretty much always treats me like a queen (seriously... I hooked a good one). What I'm most thankful for right now is his work ethic. Seriously. This man is amazing at his job. He loves what he does and he works so hard to succeed and to impress. He recently did something that they are working on getting a patent on. He's just incredibly smart and it's so sexy.

Also, he has been taking such good care of me. I have Friday's off work and last Friday when he was leaving for work I told him I didn't know what I was going to do all day (I had a list of things I wanted to do- just didn't know what I wanted to start with) and he was like, "Just take it easy- chill on the couch- grow a baby". Lol. I told him I was already planning on the growing a baby part!

I could go on for hours about him though. I love so much about him.

We have had a rough week at our house. DH and I both felt cruddy Saturday  (turns out it was strep throat!) And DD caught a stomach virus this weekend that she so kindly shared with us Wednesday. It's been vomiting and diarrhea for 6 days. With both of us feeling like death, he hasn't complained at all about me needing to go upstairs and nap or falling asleep in the chair at night. He has taken care of DD the majority of this week and hasn't complained at all.

My  DH has been treating me so well I'm beginning to feel like I'm going to be spoiled. He's always been amazing but has been even more so since I got pregnant. He's been making me breakfast almost every day despite taking classes, working 10 hour shifts, and often being also deprived.  He also worked overtime to afford to get me an amazing gift. The next day got me my favorite French fries that I keep craving without me asking.

Since finding out we are pregnant, my SO has taken over all cleaning duties of the house, he grocery shops, makes or picks up dinner, has done all the laundry and helps take care of our daughter. And this is all after he has worked all day. He told me my only job right now is keeping those babies (we are having twins) healthy and happy. I couldn't have asked for a better husband and father. Truly blessed.

DH has been amazing, I've been extremely short tempered and haven't had hardly any patience for anything and he is being so patient and understanding. He's taken over handling our lab puppy because she makes me want to jump off the house (again no patience), he's started rubbing my bump because it is now very visible even though we haven't actually announced no it yet. He's going to be an amazing daddy!

Recently he cleaned our garage that had gotten out of hand so I can park in there again. And when I hemorrhaged and bled and totally ruined my only maternity pants he went as soon as possible to buy me more while I was on bed rest all on his own accord. I didn't even think about how I had no pants! 

In general he helps a ton. I can count on one hand the number of times I've done the dishes since we've been married. He does laundry and makes dinner almost every night. Oh and he does the grocery shopping for us. I will say it's easier for him to do a lot of this because of his hours versus mine but I know he does more than my friends' spouses so I try to remember that at I hit the jackpot when he's pissing me off!
