Symptoms? Everything and it's getting to me. I've had a mix of cramps, aches, and contractions for days. But baby is way too comfortable and I'm getting discouraged. My other two were early and on time so going late (as I don't think he's coming today) is new. I just so uncomfortable! Barely sleeping, barely able to sit down, stand up...I'm over being pregnant!
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? We are ready when he is...which was last week. Come on, kid!
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm done being pregnant, I'm done with all the comments from people about how they couldn't believe I'm still pregnant, and I'm done parenting my two kids who have really ramped up their poor behavior this past week. It's been so exhausting!!
GTKY: Favorite Easter candy? Reeses peanut butter eggs! I love these things
@pinkshades05 Welcome to your due date! Hopefully baby boy decides to make an appearance soon!
Also, @pinkshades05 and @Taylor72 DH and I love Reese's in general. I found a recipe to make the Reese's eggs (shaped for Easter) and DH made them. Delicious!!!
Appointments this week? routine appointment this week with a cervical check and getting my GBS results back, yay for weekly appointments!
Symptoms? i feel pretty good for the third trimester, just want to sit on the couch all day but my toddler has other plans
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? nothing, we're ready to go, I'm trying to walk when I can to help move things along
Rants/Raves/Questions: DH really wants to get an induction scheduled around 40w just so we have family in town (everyone is a couple state away) we can rely on to take care of DS 1 so DH can support me at the hospital. Also given the size of this baby (already 6 lbs at 36 weeks) my OB is recommending not going beyond my due date to ensure a vaginal delivery. Last time I was 10 days overdue. I'm still hoping I'll go into labor on my own but working on making peace with a possible second induction since it'd work best for our family situation.
GTKY: Favorite Easter candy? I'm ok with anything except for peeps. Those are absolutely disgusting and get stale so quickly. My favorite kind is the discounted stuff if I wait after the holiday.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Final bit of washing and tidying of clothes and such. Finally finished packing my bag. Still need to put the car seat in.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Man, I had it easy with my first pregnancy. I'm beyond miserable this time. I just want to sleep and sit and walk and exist without being in pain.
GTKY: Favorite Easter candy? Jelly beans. The cheap ones.
How big is baby? A giant (I don't even know anymore).
Team Blue, Pink, Green? Pink - baby Natalie will (barring any acts of God) here in 14 days (my scheduled day)!
Appointments this week? Wednesday for my weekly NST
Symptoms? Baby dropping means I've actually felt better and lighter
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? So much nursery prep and laundry and wrapping things up at work. I've been very bad at The Bump because work has been insane while I start handing over things to my colleagues (I work in HR so some things, ie recruiting, are an ever moving target and I just have to start letting some things go). At home, DD clearly can tell something is up and wants our attention constantly so I feel like I have been going non-stop every day.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Just very ready to meet our sweet girl.
GTKY: Favorite Easter candy? This has been MURDER for me with GD - I LOVE Easter candy. I don't even know why, I'm not that into candy or desserts (I know, I know, sooooo annoying). But Peeps, Cadbury eggs, chocolate bunnies... oh my gosh, I can't contain myself! DH is under very strict instructions to bring a boatload to the hospital for me to gorge on post-surgery.
@kcasset has the baby dropped a lot? I want to drop so bad, because my ribs are so sore, but I keep reading that this milestone rarely happens for STM's.
How big is baby? According to the Bump, as big as a Winter Melon
Team Blue, Pink, Green? Blue
Appointments this week? Wednesday
Symptoms? A few braxton hicks here and there, sore and achy everywhere! I was about 1.5 cm and 50% at my 36 week appointment, so hopefully, I've progressed a bit since then.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Nothing left to do, we are ready!
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm so over being pregnant at this point! My doctor is expecting him to come early (like my first). I'm hoping we'll get a better idea at my appointment on Wednesday. Everyone at my work is surprised to see me every morning, and then comment 'You're still here?'
@rachelmiller03 and @KirstinH88 - I didn't drop at all with DD until maybe two days before birth. I would say I've dropped a good 3 in (the length of my hand) but I'm still carrying high. That being said, I swear to you, everything that happened last pregnancy isn't happening this time and vice versa. For example, I don't have insomnia this time - I'm sleeping as hard as a rock. I also don't have group B strep this time. I do have GD and a TON of swelling and joint pain. Pregnancy is so odd!!!
