My LO had a slight fever after her third round of shots, but I think it's because she got the flu shot (only new shot she had). As for MMR, I see no point in extending the length of time my daughter is susceptible to diseases she could be immunized against, so I plan to go with the recommended schedule for vaccines.

All three of mine got fever and super fussy with every vaccine start to finish. Some of us react differently. Two had obvious extreme tenderness for DAYS after while my boy only seemed to get the temp. All you can do is continue to be their comfort
