I wish this was an UO but considering how many people post them I guess it might be- I hate hate hate when people get out their phones and take pictures/videos of their kids having meltdowns/temper tantrums. I just think how it would make me feel to be having a moment and someone saying Oh hold on, let me film this and maybe laugh at you. It feel like this is the opposite of teaching empathy. (This brought to you by a IG story I just saw where someone posted at least 5 separate videos of their kid losing it).
Ditto. And the bolded is also why I dislike naked pictures of children and why I will never take any of my children.
My UO which I can't remember if we talked about before. I don't like how the new baby friendly hospitals means they get rid of the nursery. I'm all for promoting rooming in and giving you the option to keep the baby but I totally used the nursery between nursing sessions at night when I was at the hospital . Also to shower when I was alone at the hospital. I had a c section with my first and couldn't get up out of bed to get DD every time she needed me so it was better to have the nurse bring her to me to nurse. Also this time I'm coming home to 2 toddlers and I wouldn't mind 3 hours of solid sleep lol. I will hold, cuddle and nurse all day and night but I won't feel bad about using a nursery . And my new hospital doesn't have one. I'm a little nervous!
We're a baby friendly hospital but at our last evaluation or whatever they do for that we fell short in this category because we do still have a nursery and most of us night shift nurses have no problem encouraging our moms to use it.
There are instances, though, where we try to get moms to keep baby in the room. Usually with a new mom who doesn't seem to be picking up on feeding cues. But if a mom has been dealing with cluster feeding for 5 hours and looks like she's hanging on by a thread (amongst other scenarios) I'm always like "Why don't you send baby to nursery for a few hours and get some rest while you can". Sorrynotsorry baby friendly initiative.
@huskermom14 and I'm sure your moms appreciate it. I don't see how it's baby friendly to have a mom who is deliriously tired taking care of baby. My hospital will state that they don't have a well baby nursery, but they still have the physical space (or at least, they did when I had my 2 year old). I needed rest because he was born in the middle of the night and I got 1 hour of sleep over 36 hours. I barely remember this, but the evening after he was born, I fed him and he was still fussing, and I was leaning over the bassinet and literally could not figure out how to calm him down or pick him up. Thankfully a nurse came in and took him. I slept for 3 hours and was human again and went to get him.
@lovesclimbing. Last night, I took a picture of DS' naked tush and sent it to my sister saying that her nephew was mooning her. She sent me her naked tush right back. I have always thought there might be something wrong with my family, though.

I will take a pic of my kid and their naked tush every blue moon but it's usually in the context of what else is happening, not just to take a pic of them naked. They are 4 and 6 now so it's been a very long time since I have done it but I don't see what is wrong with a parent doing it. Sometimes naked tush pics have been shared between my SILs and my MIL and I don't see anything wrong with that either. All of them have seen my kids in some state of undress or wiped their butts. I don't really care for any naked kid in social media, though. Only because the statistics about creeps make me stress that one of them is getting a sick kick out of the pic.
I haven't taken too many meltdown videos, however, when my son was smaller and cried more often, I just adored his crying face (such a weird mom thing) and it would make my heart swell sometimes from the sweetness of his earnest crying face so I definitely took a few videos so I could look back on it for years to come. Probably kind of weird but I could not care less.

This is my family. Apparently we think nudity is hilarious, because we send mooning pics, naked pics all the time. My sister is the main culprit... and I join in because it freaks my Dad out... and we like to get him riled up.
@JAGinMI I think crying faces can be adorable too! Like when they get the full out bottom lip.
I've definitely taken pics and videos of my kids crying over crazy things. I also used one video to show my 3 year old how crazy she looked. She said something along the line of how not nice throwing fits were. She's a very visual learner and I think seeing herself in action helped her.
Mom to Madison- 5 and Lillian 2....and now surprise baby #3!
My unpopular opinion is Lularoe is hedious. I'm in a few groups of friends or local consultants and keep seeing everyone asking about this dress. Seriously someone explain this to me.
I don't get it either. All the LLR stuff I've seen in person is pretty cheap looking. The prints are kinda fuzzy/blurry. I have tons of friends that swear by it, and I like some of the silhouettes. It just doesn't seem like you're getting much for the money.
And that dress. I feel like it could be part of a great zombie costume, but it's a weird print for sure.

I'm going to go with someone tried to do a placenta painting and this is what they created.
I love LLR... However, I am not into the crazy patterns. I wear a solid piece with a pattern piece. All of my HDBD stuff is in LLR! That is about the only thing I wear these days.
