Pgs testing results

Hi I'm I am curious to learn if you chose to do pgs testing what your results were I'm currently awaiting my second round of IVF pgs result. They retrieve 29 eggs 22 of those eggs were mature out of the 22 -19 fertilized and 9 made it to day 5 and were able to be Frozen and biopsied. I'm now awaiting results curious finding out your numbers how many were normal that were tested and what the gender was if you found out?

We had 2 of our 10 make it to day 5 and both came back normal, they're both the same gender but we aren't finding out until after we transfer this month!

We probably wouldn't have opted to PGS test except we were doing a freeze all cycle anyway (high risk for OHSS thanks to PCOS), age wise the dr said it wasn't necessary (I'm 33 and DH is 34) but I kind of figured that as long as a fresh transfer wasn't an option anyway and we can try to cut down on miscarriage chances lets give it a go.

I did PGS testing. Started with 14 eggs, 7 fertilized and only 1 made it to blast and ended up being abnormal. It had an extra chromosome from the sperm and another from the egg. Even though I ended up with no good embryos I recommend it because I think it's good to know now and not later with a miscarriage. Also now we know some things we should work on to increase our chances for the second round. You have a good number so you have a good chance of some normals in that group.

We had 6 out of 10 retrieved make it to day 5/6. Out of those 6, three were normal. All three were boys. ***tw*** we transferred one, and I'm 14 weeks along.  I am 32 with dor and poor egg quality; DH has MFI.

Our day 5 isn't until Sunday but we are hoping for at least 5 to be able to test and hope to get back 3 normals based on my age of 33. We have 13 fertilized growing right now. Our lab report will tell use the sex and we want to know. We wouldn't care otherwise but if we have the chance to know why not? Out of any normals, we will take the doctors advice on what to use first. DH and I have talked about it and honestly I don't care either way. I have some immune issues related to my losses I think so I'm betting the doctor would recommend putting a girl embie back in first.

We had 9 eggs, 7 fertilized, 3 made it to freeze. Out of those 3, 2 were PGS normal, which aligns with statistics for my age (33). We opted to not know the gender.
Meeting with RE tomorrow to talk about FET timing and get more info overall on our 2 frozen embryos (they are boot "fair" quality)

@fuzzydust both ours were "fair" quality too, when we were first talking to the dr before we started IVF he said that he goes more on the PGS normal rating than the quality rating at day 5 bc a normal embryo has a much higher chance of success than an untested embryo-- or something like that, I'm holding onto the fact that we know they are normal lol.

I had 30 eggs, 21 mature, 20 fertilized, 8 made it to blast (6 of them on day 5 and 2 on day 6)

Tested all 8: 4 boys, 4 girls

4 came out normal. Those 4 included 2/6 of the day 5 blast and 2/2 day 6 blast. As for gender, 2 girls, 2 boys.

transfered one embryo, but the embryo stopped growing at 6w 1d.  And I had an MUA at 9w 3d. 
Sent the embryo's tissue for testing and it came back normal. So PGS was correct but I still had a m/c.

@Prudence9 did they say why it still miscarried? Even with PGS normal?

@Ash_SE once my hcg levels are back to normal they will run some blood tests and try to find the root cause for that. Whether it's thyroid, immune or hormonal issues... I hope they find why I had a miscarriage so I don't have another successful transfer end his way...

Just sent 5 for PGS. One great, three good, and one fair quality. Four were Day 5 and one was Day 6. FX for 2/3 normal. We are both 35.

JuliaGoolia719 - we met with RE yesterday, and she said that once you get PGS-good results, it doesn't matter if it's "fair" or "good" - chances are almost the same. She mentioned that it mostly affects the possible thaw problems, but usually only for the "poor" grade.

Out nurse accidentally showed me the gender chart for our embryos... Oh well.. They're all boys - both good ones, and even the one that was PGS-abnormal, but also a boy.

@FuzzyDust we wanted to know however I didn't want to know the abnormal one which they accidentally showed me after our first round. Did you guys use icis?

@Prudence9 - yeah, the RE was pretty upset about the nurse making that mistake. And I was a little shaken too, as I didn't expect to have that information right into my face (she was browsing through my profile on the computer while I was watching, and accidentally opened that info).

@ryaa132 - if anything, I didn't mind knowing what gender the abnormal one was. We ended up asking to give us a copy of the full report because we were curios what the abnormality was - it was multiple things, so no specifics. And yes, we did 100% ICSI.

@FuzzyDust I also got the full report after PGS. And it was pretty scary to see the issues that the abnormal embryos were having.

We sent 8 to be PGS tested and 7 came back normal. *TW* I'm now 31 weeks pregnant from our first FET.

@wifeinraleigh28 wow! 7/8 is AMAZING!!! I sent 8 for PGS and was hoping at least 3 will come back normal. And was so happy when 4 came normal. I just turned 41 a week before I started that IVF cycle.

@Prudence9 Yes, we were very lucky. My RE didn't expect us to have that many normal embryos even though I'm under 35. 4 out of 8 normal is fantastic too though, congrats!
