This check-in is for those whose weeks change over today! Meaning your EDD is on October 2, 9, 16, 23 or 30.
*If your week does not change over today, please do not post. There will be check-ins every day so everyone has a weekly check-in*
1) How many weeks are you?
2) How are you feeling?
3) Any appointments or tests this week?
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living?
Re: Monday Ticker Change (03/27)
2) How are you feeling? Starting to feel better. I'm not throwing up daily anymore. Still quite nauseous but not as bad.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? No. But I did bloodwork last week and my OB said my thyroid levels are low. So she's putting me on a supplement. Anyone else have this?
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I just weighed myself and I want to cry. I'm up 13lbs!!!!!! How is that even possible when I've been throwing up 4x a day. I really need to start working out again now that I'm feeling a bit better.
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm a SAHM with DS (2 in May). But I work casually at a community hospital as a Social Worker. I love both my "jobs". And I love the work/life balance I get to have.
2) How are you feeling? Pretty good. Nausea has been getting a lot better over the last week, so I'm hoping it's on its way out!
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Yup, a regular check-in on Wednesday. There won't be an ultrasound, but hopefully we will be able to hear LO's heartbeat on the Doppler!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Yay for 2nd tri! However, one of my apps says 2nd tri doesn't start until week 14. I remember being confused by this last pregnancy, too. But it is 13 weeks, right?
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm an attorney and part-time photographer (weddings/engagements, families, maternity, and newborns). Hopefully FT photographer some day!
1) How many weeks are you? 11 weeks!
2) How are you feeling? Nausea/vomiting is still pretty awful. Doctor gave me samples of diclegis which did WONDERS, but the prescription is $286/month!!!
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Nope! Had my first u/s 2 weeks ago and everything looks great!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I work PT from home as a government contractor. It's a great job and I'm very thankful I can support my family and also be home with my 2yo most of the time!
2) How are you feeling? I've been feeling pretty good the last couple days which of course makes me nervous. Still really tired but the nausea has been so much better (I should probably go knock on some wood now).
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Yes! I have my first appt with my OB tomorrow. I graduated from the RE 2 weeks ago and am looking forward to being back with my OB!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm not looking forward to allergy season. My allergies get so bad that I'm usually on multiple prescriptions and steroids during the season and can't take most of them while pregnant. DD was an October baby also and I remember being miserable during that time when I was pregnant with her.
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I work 2 days a week (sometimes 3) as an executive assistant for a construction company. The rest of the week I'm a SAHM. I used to work there full time but missed the time with my DD. So they let me train someone new to take over the daily tasks that I did and now I just do the bigger tasks like proposals and presentations to new clients. After this baby comes along I will be a SAHM full time.
@unexpected_blessing, I think with DS I started showing around 15/16 weeks. This time I feel like I started showing at 11 weeks. And had people question me already based on that.
2) How are you feeling? i havent felt great the past few days. really tired. and oh so moody.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? nothing this week
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
i am really starting to hate talking about this pregnancy with people. everyone's so obsessed with the sex of this baby. and everyone loves to comment on how we have all girls. like it is a negative thing. even if the content of what they are saying is fine, the way they say it puts me on the defense. and i really don't know how to respond without flipping out on them. i have always said i wanted 3, why does it have to be assumed we are having 3 for a boy?
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? Sales - selling furniture to hotels. And PT I sell photography.
May Siggy Challenge: Parenting Fails
2) How are you feeling? The fatigue and nausea seem to be getting worse but I guess that's to be expected. I also have no motivation to do anything and have to really push myself to do even dumb things, like unload the dishwasher.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? no
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Just feeling frustrated by lack of energy but that I still need to get things done. No rest of the weary. On the other hand, my husband has been so helpful, as much as he is able.
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm a SAHM and a homeschooling mom to seven (four of whom homeschool).
2) How are you feeling? Still some nausea .. this past weekend wasn't that great either... just didn't 'feel' good by any means
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Yes today! I'm a bit anxious since this is our 2nd appointment and so nervous to know if little one is doing okay.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? So this may be a naïve question but I have to ask. If everything is A-Okay this afternoon at our appointment, my next appointment won't be for another 4 or so weeks, which would obviously put me just at about the time to find out the baby's sex via ultrasound. Did any STM+ feel comforted knowing LO was doing well at their 11/12 week appt and not so much afraid of a miscarriage at that point?
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I currently work in the Marketing Dept for a local credit union. I've been in the banking industry though for about 6.5 years and took this new job because the front line was becoming extremely stressful and effecting my health.
2) How are you feeling? still so tired and bloated
3) Any appointments or tests this week? regular appointment on Thursday. Can't wait to hopefully hear that heartbeat!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? we are finishing our basement which I am so excited about, but one of the men working today smells soooo bad
5) What do you do for a living? I'm a sahm to 3 little girls ages 8, 6, 11 months.
@mommac2018 I was put on meds for a low thyroid the beginning of this pregnancy. I haven't noticed a difference but my numbers are back where they are supposed to be. I blame it on my 11 month old not sleeping through the night☺
@carries2018 I am also getting the "we hope it's a boy this time" from everyone. Honestly I'd like a boy too but I'm just hoping for a healthy baby and pregnancy. That's all I need.
2) How are you feeling? Pretty good. Except for constipation issues.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Nope. Not until 16 weeks.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Second Tri!! I can't beleieve I made it this far, the news still hasn't sunk it but it's getting a lot more real each day. Also baby bump starting to look more defined. So exciting!
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I work as a customer care rep and in night shifts. It's stressful but it's the best paying job available to me for now. But will probably change jobs when LO is born.

@mommac2017 I can definitely see the crazy coming on
thank you so much for your insight!!
12 weeks!
2) How are you feeling?
okay more or less. Fatigue and very mild quesiness. My boobs just started to feel a little tender.
3) Any appointments or tests this week?
Will get my first trimester screening labs this week and then NT ultrasound next week. I should get my home doppler tomorrow - I thought I'd never get one, but I just pulled the trigger and I don't really know why, I'm sick of waiting and worrying between appointments
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
We had to put down our 10.5 year old cat somewhat unexpectedly on Saturday morning. I'm still bumming about that. It was very humane but so incredibly emotionally hard.
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living?
I'm a clinical pharmacist, I work with oncology patients and providers
BFP in September 2014, DS born June 2015.

2) How are you feeling?Still nauseous and vomiting, but not as often. More like 3-4 days a week instead of every day. I'll count this as a win. I still get tired a lot, but I think it has more to do with having to get up with my three-year-old in the morning while pregnant than just the pregnancy itself. Feeling grateful to finally be heading out of first trimester. This pregnancy seems to have felt like it was dragging on at times (probably because I found out a lot sooner with this one than with our first).
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Not this week.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?Still can't eat meat. I've finally just gotten to the point where I either cook vegetarian meals, or just eat something other than what my DH and DD are eating. I'm hoping this passes soon.
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I work for a non-profit foundation that is attached to a state college. (Fundraising)

2) How are you feeling?
Excited, nauseated, exhausted. And bloated.
3) Any appointments or tests this week?
We got genetic screening results today and found out we're having a boy! NT scan is
Friday. Also interviewed a potential doula
today!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Whyyyyy does this trimester last so long?
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living?
I'm a school social worker in a middle school
@lin1019, totally!!! I'm 5'2" and by the time I was 8 months pregnant with DS, I was alllllll baby! I felt like I was rolling everywhere I went! My SIL is 6' and due in 6 weeks and she barely looks like she has a bump!
How did you STM+ mommas felt the first time you started showing? Or noticed that little bump? How long did it sink in that you're actually carrying a little person inside you? This is all so very new to me. But I'm very happy.
I started showing pretty early the first time around! Now at 11w the second time there's literally no hiding it, haha. But honestly @lin1019 it still hasn't sunk in that I carried a person inside me the first time around, let alone this time!
1) How many weeks are you? 14 weeks !
2) How are you feeling? i'm feeling great other than gassy ! headaches subsided so that's great !
3) Any appointments or tests this week? not for another 3 weeks
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? when is this increased sex drive 2nd tri thing is supposed to kick in ?? I've lost all apetite lol
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? im a stay at home mom 2 B. Hubby works for the both of us, i'm a student.
2) How are you feeling? still nauseous ALL. THE. TIME.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Nope, not for another week and a half
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? aversions to all things meat. WHY!? And why must SO put garlic in EVERYTHING!
Aside from feeling like I have a zoo (4 kids plus one on the way) I have come to a happy place and feel completely blessed to have my big, loud, crazy, blended family.
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I am currently a SAHM looking to get back into something I can do from home. I'm very crafty, love to crochet so maybe that's what I'll do.
2) How are you feeling? Starting to feel better with most symptoms easing up except for getting up to pee at night...much to my husband's dismay.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Yes, appt with my family doc and nuchal translucency ultrasound both on Thursday.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? In spite of putting on a little too much weight for this early on, I put on my jeans today and they fit better now at 12 weeks than they did at this point with either of my previous babies. So I take solace in that! (though it helps that I dropped some weight before getting pregnant this time).
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? I am a grad student and also work part-time doing some contract work on the side. A couple of days of the week I've got the kids home with me. So I guess part-time SAHM too if that is a thing?
I thibk once I started feeling baby move was when it really hit me that I was carrying a BABY. Like a real human!! Definitely my favourite part of pregnancy!
I remember telling myself it was just gas when I felt the first flutters too. It became real to me that I was actually carrying a baby once I could really feel the movements! I'm so excited to start feeling baby move this time!
2) How are you feeling? Great! Energy is finally coming back. Still get the dry heaves when changing pull ups/wiping lo's butt and some other random things that make me a little sick sometimes but it seems to be lessening again. Oh and these hormone induced allergies are freaking awful!!
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Not this week. But finally have my NT scan next wednesday!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Also happy to make it to the second trimester! We announced our pregnancy to our entire family last week. Feels good to not have to keep it a secret anymore!
5) GTKY: What do you do for a living? Currently I'm a stay at home mom - homeschooling our preschooler. I worked previously as a math and science tutor/supervisor at my local community college. I'll likely be returning to school when #2 is around a year to finish my Bachelor's in pursuit of a career in Veterinary Medicine...and possibly take up my friend on a standing offer for a position as a lab tech at her chemical analysis lab.
