Who's Still Pregnant?!

I know there are at least a few of us still rolling with our inside babies! Me included. I'm so over the moon for all the new mamas here and the adorable LO's, it's making me SOOO excited to meet my little guy! If anyone wants to commiserate about STILL being pregnant, or share any anxieties or excitement - let's do it!

1. When was/is your due date? Do you have a date on schedule for induction or c-section?  Due today! Nothing scheduled, but they'll ask me to schedule an induction for 41+4/5 if I make it to my appt this week.

2. How are you feeling physically - any symptoms that things are getting close? Mucous plug is gone. Feeling more contractions today than I've been having, but nothing regular yet.

3. How are you feeling emotionally? Any labor anxieties bubbling up, or are you ready for action? I feel as prepared as I could possibly be and am ready. I really don't have any fear or anxiety, just jitters. I have been more emotional. I cry at anything baby related lately.

4. Anything you are doing to help speed the process along or make labor easier (RRL tea, walking, etc.)? Walking, bouncing on yoga ball, dates, RRL, sex, some pumping for some nipple stimulation. Midwife did a tiny sweep on Friday (her words, she couldn't do a full sweep).

5. Boy? Girl? Team Green? Team green and so excited to find out!

6. Any more OB/midwife appointments scheduled? One on Friday at 40+5. They'll also do an ultrasound and a NST. I'll have to schedule an induction before I leave. Hoping to not make it to that appt; I can't imagine another full week of work.

@RunBooRun Happy due date!! Fingers crossed you don't make it to your Friday appt! 

1. When was/is your due date? Do you have a date on schedule for induction or c-section? I am due Tuesday 3/28, hoping my little guy decides to make an entrance on his own before that, otherwise I'm on schedule to get induced Wednesday 3/29, I go in at 7pm. 

2. How are you feeling physically - any symptoms that things are getting close? Every night I get some period-like cramps that come regularly then stop after 20 mins or so. I feel increasing pressure on and off, and general tightness in my belly if I move around a lot combined with crazy lightning crotch!! No sign of plug. 

3. How are you feeling emotionally? Any labor anxieties bubbling up, or are you ready for action? I'm ready. A lot of my fears have gone away as a FTM and are replaced with excitement to meet him. I do have one lingering worry, which is that my LO has been measuring big all along, and I'm worried I will have a difficult delivery or end up with a c-section, but I'm trying to just focus and meditate on things going smoothly and I know the growth scan could have been incorrect! 

4. Anything you are doing to help speed the process along or make labor easier (RRL tea, walking, etc.)?
I've been doing 2 cups RRL tea a day, dates, going for long walks each day, doing squats and stretching and sitting on my exercise ball. And meditating.

Im a really bad person when it comes to checking in and commenting but I'm starting to go a little stir crazy waiting for this babe to show up. Hope you don't mind if I join in. 
Due on Wednesday. My daughter was born at 37+6 and it has clearly messed with my head. I'm finding it hard to believe I'm almost at my due date.... 
i knew this was a possibility, obviously and I'm so thankful for a healthy pregnancy but really antsy to "get this show on the road" 

2. How are you feeling physically - any symptoms that things are getting close?
3cm dilated, lost mucus plug, lots of Braxton hicks and even stronger ones on occasion
Overall though, I'm just tired, sore and ready to meet this baby! 

3. How are you feeling emotionally? Any labor anxieties bubbling up, or are you ready for action? 
Dying to meet this baby. Team green and in so much suspense to know who this baby is! 

4. Anything you are doing to help speed the process along or make labor easier (RRL tea, walking, etc.)?
Pumping, clary sage and myrrh essential oils, sex, exercise....nothing seems to do much.... any contractions that start up, subside soon after whatever I'm doing. lol
Tried spicy food the other day and just spent a miserable time on the toilet for a while for nothing.

2. How are you feeling physically - any symptoms that things are getting close? Feeling good, all things considered. I've had a bit more lower back pain the past week or so -- baby is getting heavy! Also lots of contractions.

3. How are you feeling emotionally? Any labor anxieties bubbling up, or are you ready for action? I have had a tremendous amount of anxiety this month, but I actually feel as though it is easing up a little bit at this point, as I find myself feeling more and more ready to push through labor and meet this little guy.

4. Anything you are doing to help speed the process along or make labor easier (RRL tea, walking, etc.)? I drink some RRL and go for a walk here and there when I feel like it, but that's it. I have always, in the past, driven myself crazy trying to "make" labor happen... I guess I have finally realized that, for me, it doesn't seem to do much except drain my mental energy.

6. Any more OB/midwife appointments scheduled? I have a BPP and midwife appt schedule for Wednesday (which will be 40+4).

1. When was/is your due date? Do you have a date on schedule for induction or c-section? This coming Tuesday 3/28, but I really thought all along he'd be here by now and didn't expect to be this close to my EDD!

2. How are you feeling physically - any symptoms that things are getting close? Overall pretty good - I've been surprised that I've felt better the last 2 weeks than I have the last few months...not sure if it's because he's dropped significantly or because I've been doing more to prepare myself physically for labor or if I'm just getting used to being this pregnant.... My stomach gets so tight & hard at times but stays that way for long periods of time so idk if it's BH? I've had so much gas & gurgling sounds in my tummy the last few hours - it's probably nothing but I'm hoping it could be a sign labor might happen in the next day or two.

3. How are you feeling emotionally? Any labor anxieties bubbling up, or are you ready for action? So ready! I want to be done working & able to start my maternity leave haha. I had it in my head all along he was going to make an early appearance because I was told by my doctors that my short cervix would likely mean an early/pre-term baby and the fact that he was measuring 2-3 weeks ahead I expected him to come early. Oh well. I do have anxiety about going into April since I really want him to arrive in March!

4. Anything you are doing to help speed the process along or make labor easier (RRL tea, walking, etc.)? RRL tea (~3 cups a day), walking, bouncing/rolling around on an exercise ball, & yoga every day. I tried spicy foods last weekend & this past Friday and both times it just made my acid reflux worse. DH & I had sex this afternoon. I also tried jumping jacks yesterday at the recommendation of one of my friends who said it worked for her but don't think I'll attempt it again.

6. Any more OB/midwife appointments scheduled? Next appointment is Wed. the 29th if I'm still pregnant by then.

Tired and big; it's hard to do almost everything and she has her head right on my pelvis so it hurts to walk. Been having contractions since yesterday but they are about 20 minutes apart. Haven't gotten any closer they last almost 1 minute though.
3. How are you feeling emotionally? Any labor anxieties bubbling up, or are you ready for action? 
I think I'm getting anxious. Everything is starting to get on my nerves.

Went grocery shopping today. Wanted to try sex but hubby got sick yesterday and today I just didn't feel like it. Bought some dates to see if that helps-but I like dates though so even if it doesn't I'll be fine.

SO impatient here too, @RunBooRun ! I had so wanted my body to go into labor before my induction! I go in at 7p tomorrow night so almost down to the last 36hrs here before getting this show on the road but knowing it still could be DAYS after I get into the hospital is torture! Last night I had one really strong contraction followed by tightness in my upper belly that seemed to move down and also some lower back pain. It came on suddenly then stopped! Going to go for a long walk today to see how that goes.. 40 weeks today though!

Having my first at 38 weeks messed with my head.... I truly never thought I would be this pregnant. (Stupid I know....)
all the false labour is making is more difficult though. It's not like I can ignore it until it becomes the real thing.... 
Hope your body senses that it's time and gets the show on the road today on its own @jenny0228! 
I hope we ALL get to meet our babies this week!

So, so impatient over here too. My husband asked me this morning about my day's agenda and I just looked at him. Then I thought about it and said, "Go to the grocery store. Try not to kill anyone." It is looking like I will probably make it to my appt tomorrow and at this point I am seriously leaning toward asking for a membrane sweep which will hopefully get this show on the road. (It has worked for me three times before, and has never NOT worked, so fingers crossed.) My husband says Friday works better for him and I said "HAHAHAHAHAHA good one." Lol.

Impatient here too! My pregnant status is all everyone talks to me about. Oh, and DH decided to wake me up in the middle of the night with "Is he coming out yet?". Lucky for him, I refrained from smacking him for waking me up with such a stupid question and just said "No. Ssshhhh." and went back to sleep. Like, dude, you are the ONE person I will be sure to tell when I go into labor or my water breaks or whatever. If I don't say anything, it means nothing is happening.

And so over work. Really contemplating this being my last week and just starting maternity leave next week regardless of whether baby boy is here or not. I'll make that decision after my appointment tomorrow and see what the doc says.

We went out for dinner last night and I had to get up to pee 2x during the time we were sitting there. It felt like every single woman in the restaurant was smiling at me, that sort of sympathy mixed with "I've been there" mixed with "aren't you cute/fat" smile. People mean well but I'm so over people smiling at me that way and staring and wondering when I'm due and it must be a boy, you're carrying him all out in front, and wow you dropped, and you look like you're ready any minute, and on and on. I would like to go back to just blending into regular society thank you very much! 

@thisisallyson highly recommend starting your leave as soon as you can. I took a week prior to my due date and it was the best decision. I've had an opportunity to decompress before baby comes and put work in the rearview for a while.

@jenny0228 those comments & looks seriously drive me crazy! I took today off work to get away from them and am SO glad I did! Debating now whether or not I should go in to work again or just continue to use PTO - leaning toward PTO just to keep my sanity. I was able to get so much done around the house and also for myself today and am now perched on my exercise ball about to do homework in an attempt to work ahead for school since I know once LO does come homework is probably the last thing I'll want to be doing. I have a dr appt tomorrow afternoon and am hoping to get a membrane sweep as well @Faith1318 - hopefully it'll work for both of us!

+1 for being over work. But, my boss is letting me work remote, so I'm on my couch in my PJs. Not too bad. All I have to do is call in to a few meetings and do some busy work. It means more time with lo before I have to go back, so I'll take it.

One of my cats is driving me crazy. She's going back & forth between clingy and naughty. If shes not poking me for attention, she's trying to take out the plants in the living room. I'm sure that she can tell something major is about to happen. It's just going to get worse when lo is actually here.

So I just got home from my dr appt and am pretty upset right now. I'm still at 2 cm (have been since 38 weeks) and no signs of labor starting anytime soon so my dr scheduled me for an induction next Tuesday morning when I hit 41 weeks. I really wanted LO to arrive on his own time & am so scared of pitocin & whatever other drugs they intend to use, it's not something I imagined having to think about or plan for. I know there's still a good chance he'll arrive on his own before then and am praying he will, but I'm just disappointed. As much as I want to meet him & want to have him here asap I thought for sure they'd let me go till 42 weeks before doing an induction. I told my sister, mom, and boss about it but asked them not to tell anyone else since DH & I don't want people showing up at the hospital waiting around or anything, should he not arrive before Tuesday. I'm also upset because I didn't get to have a membrane sweep. I asked my dr after she did the internal check and she said she tried to do one but I jumped back in pain....how was I supposed to know that she was trying to do it though since I thought she was just doing a routine cervix check & thought they're supposed to get your consent before actually doing it!? So she didn't want to try it again since she said I "didn't seem to like it" ughh my hormones are going crazy right now lol

@serenity13 I'm so sorry your appt left you so upset! I am right there with you - I totally understand how disappointing it is to be scheduled! I really thought my body would do it's thing before today but, here I am. A lot can change in a week though --- don't give up hope! Tuesday is still a ways off, so much can happen between now and then, especially because you'll be a week past your due date. And as so many have said to me - by then even if you do end up having to show up at a scheduled time, maybe just a teeny bit of drugs or other methods is all that is needed to jump start natural labor. Do you think you might be willing to try acupuncture between now and then? I wish I had gotten in for an appt last week. I hope your little guy decides it's time to spring into action well before Tuesday!!!! Also good idea not to tell anyone about the induction ahead of time. I sort of wish I hadn't. Close family and friends have been fine, but some others are now bombarding me today with texts for updates and I haven't even gotten to the hospital yet!  Good luck to you!!

@jenny0228 and @dreamsjc1 Good luck! And @serenity13 I'm so sorry that your appointment left you so upset. I can't believe she tried to do a membrane sweep without telling you (and then gave up based on a reflexive reaction to pain you hadn't been told to expect).

As for me, still pregnant, 40+4! I thought labor was starting around 2-4am today, but it fizzled. I actually did not ask for the membrane sweep at my appointment... partly because I'm still hopeful yesterday and last night signalled the start of something, and partly because after a terrible night of sleep I didn't feel excited or mentally prepared to essentially "ask for" labor to start. However, I asked to be put on the schedule Friday morning for a membrane sweep then (and my primary midwife is on labor & delivery all weekend, so that's a bonus!). Hoping for a Friday evening arrival, if labor doesn't start spontaneously first.

Hoping we all meet our babies in the next few days!!

@serenity13 I'm really sorry to hear how your appointment went. 
I have heard of a lot of people who are "locked shut" when checked only to go into labour the next day. Prayers that labour will get started on its own ASAP!

As for me, midwife today. I was 3 cms last week after a stretch and sweep. She did a check/another stretch today and I left th office 4-5cms dilated and she said she would be really surprised if I made it to my next appointment. (But I'm trying not to get my hopes up because this baby is stubborn!) haha 

ladies the end is in sight! Hang in there!!!!

@serenity13 my midwife told me to use my pump to do nipple stimulation. It makes you release oxytocin and is one of the actually proven methods of naturally inducing.

I'm feeling a lot better after taking a walk at the dog park & starting to process things more mentally- still hoping for the best & you're right, there's still a lot of time before Tuesday! @jenny0228 I haven't considered acupuncture but I might look into scheduling something since I know it's helped others. @RunBooRun I'll have to try that out later tonight, someone else told me to try it also so fingers crossed it'll help things move along!

I had an appointment today.  He did another sweep and said that should help. Also scheduled an induction for monday because I am ready for this to be over. So, this baby has until then to get out or we are going to force him out.

On the ultrasound, the tech pointed out that the kid has hair! You could see it. Amazing. Can't wait to see!!

thanks for the well wishes everyone! I just had the 1st medicine inserted, it very uncomfortable but similar to a cervix check. I start pitocin in the morning.  I'm hoping for a speedy process.

For those who are still pregnant, how are you sleeping? I wake up so many times at night that in the morning I'm so tired. I'm 5'4 and my bed is high off the ground so it hurts gettting in and out of bed and my back hurts between my shoulders which I think is from the way I have to push up when I get up. Anyone have any insight on where they are sleeping. I was thinking about going to the couch but we have a sectional and the recliners aren't comfortable. I tried the chaise earlier and that might be my best bet until baby comes.

I either sleep really well or I have insomnia, there's no in between. Last night I slept straight through, I didn't even get up to pee. The night before, I got maybe 3 hours of sleep. I watched netflix on the couch while trying to convince my body that I need to fall asleep.

It's just weird.

@RunBooRun oh my goodness so weird. I had a similar situation!
Despite going to bed with mild semi regular contractions last night, I only woke once to pee! I usually get up like 6 times! 
Weird and crazy symptom of immediate impending labour? Lets hope yes!!!

I'm late to the party but im 40+3 and am going insane. I've got an induction scheduled for next Wednesday and while it wasn't at all how I wanted this process to go at this point I'm just ready to get her out and meet her! I'm just trying to relax and stop thinking about going into labor. Well meaning friends and family are driving me crazy with checking in and insisting I try all these things to induce labor around their schedules. Viva induction!

No induction for me yet actually @jenny0228. Just stop and start contractions lately. 
Hope your induction speeds up and you meet your baby soon! So glad baby is doing well.

@RunBooRun yes I'm still hoping some of us will still have March babies!! Sorry to hear your contractions stopped - I had some starting the last two nights but they stopped by morning, it's getting a little frustrating but hopefully the real thing will happen soon for all of us!
