  • Read any good books lately? Are you currently reading anything? Anything on the to read list?
Ugh! I wish! All my reading time has been devoted to books that are required reading for grad school right now :( I miss having time to read. I am hoping this summer I will have more time. I have bought 2 books thinking I could sneak them in and read them in addition to grad work but so far I haven't had the time. I have the newest Red Queen book and I also have Carve the Mark just waiting on me to have the time.
Do you have any craft projects you are currently/want to start working on?
None started at the moment. I have a monthly subscription box (Paper Pumpkin) that sends me everything I need to make a paper craft arch month - usually it is cards. I really like that because I enjoy that type of craft and having everything you need and it already planned out makes it easy. Other than that I really don't have much going on in the way of projects at the moment. I am attempting to learn how to crochet but so far I only know 1 stitch and I am only meh at it :/ I would love to get good enough to make baby blankets.
Watch anything good lately? TV? Movies? Netflix?
I haven't watched anything new on TV lately. I like Criminal Minds is probably my favorite right now. I also really like Game of Thrones so I can't wait for that to be back on. Movies- I just saw Beauty and the Beast and loved it! Netflix- The last thing I watched was Series of Unfortunate Events which was pretty good.

  • Thanks, @glitzandglitter, for getting this started!

Reading any good books lately? Lately I haven't been reading much, but I'm halfway through a book called Sabriel by Garth Nix. It's a YA fantasy book that I read for the first time 15 years ago.

Do you have any craft projects you are currently/want to start working on? I'm working on painting the trim in my house. I started that project in November and so far I've completed the living room and entry. I would like to complete this project before May, but I don't think it's going to happen. I want to start on the backyard this weekend.

Watch anything good lately? TV? Movies? Netflix? Big Brother Canada and Survivor just started last week, so that will take up a lot of our tv time.

  • @glitzandglitter: What a fun subscription box! I love that you treat yourself to something fun that you enjoy. I like the idea of crocheting but I don't have the patience or attention span for it. My mom made my daughter a blanket when she was born and it's one of my most beloved items.

@ChloandCoco: painting baseboards is backbreaking! No wonder it takes up so much time! I love BB here in the US! I signed up to watch BBOTT but it just wasn't the same.

Reading any good books lately? I haven't been reading lately. I have a bad habit of just re-reading the same things over and over.
Craft projects? I wouldn't say "craft" but I am in the middle of redecorating our whole house. It's a little overwhelming but am just taking it one room at a time. I'm also getting stuff together for my daughter's birthday party in 2 weeks. I have most stuff in and just need to sort out all my ideas.
Watch anything good lately? I've been watching the original Unsolved Mysteries episodes on Prime. Such a crime nerd!

  • @notthefather, I don't think I'd be able to sleep if I watched Unsolved Mysteries! I love the show Criminal Minds, but I can say "It's just a show", but real cases? Not solved? I'm a wimp!

Reading any good books lately? Are you currently reading anything? Anything on the to read list?
I'm thinking about reading Outlander again. I love that series, but they're long and I feel like you have to read them together or you forget things.

Do you have any craft projects you are currently/want to start working on?
I'm not crafty at all. I spend a lot of time on something and then it turns out to be a Pinterest fail. I'll probably try a few things for my son for the summer... we'll see. :)

Watch anything good lately? TV? Movies? Netflix?
I'm going to binge watch This is Us soon. I've heard it's great but an emotional roller coaster.

Reading any good books lately? Are you currently reading anything? Anything on the to read list?
I wish. During the school year, I am too tired or too busy to read. I am hoping to get some reading done this summer.

Do you have any craft projects you are currently/want to start working on?
not so much a craft project, but I am working on a planter that we built. We planted it last week and the cows demolished the plants, so I'm replanting it today with Rose bushes. Hopefully the thorns will keep them away

ETA: 3rd question. My phone is so finicky..
    Watch anything good lately?
We watched "The Shallows" last night off of Netflix. It was pretty good. Suspenseful and had big sharks. I think anything with sharks is good! I am also a Treehouse Masters addict.

Right now I am halfway through "Joyous Childbirth Changes the World" by Dr. Tadashi Yoshimura (It's amazing!) I am excited to finish it so that I can jump into "Birthing From Within" by Pam England/Rob Horowitz.

Do you have any craft projects you are currently/want to start working on?
My entire life is crafting! I make faerie/flower crowns that I sell online and at markets, but now that I am pregnant I feel totally inspired to make a baby line of crowns, so I am going to start that soon.  SO and I are also in the middle of TWO remodeling projects, one is our 1966 bus house (getting new suspension, new solar, new floor, new shower/bath, new bed, etc...) and the other is our traveling 1972 conversion van, which just got a new wall yesterday! It's also getting solar, a new couch bed, new curtains, etc..   The list is literally never-ending.

Watch anything good lately? TV? Movies? Netflix?
I rarely watch videos, but I did take the time to watch the Business of Being Born on Youtube. I'm sure there are some other great pregnancy/birth documentaries out there waiting for me!

I just finished "When Breath Becomes Air". It's fantastic, but it isn't an uplifting book if that is what you are in the mood for.

Do you have any craft projects you are currently/want to start working on?
I am knitting a sweater for my oldest....well I've been knitting it for...um...awhile. Let's say it's a size 2T and she now wears 4T. I want to pick knitting back up, so I want to find a new project.

Watch anything good lately? TV? Movies? Netflix?
I just finished "The OA" and it's pretty good.

ETA: I also just watched "The Santa Clarita Diet"...loved it.

@glitzandglitter I was debating watching Series of Unfortunate Events, do you recommend?

@JNCPro3130 This is Us is soooo good, but bring your tissues.

  • Reading any good books lately? Are you currently reading anything? Anything on the to read list? I've got some books on my Kindle that I've been kind of half-working on. Most recently was 1984, which I haven't read since high school. I also want to re-read my favorite book, since it's been a couple of years since I read it, which is probably the longest it's been since I bought it. That's The Stand by Stephen King, by the way. I absolutely love it.

Do you have any craft projects you are currently/want to start working on? I want to get a sewing machine eventually. I'm on the higher end of plus size and, unfortunately, maternity clothes are next to impossible to find in my size. So I want to learn to make dresses so that I can just make my own stupid clothes, lol. I also have a tutu I want to make for a friend who's about to have a little girl. So. Many. Babies.

Watch anything good lately? TV? Movies? Netflix? I binged Santa Clarita Diet in one night, and it was so worth it. I thought it was a fantastic show, and I love the fact that the "organs" Drew Barrymore chews on are really just vegan friendly gummies, lmao. I'm a huge horror addict, to be honest. I also re-watched The Babadook recently, which is a fantastic movie. It's a heck of a slow burn, but in a wonderful way. Oh, and Black Mirror! Oh my god, that show is dark. It's so so good, though.

  • Reading any good books lately? Are you currently reading anything? Anything on the to read list? Halfway through spring break and I meant to read something, but it hasn't happened yet. I get too guilty about reading for fun during the term, when I have assigned reading for courses. Eventually, I need to finish the last few chapters of 100 Years of Solitude and I want to restart reading the Lord of the Rings. I'd made it halfway into the second book, but it's been years now and I don't remember the details (especially compared to the movies).

Do you have any craft projects you are currently/want to start working on? Mostly stuff related to gardening. I have some seedlings that need transplanted and I have to buy more soil to put the bigger plants outside. I live in the suburb area of a city right now, so I only have a blacony to work with. This is my first year solely container gardening. My mom just gave me this cool cross stitch baby blanket kit. For me to make a gift for my sister, who is expecting her 2cd child in August. The instructions are an ABC/animal pattern. I think I want to do mythological creatures on it though. I also joked about different types of cheeses, because my sister hates cheese. Hahaha.

Watch anything good lately? TV? Movies? Netflix? My latest obsession is with studio Ghibli's "Ronja the Robbers Daughter" which is a cute coming of age story about a girl, named Ronja. It's based on a book by the author who wrote Pippi Longstocking. (I guess add that book to the list above too). For those familiar with Ghibli's (anime) work, it's a lot like Ponyo or Totoro. Very much "kidish" compared to other works of theirs.
    glitzandglitterlivingthedream-3
  • @tumbleweed - I love movies by Studio Ghibli! "Ronja" sounds like a great movie, I'll have to watch it soon.
  • @ChloandCoco - I just realized that I didn't specify, but Ronja is a show and not a movie. One season- (26 ~25 min episodes), not a movie like their other works. I was so sad when I finished it! We watched it on Amazon prime streaming service, I think.
  • @tumbleweed - I looked it up last night and saw that it was a show. I'm looking for a new tv show right now anyway, so it's perfect!

Reading any good books lately? Are you currently reading anything? Anything on the to read list?  I got a kindle for Christmas last year so I've been reading some of the freebies available through Prime.  I recently read a book Go Away Home by Carol Bodensteiner (I liked this a lot more than I expected!). Harry Potter confession...I wanted a kindle so that I could read the ebook short stories published by Pottermore.

Do you have any craft projects you are currently/want to start working on?  Does planning my son's first birthday party count?  I'd like to make a birthday banner out of fabric - I do have a sewing machine but I haven't used it in probably 2 years so it's about time it gets some love!

Watch anything good lately? TV? Movies? Netflix? We're really lame at my house and we mostly watch sports. My favorite tv show is Gilmore Girls so I catch re-runs occasionally, not that I have to since I own all of the seasons.  I recently purchased the movie Love and Friendship, but I haven't watched it yet because I want to watch it with my BFF.  When we first met we bonded over Jane Austen so that's one of our things now.  I also recently saw Beauty and the Beast and that was seriously amazing!!!
