I did one of these a few weeks ago but figured I will try again since most of us our now in the second trimester and will be incorporating a workout routine!

2: How was your last week?
I managed to get in a cross Fit workout Tuesday and hopefully tonight. I did not get to attend my regular yoga class on Sunday due to a headache but was able to make up the class last night. Hoping to get in a Cross Fit workout on Saturday also.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead?
If it is warm I want to do at least one 2-3 mile run outside next week.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
Enjoy a meal out tomorrow night!
5: Rants/Raves/Questions
So this week I have noticed a huge difference in my cross fit workouts which involves weight overhead, heavy squats, pull ups etc. It is not a cramping but a pulling/ stretching feeling. I am wondering if this is ok and normal to feel since baby is getting bigger? My midwife only said to stop if I feel cramping or start bleeding but will have to ask her again.
2: How was your last week? Not very active. A couple long walks but no workouts.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? get my ass to the gym at least 3x
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? we'll see what I actually accomplish! It's DH's birthday so a nice dinner out this weekend.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? just rants at myself for having no motivation. I should try to elliptical later or maybe do a yoga video. When did you stop doing poses involving lying on your stomach? Or have you just done what's comfortable?
15 weeks tomorrow
2: How was your last week?
great! i'm a tahitian dancer...and we practice twice a week. (we were actually just featured on the show Hollywood Today Live.) if you google Te Varua Ori, you will see our viral duckwalk video. despite the art and grace of the dance, it's incredibly athletic and very challenging. last week, I was able to do our drills without completely dying or stopping. AND last thursday was the day I told the rest of my team that I'm pregnant. My director knew from day 1 because i wasn't going to stop dancing. and on thursday she gave me the lead @ front and center for our Mehura (kinda like hula, but really slow and beautiful) for our show next month. NBD. haha...it's her way of celebrating our baby girl.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead?
get back to the gym or go hiking.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
my bmi is pretty high already. so i can't treat myself too much. probably hit up souplantation for unlimited salad!
5: Rants/Raves/Questions?
my midwife told me to only gain 11-20 lbs because of my beginning weight. i have a friend telling me i "need to gain 60-90" or we'll have complications. ok, sure... eyeroll.
1: How far along are you? 16
2: How was your last week? Not great, just a little walking.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? Trying to get a run in and/or find some exercise videos I can do.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? No idea.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? I hate being in CA with no good trails I can walk/run and no friends to walk or run with. I know I'd still be getting runs in if I was in CO.
2: How was your last week? Not quite as active as I would have liked, but just because I was busy with other things and didn't have as much time to exercise as I would have liked. I swam once and walked once.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? My goal every week is to swim 3 times a week and walk the days I don't swim. I'd also like to start doing prenatal yoga, either at a class or with a video.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
Friday night date night dinner out!
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? The weather here (Boston) has been completely miserable lately, so it makes outside exercise undesirable. Anytime March would like to stop acting like January and spring would like to come, I would be happy!

2: How was your last week?
Nausea has been waning, so I've been able to do more things around the house and walk a little more.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead?
Walk around the track every day after work for at least 15 minutes. And begin to eat more veggies and hopefully more protein if I can stomach it.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
Eat a bowl of ice cream, haha.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions?
Just glad to finally be pushing this nausea to the back burner. I'm sure it's not totally gone, but it's not something I'm dealing with on an hour-by-hour basis.

2: How was your last week?
Ok. Got out for a run twice and went to body pump.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead?
I'd like to get back up to running 3x/week now that the nausea and fatigue have subsided, and the weather's getting better
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
I bought some maternity workout clothes
5: Rants/Raves/Questions?
1: How far along are you?
13 weeks
2: How was your last week?
Lazy
3: What are your goals for the week ahead?
To actually wear my Fitbit and track my movement. Hopefully, since the weather is finally starting to warm up, I can get outside and walk around the block a bit.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
We are heading to visit family next weekend and my sister in law is a master pie maker, so I'll save my treat for eating all the pie!
5: Rants/Raves/Questions?
Really looking forward to 2nd trimester energy and the warmer weather.
1: How far along are you? 16+5
2: How was your last week? Bad. I had a lot of back and ab pain, I was pretty low key with workouts. As in, I got one in and that was it.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? Two gym trips, and we'll probably be doing yard work this weekend.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? I want to buy some maternity workout pants.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? During my last pregnancy, I was more focused on cardio/ less on weights. I started a heavier workout regimen last summer, and still do cardio, but not as much. Does anyone have experience with lifting during second/ third tri? I have decreased weights that didn't feel right, and stopped doing front load squats a few weeks ago bc it hurt. I talked to the nurse about it on Monday, and she said I shouldn't be lifting at all after the next 8-10w. I think that's total bullshit. I'm all for adjusting and honoring how my body reacts to workouts, but she only wants me to swim and do prenatal yoga. I hate yoga, and don't have access to a pool. I see the midwives starting with my next appt, but anyone's experiences are appreciated!

Prenatal yoga is not a workout. It's a good stretch and can be relaxing but I never feel like I've actually exercised after that
1: How far along are you? 17+3
2: How was your last week? It was ok. I went to the gym a couple of times and did some walking
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? Add another gym day and get back on my bike.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? We're getting a couples massage on Friday that I'm super excited about.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? My doctor gave me the green light to start riding my bike again. I haven't gotten back on it yet but the weather is finally nice enough to start riding again. Does anyone else here bike? I feel like my belly is going make pedaling uncomfortable because it already sticks out so far. Any tips on making the ride more comfortable?
Thanks, ladies! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was bad advice. I've been in the exercise game for a long time, so I'm fine with recognizing what is and isn't working for my body, especially while pregnant. But I see no reason to stop lifting, for as long as it doesn't cause problems. I worked out until 38w with DS (even if it was just walking a mile around the indoor track towards the end), and I think it's part of the reason my labor went so well.
I'm going to do some online research and see what I can do for variations on some of my favorite workouts for now, and adjust as necessary.
