1) How many weeks are you? 11 weeks!
2) How are you feeling? Not terrible. Just exhausted, and yesterday I had a pretty unpleasant round of nausea before I left for work.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Tomorrow I'm getting blood work done as part of the initial genetic testing.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? This is going to be the longest week ever... school rehearsals last night and tonight, church band practice Wednesday night, school concert on Thursday night, and a big school fundraiser on Saturday. At least it will make the time before my next doctor's appointment (Monday) go faster.
5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Assuming money was no object, London. I absolutely love that city.

2) How are you feeling? Still some nausea, but cannot complain too much as it has gotten better.  RLP has increased though - I hate sneezing!
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Monday!!  It will be my first appointment and I'll get an ultrasound and meet with the nurse.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I feel bad for my DS (2 years old).  I'm exhausted when I come home.  He wants to play and I can't handle that.  He has had his fair share of the iPad these few weeks.  
5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?  I'm a military brat and lived in Germany for nine years.  I would go back there in heartbeat.

2) How are you feeling? In and Out of Great and Ultra Bad! Yah!

3) Any appointments or tests this week? None, not until Monday coming up

4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Yesterday, I was trying on some dresses that all fit super horribly, and I noticed that on my right shoulder, towards my back, I've developed stretch marks. I'm so upset. Neither of my parents have stretch marks and I really swear I'm not gaining weight quickly. I'm watching what I eat, I'm drinking a good amount of water, I'm moisturizing with Cocoa Butter AND Coconut Oil, I am exfoliating, I'm not scratching... and still, here they are. It really makes me sad, I never thought that I would have my whole body covered in stretch marks. I only naively thought i'd get a few sparse ones here and there... not on my shoulders, hips, thighs, tush, breasts, etc. UGH! Someone give me a Klondike bar.  

5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? 
I have never gone, so this may be just a shot in the dark, but I would love to live in Spain. It seems beautiful, I speak the language, and it's near Africa, another place I have always wanted to visit. 

@dmellis02 Goodluck with your appointment on Monday! The first ultrasound appointment is interesting to say the least. I don't know if they will draw blood (likely will) but I could not get any blood out to give them sooo make sure you drink plenty of water! That's my mission on Monday, haha! Will be looking for your update

@soprano19  do you know the type of test (name) you are getting? I need to pick a test by next week and have never heard of the one i'm being offered.

2) How are you feeling?  Just really tired!
3) Any appointments or tests this week?  Well i had my doc appt on friday - and we found out its twins!  We were so shocked since we weren't expecting more than 1 at all.  I think we are finally (sorta) getting used to the idea but what an adjustment we had to make!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?  I kinda looped it into #3 
5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?  Paris!  I went once with my family and once with dh - i fell in love!  Between the language and the food and the culture, it was amazing!  I had seriously considered retiring there but with 2 kids on the way and dd, I'm pretty sure we won't be able to afford it .. Lol!

2) How are you feeling? The status quo is basically "meh." Constantly nauseated, sore boobs, and always tired.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? I just found out last night that our first US is booked for April 4th; next MW appointment isn't until April 12th. 
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? My DH. The other night we were watching a murder mystery on Netflix and he said "I don't like you watching such dark, sad shows when you're pregnant. You should watch happy stuff!" To which I replied "Does that mean I have carte blanche to indulge in chick flicks, even when you're watching too?" And he said "Yes!" He has no idea what he just signed himself up for... 
5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? San Francisco (but I'm rather fond of the LA area and the Oregon Coast too!)

@VLillyV Thank you!  I'm nervous and excited at the same time.  It is not until the afternoon so it will be a long day of getting nothing done at work.  I look forward to hearing your update as well.  And in regards to stretch marks, I hear you!  My sister has gone through two pregnancies with no stretch marks.  Here is my second kid and I already see new stretch marks building on the old ones.

@keiraanne -That's funny about your DH. Mine is obsessed with my water intake. He is constantly filling up my 32 oz water bottle and reprimanding me for "not drinking enough." Chill dude... I'm going to float away lol.

1) How many weeks are you? Either 11 or almost 10.. or somewhere in between lol.

2) How are you feeling? Still sick on/off all day. Only a few more weeks in the first trimester- can't wait for this to go away (everyone insists it will!)

3) Any appointments or tests this week? No... next apt is next Friday.

4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Nah. Just excited to finally tell people. We told my dad last Saturday. He wasn't as surprised as I thought he would be.. he said people kept asking when we would have kids lol We're telling my MIL when she visits next weekend.. I bought her a frame that says "only the best moms are promoted to grandma." This will be her first grandchild so we're excited to tell her. I bought some "big cousin" t shirts for my nephew and niece and a "BAE- Best aunt ever" t shirt for my sister to announce to them. (Their b-days are all in April, so they'll think it's early b-day gifts.) Oh and my favorite- I t shirt for my FIL that says "The Grandfather" in the style of The Godfather logo. We'll see him Easter weekend and can't wait to see his reaction.

5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Toss up between Paris and London. Paris was always my favorite city, but we went to London this past October and I loved it there! I'm a huge history buff, especially the English monarchy of the middle and renaissance ages. Heck if I could live in either place.. I'd go back and forth all the time to visit the other

@VLillyV Oh no! That sucks about the strech marks. It's crazy how you can try everything to prevent them, yet they still happen

Had an appointment today! Got to see baby..its starting to look more human, but also like a potato.

I was told that I can go in next Tuesday to have bloodwork done for the Progenity test and find out the gender! So excited!

Somewhere in Australia or New Zealand by the beach.

Mine is obsessed with making sure I get enough calcium. It seems like a really random thing to be so focused on!

@VLillyV I'm not sure what these specific blood tests are called, but they are supposed to work in conjunction with our NT scan to tell us the likelihood of chromosomal abnormalities. If either the blood work or NT scan comes back with any concerns, we will have the option of having more tests done, like an amnio or CVS. What test are you having?

@VLillyV @soprano19 We're offered two tests here in Canada (Harmony and Panorama). DH and I have opted for Panorama as it tests for more things. Our first US is on April 4 and then I think we do the genetic blood testing 10 days later.

Meh... Tired all the time.  The nausea is greatly improved with diclegis but still have my moments.  Newest last night was dizziness, and today is a headache. 

3) Any appointments or tests this week?
This afternoon.  She wanted to see me again to make sure Im not still losing weight and that I feel better since starting diclegis next week.  I dont think there will be anything else exciting.

4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I cant wait to start feeling better.  Im so jealous of everyone towards the beginning of the month who are starting to see the end of first tri!

5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I love living in Arizona.  But if it wasn't here, probably something like the Caribbean or Hawaii (I like to be warm!).

@soprano19 Thank you for your input -  I'm not sure exactly. Out of 4 tests, it looks like I get to chose 1 within the test. It's the Sequenom testing. It looks like I would fall best under the Maternit21 test. I will likely have to call my insurance because I read online that they charge 2,000 USD to the insurance and with our copay, that would not be ideal... I have a cousin with Spina Bifida and want to rule that out if possible.

@VLillyV My lower stomach broke out in stretch marks overnight and then two weeks later I found out I was pregnant. Ugh. So now I'm oiling and rubbing lotion but I haven't gained any weight and I can't imagine what I'll look like in 30 more week when I actually have a belly. Yikes. If you find anything that's working please share!

2) How are you feeling? I am feeling pretty good! Still tired, but that is getting better. Sickness is still being held off with meds, thankfully! 
3) Any appointments or tests this week? None. Had the Panorama test done last week. Should know something at our appointment on 3/29! Anxious, but praying all is well! 
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Told our families! They were very excited. Pretty certain they all thought we were never going to have kids, lol. 
5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? I'd love to give London a try. I know living there vs. visiting has to be vastly different, but I have always enjoyed my time there.

Turns out my appointment was more than I thought, all my lab work was done today.  Surprise!  H said I can tell people I gave blood today with how much they took.  Scheduled our NT scan for 3 weeks from today.

She also said they are going with 10/26 as my official due date because of LMP, even though based on ovulation I'm 10/31 and last scan I was 10/30.  I don't what to call my EDD now!

@soprano19 your week made me exhausted! I was in band in grade school - what do your kids play? Also your blood screen + NT scan sounds like what I'm getting. I'm getting the quad screen rather than the NIPT 
@dmellis02 RLP with me too - I've developed a light cough that I think is allergy related and it is pretty painful sometimes. I have to clutch my gut when I feel a cough coming on, but when it catches me of guard it hurts!
@VLillyV sorry about the stretch marks, I think some people are predisposed to them more than others. And Spain is my pick too, though I've also never been. DH makes it sound like a dream!

Better - less tailbone pain finally! I am still vomiting intermittently but there's no associated nausea? Strange I know. Lots of bloat, and RLP with coughing!
And we're starting to tell more and more of our families. It's getting exciting!

None this week - just the quad screen and NT scan next week! eek!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Trying to figure out what I should be doing to prepare for the LO arrival. I feel like the first tri both dragged and flew by. Should I have the day care center lined up already? Should I start looking into pediatricians? Should I request the bp from my insurance already? 
5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I would live in Spain - the siestas do it for me! DH says that the culture is so much more laid back and focused on living life rather than working to afford life. Sounds like the place for me.
But the diversity of cultures in such a close geography makes Europe very enticing.

2) How are you feeling? Okay. Mostly tired and some m/s. Not full blown nausea but my body gets angry quickly if I'm hungry or thirsty at all.   
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Had it Monday! All is well! 
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? My PCM is my doc and I believe she's not used to doing u/s before 11 weeks. Took her a long time to find baby and a few tries to get the heartbeat. Hearing that sweet heartbeat brought such relief. There is indeed a growing baby in there!  
5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? I would want to go back home. Eventually that will happen.

@cactusblossum how do you like the diclegis? I got put on it after being admitted to the hospital for dehydration last week. It makes me sooo tired..like to the point where I can't function. They want me to take it in the morning, afternoon, and night, but I usually only take it at night.
@PizzaMonster3 No reveal party for us...all our family lives far from us and we haven't told many friends we're expecting yet because we had a loss in January.

11! Almost out of the first trimester, YAY!

Super emotional, but with everything in life going on right now it's kind of expected but I'm not a fan.

Nope, none this week. Next Thursday I go in for my 12 week appt, but I don't think they are doing another sono (BOOOO) but I do think we are checking the heartbeat.

4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
None really at the moment, just hanging out and being preggoooooo.

5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? 
Honestly, I don't even know. I like Texas, but I think I would move wayyyy more west. But in a fairy world I would love to go to Italy and eat ALLLLLLLL THE CARBS!

@PizzaMonster3 - I don't think it technically takes that long, but that is just when my OB said she'd have my results. I did a couple Google searches and saw some saying they received their results in 7 days. I guess 2 weeks out is when my OB's office does it. What's leaving you in suspense an extra week, right?!

As for baby prep - NO idea! The only thing I know for certain is our Pediatrician. I'm an OB/Nursery nurse, so I know exactly who I want taking care of my baby. I've seen them all in action. When it comes to daycare, depending on where you live, some have long waiting lists. Hopefully childcare is better in your area, but I have a friend who has had her little boy on a waiting list at a particular daycare center since she was 8 weeks pregnant. He is currently 18 mos old. I'll be staying home, but I know here I would have already hopped on some lists!

@pizzamonster3 i dont know whether to stay tuesday or change  I think tuesday is right, there's no way im 8+5 like the doc is trying to say.  Ill probably end up staying here and agree to disagree with the doc.

@flowerintherain i mostly like the diclegis.  ive been taking 2 at night 1 in the morning.  it does make me tired but my nausea was sooo bad and so miserable that its an acceptable trade off (i lost 8 pounds in a week and was getting pretty dehydrated before starting it).  I still get some bouts here and there, debating on whether or not to add the 1 in the afternoon but Ill probably hold off for now.  I dont know how i would have made it without it but i dont necessarily love being on it

Feeling so much better!! Take that 1st trimester! I can't wait to officially say goodbye to you next week!

I just had my first appointment since my confirmation of pregnancy appointment. Hearing the heartbeat made this feel way more real.

Not a rant, rave, or question, just pure admiration for all of you ladies. This is my second go around and I couldn't tell you the name of any tests that are supposed to be done, or what should be happening when- I am so impressed with everyone's knowledge! 
5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? 
I live in Calgary, and honestly, I wouldn't move anywhere else in the world. My ideal would to buy an acreage just south of the city, but I could never move away. Now, I have no problem spending half the year travelling to France, Sweden, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, he'll lets just say everywhere in Europe.

@cactusblossum- I feel you on the confusion. I O'd late.. but when I went in I was measuring 2 days ahead of my estimate based on O. Since that wasn't more than 7 days from the LMP EDD, the Dr said they're going with LMP. So by LMP I'm 11 weeks. But by measurement (and common sense) I'm really 10. I never know what to call myself lol.

@PizzaMonster3- I'm on 1 waiting list for a daycare. It's the one they offer on the military base I work on. They are my number one choice because they are so close to work and I hope to use the on-post gym to get in a workout after work before picking up LO. They're also the most economical. I got on the list at 4 weeks and right now they won't have placement for me until May 2018! So I'll have to figure something out between Dec and May. That's really the only thing I've done so far to prepare... other than taking a look at our insurance coverage for maternity and how to add a dependent.

@PizzaMonster3 - in my area in NY, theres plenty of everything so there was never a reason to start so early but if u live in a smaller place with waitlists, I'd start now.

@crazypuglady - i was gonna say, theres so close to each other.  You could spend 6 months in paris and 6 months in london!

We're on vacation in Kauai this week so I'm a little late to the Tuesday ticker change party!

12 weeks! So close to 2nd trimester, woo!

2) How are you feeling? 
I'm actually feeling really good! Pretty tired but otherwise doing great. 

3) Any appointments or tests this week? 
Next appointment and genetic testing is on the 31st. 

4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
 DD turned 3 this week and she's showing her age VERY well.  I'm here, in paradise, with my parents and DD. DH couldn't take a week off from teaching to join us, understandably/unfortunately. Handling DD's insanity has been hard but the pool and beach has made it easier! If we were home, we'd be stuck inside!! 

5) GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Kauai is pretty great. I'd stay if I could!!

@crazypuglady how in the world can the waiting list go out to May '18?  Are there really SSs out there reserving spaces pre-conception?  Like "I'm going to get KU in September, hold me a spot for May '18"?  that sucks hope something opens up for you

@cactusblossum- haha no.. unfortunately on an Army base there's a hierarchy... veterans and military are given preference followed by civilians, then contractors. I'm a civilian employee so I'm further down on the list. There's also a limited amount of openings and I'm sure a high demand because its convenient to have daycare at work. Plus, I think if you have a sibling already enrolled, you are given a higher preference. That's why I jumped on the list ASAP to get in line. I'm sure we'll probably get placement before May 18, as people do drop, but who knows.. at least I'm signed up.
