Hi all! I'm keeping off the scale for another 2 weeks because I'm waiting for my new thyroid meds to kick in and I don't want to be depressed, but I'm still dieting and exercising as best I can and keeping up with the check in! Woo!
Stats, if you care to share, starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight: What is your diet and exercise game plan for this week/month? Do you have any mini goals you're looking forward to hitting? Anything to help motivate you? GTKY: are there any shows or book series you're obsessed with?
Stats, if you care to share, starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight: As mentioned above, not weighing in this week or next. What is your diet and exercise game plan for this week/month? I've given up snacks for Lent, which I'm doing great at through the week and...not so great on weekends. But I need to kick it into higher gear, so the next two months I am also calorie counting religiously with the goal of 1450 or less EVERY day (including weekends) most of the time. Also, saying goodbye to wine for two months except for my anniversary celebration this Saturday.
So for the next two months: no snacks, calorie counting and hitting 1450 and under daily, and also working out 3x a week cardio and 3x a week at home strength training. It's a lot, but it's only 2 months and if I even accomplish 80% of it, I think I'll hit my goal, once the new thyroid meds kick in. Do you have any mini goals you're looking forward to hitting? Anything to help motivate you? I have a friend's bachelorette party at the end of May and I would LOVE to be at my pre pregnancy weight by then! It's in two months basically, so I'm going to work as hard as I can to get there. GTKY: are there any shows or book series you're obsessed with? Game of Thrones! I've read all the books and am in love with the show! Also love Harry Potter!
Stats, if you care to share, starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight: I have not gotten on the scale for a few days - but last time I was down 1 lbs which is awesome because I had gained the week before. What is your diet and exercise game plan for this week/month? Work out again. I finally got my act together and worked out again last week. I am hoping to get at least 2 workouts in this week but I'd really like to get 3 in. I also, need to get the snacking back under control. I did better with that today so hopefully I will continue that trend the rest of the week. Do you have any mini goals you're looking forward to hitting? Anything to help motivate you? No mini goals really. Maybe I should set some though... I want to just keep losing. I am trying to use TTC as a motivation. I would really like to lose some more weight and be in better shape before pregnancy. The problem I am running into is the lazy version of me just keeps thinking 'oh well - why work so hard to gain it all back? Just wait until after pregnancy and lose it all.' This is not a good mind set but it is what I am up against. GTKY: are there any shows or book series you're obsessed with? Harry Potter for sure!! I have watched all the seasons of GoT but I haven't read the books...might need to add those to my to read list... For weekly shows I like to watch - Criminal Minds, Elementary, Bones, New Girl
@maureenmce you seem to have some good determination! You got this! @glitzandglitter congrats on the loss!!! That's great! I'm also a huge HP fan! Never got into GoT though!
starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight: 135, IDK, 128ish What is your diet and exercise game plan for this week/month? I haven't exercised in over a week!! Goal is to exercise at least 3x this week and stay under 1400 calories/day. Do you have any mini goals you're looking forward to hitting? Anything to help motivate you? def looking forward to getting back under 130 but my lack of progress (even when I'm on the ball) makes me feel like it won't happen! I know consistency is key... GTKY: are there any shows or book series you're obsessed with? currently watching Big Little Lies...has anyone else read the book and is watching the show?! Also I can watch Parks and Rec and The Office over and over and over again.
Yay @glitzandglitter!! Way to go on tonight's workout and the weight loss! I know it's easy to say it's pointless to lose weight now but the better shape you're in before, the easier it will be to bounce back. @maureenmce: 6 days a week is a lot! It's good to have a short term goal to keep in mind. Great job with the snacking!
Stats, if you care to share, starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight: Maintain current weight, tone up What is your diet and exercise game plan for this week/month? I completed 4/5 days of workouts for spring break last week. By the last day I was tired and gave myself a break. I did at least take a walk with my daughter though. I'm on a work trip now and have been eating horribly. On the plus side I've probably walked 1000 miles. Do you have any mini goal you're looking forward to hitting? Anything to help motivate you? My workouts have been good but I really have to get my eating back on track. I've also come down with my own man cold and feel like shit so I'm sure my workouts will now be off track. GTKY: are there any shows or book series you're obsessed with? Books: Harry Potter! I went to HP world yesterday and it was amazing. Movies: Lord of the Rings. TV: Breaking Bad
@notthefather - I love Hogsmead and Diagon Alley. I seriously wish I could go just hang out there all the time - so amazing! 4/5 is awesome!! I am sorry about the man cold I hope you get to feeling better soon!
ETA: I would love to go to the Warner Brothers studio tour in the UK. They are opening the Forbbidon Forest this month there.
Stats, if you care to share, starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight: 165, 164.4, 140 or less This was a bad week for me because of birthday weekend, haha. DH is going to start holding me more accountable to the diet starting this week.
What is your diet and exercise game plan for this week/month? Stop cheating on the diet I need to cut the carbs out and start working out more.
Do you have any mini goals you're looking forward to hitting? Anything to help motivate you? My mini goal so far is to get under 160. A few weeks back I was at 160.4 and thought for sure I'd be under the next week, but then went up two pounds So that's my current mini goal. I guess the motivation right now is that my BIL is getting married on Daytona Beach at the end of August and I'd love to feel comfortable in a bathing suit!
GTKY: are there any shows or book series you're obsessed with? Right now DH and I are watching Last Man Standing on Netflix. Otherwise not really. I don't have time to read, ever. And we barely watch tv anyways (no cable so we're limited to Netflix and Amazon Prime)
@glitzandglitter I did try the frozen, I was skeptical but it was delicious! Regular is still my fav but frozen was really good too! That frozen foam on top !! Not a fan of the hot butterbeer though...
Honestly, not a fan of the frozen version. My sweet coworker offered to get me a refill on butterbeer while i rode a ride. She wasn't sure which I wanted and decided on a frozen. It was definitely not the same. I took a few sips and discreetly threw the rest away.
Woo just did my strength training at home! It's like...a kind of pathetic routine, since I'm so out of shape, but I am on track to do it three times this week, so I'm psyched! Also, now it's after 11 and past my bedtime, but still! Woo!
Hey, everyone! Random question... I'm starting a new clean eating diet soon. Before I do, I'm thinking about doing a cleanse/detox. Have any of you done one that you liked and felt like worked?
Stats, if you care to share, starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight: I fluctuate between 140-146. I'd like to be a steady 140, but any less and I look sickly. (I am pretty much the opposite of a petite build.). Hoping my thyroid medicine will help me get to 140 and stay. What is your diet and exercise game plan for this week/month? I am not an exerciser, but I've been watching my snacking. Trying to just eat breakfast at home, skip my morning snack, eat lunch and dinner. I was eating nonstop for a while and it caught up to me. I gained 3 lbs over Spring Break
Do you have any mini goals you're looking forward to hitting? Anything to help motivate you? I am pretty much just wanting good numbers when I do labs on the 14th. I am hoping if I clean up my snacking some and stick to my medicine, it'll show!
GTKY: are there any shows or book series you're obsessed with? Any house flipping show. Criminal Minds or NCIS (the original one). Leroy Jethro Gibbs is my favorite! Oh, and Big Bang Theory. We go to sleep to it EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT. And I wouldn't have it any other way!
@easttxmamas OMG we have the same taste in tv shows. BBT is one I haven't watched much, but anytime I've seen it I enjoy it. NCIS is my absolute favorite, don't have cable though so I haven't been able to keep up with this season. Also, my sons name is Anthony, and even though DH doesn't like to admit it, I totally fell in love with that name because of Tony DiNozzo, hahaha.

We own every season of BBT and I am not at all ashamed to admit that; hahaha! I don't usually watch new ones. I am a binge watcher, so I watch them when they're on USA, TNT, etc so I can watch 15 in one day. Sad, but true. I also have no want to watch new NCIS because Tony and Ziva are gone.
