@dreamscapes_ I love my medication reminder app! I never miss any meds anymore because it annoys the crap out of me until I take them I wish I would I found it earlier. I also have a pill box that has a a compartment for each day that detaches from the base. Each compartment also has a morning and night side so I can grab my pill box for the day and keep it with me so I never miss a pill.
Ugh caffeine! That's the biggest thing I need to do I guess. I've actually increased my caffeine intake (coffee) over the past few weeks. I've been taking PNV since I was pregnant with DD1, I just never stopped. I'll also have to figure out new sleeping arrangements, but I won't worry about that for a while since I'm sure I'll be co-sleeping or at least have a bassinet in our bedroom for a while.
Hey ladies! I'm new to the group and new to the acronyms, so I'll apologize now.
DH and I talked about TTC in December since I was close to graduating then, but babies are wreaking havoc on my brain. I started a PNV and I'm planning on really getting back into a fitness routine and healthy diet. I'm also going for a dry April (no alcohol) and less sugar. If I can get my body on track, then starting TTC a couple months earlier will be great!
@Kmorgan16 - the acronyms can take a little bit to get down. Feel free to just ask us if there is something you come across that you don't know - we have a pretty friendly group here who will help you out Also, I'm not sure if you have seen this already but here is a link that you might find helpful https://www.thebump.com/community-glossary
@glitzandglitter What app do you use? I'm using Round, which is pretty good. It also has a discreet icon on my screen, which I like. The only person who really pokes at my phone is DH, but still, lol.
Hello, everyone! I've recently started getting a little involved with a few discussion after lurking for a week for so.
DH and I are looking to starting TTC in June. We're huge planners with practically every aspect of our lives and ideally we didn't want our baby to have a November-February birthday so we figured June would be a perfect time to start TTC.... My coworker picks on me for being so strategic with everything. Lol
With that being said, I started PNV in January to get my body ready. I stopped taking my BC April first (start of new cycle). I'm pretty excited about that, for the past few months I would feel sick to my stomach every time I took my BC, so being off is a relief. If that leads to a baby quicker than June we'll still be extremely thrilled!
Everyone seems very knowledgeable, kind and welcoming. I look forward to getting more involved with the forums and meeting new people. Good luck to all the ladies who are actively trying now and will be soon!
I have been taking a multivitamin to get in the habit of PNVs.
I also have a "wishlist" on Amazon (HIDDEN because I don't need family/friends to start freaking out!) with baby stuff (toys, books, other random things that I'd like to get, etc.). It's fun to "shop" without the pressure.
Re: Let's talk about preparation!
