  • @meilay same here.  Except it's because I want the extra time in bed.  I need to get better about showering at night so I don't have to worry about it in the morning.

  • DS has a bad cold and basically no appetite, so for the past day or two his meals have mostly consisted of Happy Baby superfood pouches and yogurt. I feel like a mom fail, but it seems like the best (only?) way to get him enough fruits/veggies and protein at the moment. :disappointed:

I can't deal with not showering...I just feel gross.

DHs company decided to give everyone the day off, so he has been home all day. This has resulted in me getting almost zero work done. I feel like I have been slacking off ever since I got pregnant, and I keep worrying that one day they will notice and call me out on it.

  • @meilay I'm an every other day showerer too.

My confession is I leave my dog in her crate all day while my husband is at work.  I just can't deal with her peeing and pooping all over the house all day if I don't let her out every 1-2hrs.  She is 11yrs old and just started this crap 6 months ago.  I have taken her to the vet and the neuro specialist and they can't find anything medically wrong with her.

I'm that beta mom that doesn't do any of this stuff.  We barely do Easter, and don't make a big deal of it.  It's Christmas and Easter that have someone that come and bring things, and that's it.  I don't have time to make leprechaun traps and all that jazz.

  • @awillis13 last year I had footprints across the table but was feeling a little lazy last night so just left the gold coins/little buckets and my son asked this morning why this guy didn't leave prints.  Guess I gotta be fancy every year now.   :D

I love doing all of the cute fun stuff! I used to do it for my younger siblings and can't wait until my kids are old enough to care. DS was 8 months at Christmas and I still did Elf on the Shelf. Definitely more for DH's entertainment at this point.

  • Omg, elf on the shelf.  The thing I wish I had never started.  I NEVER remember to move it.  And there's definitely no naughty elf things going on here.  He literally just sits on a shelf (or window, or mantle, etc.)

I never realized St. Patrick's day celebrating other than green shirts and beer was a thing until recently.  I've never heard of leprechaun traps or hiding gold coins.

I guess I'm a beta mom in that respect too @awillis13 I don't do planned out things and gifts for Valentine's Day or St. Patrick's Day.  I do simple Easter baskets but it's not all out Christmas like some of my friends do at Easter.  And I do not do Elf on the Shelf.

I kind of think Holidays hAve somewhat gotten out of control but I also think we just see more with Facebook and Pinterest.  Im not going to put down anyone that does that fun stuff and I do enjoy seeing people post on Facebook but that's not me and im ok with that!  We were so focused on going to see Beauty and the beast today that I almost forgot it was even St. Patrick's Day!

I could see myself celebrating the holidays with cupcakes...but really that's only because I like cupcakes.  Forget the other crap, I just want the excuse to bake.
I have the perfect St. Patrick's Day recipe.
