i get annoyed at a lot of scary mommy blogs. i feel like they are always harping on things you can't say to mothers. yea sometimes strangers annoy me with their comments in regards to my kids. but i know they mean it from a good place. i just smile and nod and forget that encounter ever happened. we can't take all these things so seriously.

My UO has been harped on before but then my sister goes and does it so it's annoying me again today.  When people put the ultrasound photo showing their babies genitalia all over social media. 

Also, this isn't really unpopular but I've encountered this this week with someone close to me and I'm just pissed today, people who smoke the entire pregnancy and try to BF while smoking and wonder why their baby is having such a difficult time.  It's freaking addicted to nicotine, that's his problem!  *vent over/pray for this baby*

I finally have one!  

I am more than done with coconut oil being the be all, end all of every skin issue going. I'm very open to crunchy products and alternative treatments *if they work* but for us, coconut oil just doesn't. 

I'm a cloth diaper mama with a son who has some pretty severe eczema issues. If I hear "just use coconut oil" one more time, I may scream. I get that it may have worked for you, but trust me when I say that when my son's cheeks are open and weeping and crusting over, it may be time for more than just coconut oil.

why? bc you think they are flashing goods or something? everything is so grainy and fuzzy, there is nothing to see. i don't really care for u/s pics bc i dont know what i am looking at. this is basically me every time i see one.

I don't understand why some people don't paint their walls. White is so boring! At least jazz it up with some beige or off-white if color isn't your thing.

shan24  yeah I haven't had much luck with coconut oil either.  Plus I hate the smell!  I will use it as a carrier oil though if I'm using EOs.

@carries2018 yes ma'am.  I feel like I would never put nude pictures of myself or my kids on the internet, that's no different.  And I'm really talking about those pictures with the giant arrows or circles around them saying "It's a ___"  I know most don't care, but it irks me!

@jessafishy i literally just decided if this is a boy i am going to paint the room white haha. to be fair my entire house is a shade of gray or pink.

@carries2018 One room is okay (I probably still wouldn't do it!) but some people don't have a lick of color in their entire house. I don't understand!!

@jessafishy we have white walls because we rent. I'd love to paint though!! I can't wait until we buy our forever home- next year. 

UO: More so for my area : scrapple ( Maryland staple)  is absolutely horrid!! Pork roll ( Jersey girl here) is where it's at!

@mrs_fogue I don't mind the smell and when I oil pulled, I used it. I just think it's bandwagon that people are jumping on and it irritates me.

We rent, but our landlord is wonderful and a little aesthetically obsessed so he painted the bedroom a pretty nice shade of grey-blue. Not what I would pick, but I appreciate the change from eggshell! I hate when people's houses are just varying shades of beige, like my MIL's.

i hate the phrase "i love you to the moon and back" it is so overused it makes me twitch. like i get it. you love the person.

@reneeannemm @jessafishy totally with you on the paint.  Beige is horrid!  Our whole house was one dark beige shade when we moved in.  I'm a room and a half away from getting it all painted.  The babies room is the last full room so it's definitely on the list this year.  Just waiting to see if it's a boy or a girl.

I'm not against beige, per se, just not for an entire house. I am planning to go with a warm greige for this baby's nursery with whites and coral/light orange as accent colors! DS's room is light grey with yellow and green-blue accents.

How about "Shoot for the moon- even if you miss you'll land among the stars!"

No you won't, because the moon is way closer than any stars.

@jessafishy lol you would hate my house. When we moved in everything was this horrible dark tan. We painted everything white or a very light grey. My style is very mid-century modern. I do have lots of color in my rugs, accent pillows, etc. though.

I hate when people constantly complain about their SO. You chose them, you knew what you were getting into.  I am not talking about every once and a while.  I am talking about everyday their SO has done something.  Holy drama momma slow your roll- you picked them.

meh, i think it depends on the relationship which you may not have all the information to. me and H joke back and forth all the time about our grievances with each other, which the outside world might not know we are joking. probably because there is some truth to it. but we know we love each other, but things annoy us. i'd rather express that then bottle it up.

also some people have really crappy relationships, and they didnt know the real person before they got married or whatever. and them complaining is reaching out for help.

i get there is a line...respect...annoying...and all of that. but what your line is, might not be the line for others. as long as the couple is cool with it. whatevs.

On a related note... I hate when couples gush about each other on Facebook when I know their relationship is a hot mess. If you want the world to think your marriage is perfect, maybe don't tell me all the shitty shitty things you and your husband do to each other.

@jessafishy, growing up my parent's house was all white walls and natural wood trim. We would beg for my mom to let us paint and she wouldn't. Finally when I was in highschool they added a second story on to their house and let us paint our bedrooms, living room, and kitchen, but the bathrooms got left white. Just a quirk of my mom's. Now when we move this year we're going to be moving into a small as in 480 square foot mobile home until we can afford to build and I'm trying to decide whether to do a nice greige color or just white throughout to make it feel bigger. I can completely understand the problem you have with white I guess is what I'm trying to say but at the same time sometimes it does help a house to be all just one color.

I know this is definitely unpopular and is probably going to erk a lot of you... but I HATE making the bed and think it is such a waste of time. I rarely do it, unless people are coming over and might see it, or if I happen to be taking pictures where the bed is visible (for example, bump pics will likely be taken in the bedroom mirror, with bed visible).

This is more like a FFFC, but I'm the exact same way!  I straighten the sheets out at night before I climb in but that's about as made as my bed gets.  The decorative pillows mostly get taken over by the dogs.  They love our big euro pillows.

@beezeemarie I hate making the bed also but I also feel so much better about my life when it's neatly made and like @reneeannemm LOVE getting into a freshly made bed at night.

I was doing good for awhile at making it daily but I've gotten out of the habit. Mostly because I like to take mini-naps when I'm home for lunch.

@beezeemarie to me, making the bed is throwing the blankets up in a semi-organized fashion. No hospital corners at my house!

I mean, I read something scientific last year that said making your bed everyday was actually unhealthy...so....yeah...I don't.

I can't believe I'm not alone on this, it seems like everyone I know is all crazy about made beds!

2. Totally agree with the White walls opinion. I think white walls are just dull. I grew up in a home with ONLY white walls. It was almost oppressing.
3. People who gush on social media ALL the time (not once in a while) usually are compensating for something or want to fool others. Don't buy it!

I tried. I made it about halfway through the first episode before I spaced out. Then, after some prodding from people at work, I went back and finished it. Even tried a second episode. 

I'm just not into it. I legit do not know another person who is not obsessed with it.

I feel so alone.

i don't think people should post about something before the announcers. For example - when friends post congratulations about an engagement that the couple hasn't even announced. I get you were there and helped plan - but that's their moment and you broke the news on social media before they could. 

Or. When. Someone. Posts. A. Newborn. Picture. Before. The. Mom or dad. Does.

i love this show. but i can't with mandy moore. her face bugs me. it always has. i think something about her mouth? i dunno but i hate her character bc of her. but i want Randall and beth to adopt me. and/or i want to run away with jack.

I also hate making the bed but can't stand getting in a messy one so I make it at night right before climbing in!

I also love color on the walls. We are getting ready to finish our basement so I have a lot of paint to pick out!

I make my bed because it's really easy? Just pull the duvet up and straighten it. I wouldn't if I had to deal with a bunch of sheets.

We don't have all white walls but I do like the minimalist neutral vibe.

I liked the first few episodes of This Is Us but then it got really predictable and overdone. The last few episodes have been snoozefests.

I'll be back with a good UO. I have a few but they might be better saved for later in our pregnancies.

I do agree about announcements though! My family had strict orders not to post pictures of DD before me lol.

@beezeemarie The only time our bed is made is when I wash the sheets and put them back on lol. 

@jessafishy We live in military housing and our walls are all an off-white. I know some people do paint them, but you have to paint them right back to this color when you move out, so it's not worth it to me lol. One day, when we buy I'll have colorful walls lol.
