    I'm going absolutely crazy. I'm so ready for this cycle to be over, one way or the other.

    My symptom spotting is out of hand. I'm feeling a ton of stuff that could be pregnancy symptoms, but most likely just AF symptoms. However, my last 'natural' (without Provera) AF was in July or August and I don't really remember any of these symptoms, but I was earlier on in TTC so I probably wasn't quite as obsessive and I wasn't temping, which has been adding to my crazy this cycle. The biggest thing is for a few days I've been getting cramps that only last for a few seconds and then go away. I don't remember ever getting cramping until the first day of AF, and those cramps were constant until I took a painkiller.

    Doesn't help that my O date has been moved a bunch of times. If I don't get my period by CD 36 (I'm on CD 34 right now--O was moved from CD 18 to CD 21) I don't know what I'm going to do with myself (unless I get a BFP...but I've taken a bunch of tests and keep getting BFNs sooo...yeah).

    Okay, end rant. :)

    ETA: GTKY: There are friendships that have ended, even if they just sort of fizzled, that I'm not upset about.

    @GoldenKeys thanks for the welcome!

    @MJDsquared sorry for the BFN. Hopefully it's just too early for you to get one. I do know that some women get cramps when they are pregnant and everything is just fine. I hate that our bodies can be so tricky all the time.

    Still jo diagnosis for me yet. Going for my 3D and saline ultrasounds today after work. I have done my bloodwork (except for the insanely expensive karotype testing) and DH has done his SA. We will meet with our RE in April to discuss next steps.

    I posted this in the other board but realized it was for last week. Anyone have any advice before my saline u/s today? I've already had and HSG (a few months ago)...are they pretty similar? Getting kinda nervous and will be going by myself today. I have a high pain tolerance...it seems like I just get worked up ahead of time to realize that it was no big deal.

    Not much going on for me this week.  As I mentioned in a later post last check in, IUI was cancelled due to a probable cyst on my left ovary.  DH and I BD'd just in case so I am in my TWW.  I have to go in at the start of my next cycle for another ultrasound to see if the cyst is gone.

    QOTW: I don't really think I can say that I have burned any bridges.  I've had old high school/college friendships that just kind of disintegrated on their own accord as happens from time to time.

    Hi ladies!

    I'm still waiting for my blood test next week. I feel totally out though. No symptom spotting for me because there are no symptoms. Zero. Not one twinge, cramp or anything. Last week I had some intense cravings but it was like 1 dpo so there's no way it's related. I just want to get AF so I can try again. I'm only 8 DPO so I'm going to wait maybe 3 more days before I do a home test...but I really do think I'm out. This was my first month with the trigger and I seemed to respond well so I'm game for another round next month.

    Fx for everyone else here that it's their month!

    QOTW: I can't say that I've really burned any bridges. DH and I used to attend a church that was super hipster and "cool" and really exclusive...more like a hipster club and not a church. After attending for 5 years we called them out on it and left....we were pretty good friends with a lot of the people there and not one has talked to us since. No regrets.

    @MooFish2364 Maybe take an advil beforehand? Is the saline u/s the same as the sono? Because my sono was bad....it's only like 3 seconds of pain but it was intense.

    @MooFish2364 - it's pretty similar to the HSG, but I thought not as uncomfortable. GL!

    BFN for me, AF came a whopping 5 days earlier than she did last month. This makes 2 failed IUIs, and one failed clomid cycle - so 3 treatments that haven't worked.

    We're going to move on to the next IUI+clomid cycle as soon as we can, and we're going to give it our best shot, but I have actively started thinking about how we'll pay for IVF. The more I get into it, the more the success rates terrify me - even at my clinic, which reports a 61% chance of success for women under 35, I look at that and I think: "Holy - a 40% chance of failure."

    I said to my H last night: "Am I trying too hard? Am I pushing too hard? I feel like I'm crazy - like I keep contorting us into these wild positions just for a chance of success, and we keep failing. When am I going to get the memo?" I was upset not just about the BFN and the possibility of more treatments, but also what that will mean for us financially - how we'll have to restructure our investments/debt, and what it will do to our lifestyle in the immediate future. I'm angry that even though I pay into insurance/my taxes, there is SO little support for my specific health problem. I'm angry that we will have to make more sacrifices than we have already, and I'm angry that I work so much to support other people's health issues, and they seem to think my issue, infertility, is not as "worthy" of support as theirs. (I mean this in the abstract, of course.)

    Anyway, feeling pretty depressed. It's a lot of work for me to even shower, lately... Ugh.

    QOTW: I don't regret any of the bridges I've burned. Some of them, I feel like, I threw gasoline on them while they were burning, just so I could watch them flame up faster.

    I think I was more affected by losing friends/people when I was younger, but I also think I cared more about what other people thought of me - I had more of a people-pleasing impulse. I still struggle with that on occasion, but overall, I find I care less about the bridges I burned then now than I did at the time. Does that make sense?

    The pain has lessened with age! ... but maybe that's just the IF-related depression? A new numbness? I dunno.

    Lets see. I got the results of my blood-work and it was all normal. I had my ultrasound and it was normal as well. I also had a developing follicle during the ultrasound, so that's good? (terminology is new, sorry). My OB prescribed me Clomid, which I was surprised about because I do ovulate. I still need to get DH tested, he is avoiding it.

    On one hand them not finding anything is a relief, but on the other hand I was hoping she would find something that was easily corrected. I guess we shall see how the Clomid goes.

    @vintageandrea90 Some people don't have symptoms at all, so FX that's you!
    @funkykey I'm also really frustrated by the insurance situation. I'm also pretty frustrated with DH because last night he was looking up adoption and he was like, "Wow, it costs $30,000." Like what the hell, we haven't even started fertility treatments!!! Not sure if he just doesn't like the idea of treatment, thinks it won't work, or what...
    @Charligirl28 That's tough, it's nice that there's nothing wrong, but like you said, how do you fix it then? FX Clomid helps!

    @MJDsquared - haha. Well, at least he's invested and starting to learn about this whole world.

    You know, when I was younger, I thought adoption would be an option for me, but then I met DH and I really wanted to have his baby, specifically - it was a totally new impulse. And now here we are!

    I'm with you though, like: "One step at a time, honey. Let's see what we can do with our doctor, and if everything goes sideways, then we can consider other options." Like - all in good time, you know? But no racing ahead, not until we've seen this journey through. I'd be exactly where you are, with the: "Like what the hell, we haven't even started fertility treatments!!!"

    @funkykey I thought the same thing! I actually said I would never get married, and I'd never have a baby, but maybe adopt one. Annnd now here we are, and I would really like to create a baby that shares our DNA. But if we exhaust that, I'd be willing to adopt, but it'll be a few years before we could start that process.

    @funkykey Sorry for the BFN. BFNs after treatment cycles suck worse than natural cycles even. Even though IUIs have a low success rate, it's hard not to feel scared and disappointed and wonder if it means anything that the IUIs didn't work. For me, it's hard sitting with the unexplained diagnosis and (at least in my case) no prior history of conceptions. I find myself wondering whether conception is biologically possible for us. Ooof.

    It is an absolute abomination that insurance (throughout the country) isn't required to cover infertility treatments. Because it's a medical issue just like any other.

    Popping in to just say hi!  I am just anxiously awaiting AF so we can do our next transfer.  I should have my CD1 in about a week if all goes as planned.  With the loss it could possibly mess it up but we will see!  I haven't told anyone we are trying again so I will probably be blowing up this group with ramblings when things start to happen haha. Sorry in advance!

    GTKY- I hate to see friendships fizzle out but I try to remind myself that everything happens for a reason.  Doesn't help in the moment or make me feel responsible in someway for the relationship failing but I know it's true.

    @notamyrtle I'm disgusted by the lack of insurance support for infertility.  DH ended up staying in a job simply because the insurance covers a lot of our stuff.  It meant he didn't progress in his career but right now this is more important.

    @funkykey I'm sorry AF showed up for you.  She's never there for us when we actually need her and loves to show her ugly face when we don't want to see her.

    @MJDsquared I have my FX for you! Even if you think you are BSC with the SS!

    @MooFish2364 GL! I haven't had those tests yet so I have no insight, but I hope they are quick and painless for you!

    @vintageandrea90 FX for you!

    @funkykey no! :( so sorry for the BFN! Hugs to you! Insurance is the worst! We have (what I thought was) pretty decent insurance, but we have absolutely no IF coverage at all. Which I expected, but still really sucks. It sucks to have to plan and budget and change your spending habits and lifestyle for this when other people can do it for free.  Hang in there girl!

    @Charligirl28 FX clomid does the trick for you!

    AFM, a whole lot of nothing. I am WTO, but I AM OFF THE BENCH NOW (yay!!) so at least we an DTD now ;)

    We have our RE appointment next week and I'm kind of excited to get this show on the road. I am sure it will be a lot of information, but does anyone have any suggestions for questions I should ask? I am assuming they will start with our history and some more tests, but beyond that I don't really know what to expect.

    QOTW: The only bridge that I've burned that I can think of is a friend that I had in high school. We had a lot of fun together and I was friends with her for several years, but she did she some shady stuff. I got to a point where I realized I didn't want to really be friends with someone like her because she wasn't a good person. So I just cut the friendship off and I've never regretted it. She reached out to me a few years later asking if we could work it out but I shut that down!

    @funkykey sorry about this cycle . FX for next cycle.

    @MJDsquared I feel you on the symptom spotting. It has been so long without a natural  cycle (2 or 3 in the 3 years I've been TTC) that I don't really remember what I would feel like before AF.

    AFM, I took my last prometrium last night so I will hopefully get AF soon. My mood has been swinging back and forth between excited and depressed this week. Excited because maybe I will actually ovulate this cycle with the trigger, depressed because I've had 7 medicated cycles and not a single one have I ovulated and my mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

    QOTW: i haven't really burned any bridges, but I do miss the friends I had while I was in the military.

    Hi ladies I'm mobiling so it's tough to respond to everyone but I am on board with the crew that has no IF insurance, other than IF our insurance is great but for this situation nada. DH and I got a 0% APR Amex that won't accrue interest until 6/18 so we're using that and by 6/18 maybe we'll have enough equity in our house to take out a loan and pay the cc off. Hoping we don't walk away with 20K+ in debt but if we do at this point it's worth it. My husband just keeps telling me "it's only money babe and as long as we make payments no one will arrest us for having debt."

    Im heading in tomorrow for a baseline u/s. The RE already said that she only wants to proceed if there are no cysts larger than 5mm be last time I had a 5mm cyst and it threw a wrench into the monitoring because they weren't sure if the dominant follicle I was showing wasvthe cyst or an actual follicle.

    QOTW: I try very hard to maintain the friendships I've made over the years so no bridge burning there but I did have a boss that I caught doing sketchy things with department money so I went to his boss and told her. She didn't do anything about it, he HATES me for trying to get him fired (I had put in my notice at that point so I didn't care) and I know he'll never give me a good reference even though I was very good at my job. So I pretty much torched that bridge but don't have a single regret.

    @vintageandrea90 **TW Loss Mentioned** I didn't have any symptoms with my first BFP. I did get light cramping but not until after AF was late. So you're not out yet! I start counting myself out when I get symptoms because I get them with AF every time

    @funkykey thanks. My saline sono was actually a bit more intense than my HSG actually. The technician said it would be easier but she had a hard time getting through my cervix and she injected the saline like 3 separate times. But overall it still wasn't that big of a deal.

    @Charligirl28 I just had a sono yesterday and saw quite a few follicles. It was pretty cool! The technician said "wow, you are already growing some follicles here, look!"  I'm like, well at least that is happening.

    @Kim41313 I just had my first RE appointment a few weeks ago. Mine just went over our records and history and ordered basic initial tests like bloodwork, semen analysis for DH, and sonograms for me (3D, vaginal, and saline).

    @Kate437 sorry about your mom. I'm glad they caught it early.

    @SoonToBeMommaHowe good luck with your baseline sono! I don't know much about those...are they just looking at your follicle growth?

    Update: went in for my baseline u/s and I'm benched - they found two cysts on my left ovary.

    I'm pretty choked with my clinic. Again, yesterday (CD1), I had to push, like: "do you think I should come in for an u/s, since I responded so much to the clomid last cycle, and also have a history of cysts?" The nurse was like: "Ok, if you insist" (basically - I'm paraphrasing.) And then this morning, the doctor was all: "Good thing you came in!"

    Not loving it, that's for sure.

    @funkykey :( oh no! Do they have a plan to get rid of the cysts or do you just wait it out? That really sucks that you have to be so on top of them a it everything ...  Are there any other clinics in your area you could switch to?

    @funkykey I'm sorry to hear you're benched.  Like the last posted said can you possibly switch clinics?

    @Kim41313 - the plan is to wait it out this month and then check in next CD2.

    @Worldtravler0522 - I dunno. I mean, I've thought about it, but part of me thinks it's not going to be much better anywhere else. The clinic I'm at is the best one in our city, and right when we were first signing up, its main competitor was in the news about a sperm donor lawsuit - basically, this couple had used donor sperm and the sperm bank had lied about the mental health of the donor. DH and I were like: "That's a hard pass."

    DH thinks they aren't quick to give us ultrasounds because they don't charge much for them - we're OOP for the treatments, but things like the ultrasounds and bloodwork they don't charge extra for, it's as-needed. DH is like: "this is human nature, sweetheart - they only hustle when they have to."

    I guess we're getting what we pay for?

    @funkykey OMG I would stay put for sure!  I have struggled with my clinic at times but ultimately feel like I'm in a better spot.  I'm happy you pushed them and you found out sooner rather than later you had cysts to deal with.

    In all seriousness, sorry to hear about the cysts.  Cysts are lame and stink big time.  Hopefully you will be clear to go next cycle. fx

    @funkykey & @hoffmanr7 so sorry to hear about your cysts! I had a big one last cycle and was so disappointed. They're so frustrating.

    This cycle showed very slow follicle growth for me again. I have 15 follies on my right ovary and 14 on my left. This cycle the RE put me on 100mg of clomid and 0.25 of dexamethasone. I had one follicle that measured in at 11 and  that were 10's. The nurse called last night and cancelled this cycle (after three ultrasounds to check for growth). They're under the impression that my follies won't grow because I have so many. So next Monday (CD 22) we're going to progress to a step up cycle. I'll go in for a progesterone check and bump up to 150mg of Clomid with dexamethasone again. Hopefully this will be the magic number!

    @MJDsquared hang in there (not that you have a choice)!!
    @MooFish2364 ouch 3 times!
    @vintageandrea90 ah man, no symptoms is almost worse... instead of getting a TWW of hope, you get a TWW of nothing to google! Hugs.
    @funkykey damn it, I'm so sorry :/ although at least an early-AF means you can go again sooner (really stretching for that silver lining!)? Damn it - I just read your update. Too right you are angry! DH and I have had similar thoughts about our clinic... we seem to have to bully them into action. Why can't we just pay someone to be on top of everything and CARE about the outcome!
    @charligirl28 Hooray for that follicle!
    @MJDsquared ooooh that's a brave DH... I hope he's OK after uttering those words to a DW TTTC  ;)
    @Worldtravler0522 come on AF!
    @Kim41313 good luck with the RE - I didn't realise that that 1st RE appointment is the only (free!) one I'd get until completing their "suggested" round of IUIs... so ask lots of questions! I wished I'd asked more info about the details of getting the best IUI chances possible (e.g. monitored cycle vs OPKs at home, when to BD vs when to save it up, etc).
    @Kate437 oh I'm so sorry - that's a tough tough week. Huge hugs to you and your mum.
    @Tops... you should at least invest in clearblue stocks! Bloody hell CD85  :s
    @SoonToBeMommaHowe that is so unfair she didn't fire him... just left you there to take the heat! Grr...

    AFM: I had my ultrasound yesterday - they didn't check the follicle size, but two days before I had three around the 15 - 16mm range. When she left the room I was so tempted to get DH to switch on the ultrasound wand and have a go at follie hunting! :D

    We'd thought I wasn't going to +OPK until today, so we BD about 8hrs before the IUI... so DHs numbers weren't great. Which ironically spurred him on to try and produce mega sperm this month so he can show off his numbers to the buddy he bumped into in the cafe below the clinic! Turns out a good freind works in the same building - so I guess we are sharing our IF with him now!

    So TWW for me now - I thought I would be chirpier after the IUI, but I still feel just as miserable. It's an excellent insight into the world of depression - I did not understand it until now. Hopefully I can at least use this experience to be a more supportive and understanding human.

    QOTW: I've always been a people pleaser and gone to great lengths to prevent any arguing or anger in my life... until TTTC! Now I'm useless - I wouldn't say I've permanently burned bridges, but I have a lengthy list of people who I can't see right now. Poor DH keeps having to go to dinners without me, as I just can't face insensitive folks anymore!

    @MountainLady FX this is your last TWW! I'm sorry you're feeling down. It really sucks. And reminds me that people around me may be going through things that I have no idea about. It also makes me want to punch people who are insensitive even accidentally. DH's cousin has been driving me insane as of late, I guess because she's the closest family member of ours who has young children. (We don't even live near her, it's all social media stuff.)

    UGH @Kate437 - so lame! Do you need a colposcopy? I had one years and years ago, after I had two abnormal paps in a row... It turned out to be nothing - thankfully! FX yours is too! (My abnormal paps were likely caused by a reaction to wearing underwear made out of non-breathable fabrics, no joke! Now, it is all cotton, all the time. ;) )

    Total (slightly political) aside: I'm actually pretty angry that the HPV vaccine isn't mandatory for school-aged girls. It's mandatory where we are, but it's rare in other jurisdictions. It makes me so sad!

    Hey guys!  So sorry to stay gone for so long, I just had to...been a really hard couple months for me.  I went back to the RE in February for my recurring miscarriage bloodwork, it did show a possible clotting issue and also a single mutation of MTHFR (he says it isn't really considered a problem unless it's 2 or more?) The worst part is he just wants me to repeat the test in TEN weeks...so we're in a holding pattern until then.  My husbands bloodwork came back and we don't have any chromosomal issues there so that's good at least.  I'm really struggling emotionally these days, a lot of our friends who have a baby are starting to announce #2 and it's killing me.  Anyway, sorry to come back and be such a Debbie downer!  I am so happy to check back in and see you guys again, love to you all!

    @Kate437 Ooof, good luck with the PAP stuff... hope it's a false alarm...

    I've been doing better the past couple of days, relatively speaking. I dunno, it's a monthly oscillation between not caring too much (during my follicular phase) and bad PMS/despondency during my luteal phase.
