hi everyone, has anyone ever had BV while pregnant? Did you take any medication?
This would be better in a weekly symptoms thread or your weekly check in thread. One off posts tend to be frowned upon. That being said I've had BV but not while pregnant. If you think you may have it, please go to your doctor so he/she can help you get rid of it.

@lexyxo Hello! I don't recall seeing you here before. Just as a general guideline, this board is run more as a community than a one off question forum. The ladies here are really awesome and supportive once you get involved! I would suggest posting an introduction in the introduction thread, reading the **read this first** thread, and then posting about this in the weekly symptoms thread. I'm sure you'll get a lot more responses then.
Pertaining to your issue, I have never had BV period, and I don't know how they treat it during pregnancy. I would definitely make sure you talk to your OB if you haven't already and find out what they recommend. Hope to see you around here more!

@lexyxo, I can see that you've posted a couple times before, but not since November, which is why I hesitate to respond, as this wasn't in the symptoms thread mentioned by @SaphireSweetie88 and @kerils.
However, in the name of helping you out, I had BV at 11 weeks. I was asymptomatic and had no idea until the doctor told me I did. I am prone to it (just the way my body does things) so it didn't come as a surprise, but it can cause preterm labor or miscarriage early on. My doctor treated me with metrinazole (excuse the spelling on that) gel. There is a pill form as well, but my doctor prefers to avoid the oral medication during pregnancy. The BV cleared up within a week.

I've had it on and off since 7 weeks of pregnancy. I took Metrogel and Clindamycin in my first trimester and oral flagyl at about 17 weeks. I've been drinking a lot of Kefir with probiotics and I've found that helps with the PH being off balance.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
@dancegurl1118, I actually find that very helpful/interesting. I'll have to try that, as I struggle with this as well. I've had BV multiple times before - like I said, just the way my body likes to handle PH levels for me, and I'm always asymptomatic, so I never know when I have it. It's an annoyance at this point, rather than a serious concern, but I'd be very interested to see if that helps me.

I had one at the beginning of my pregnancy and didn't know about it until I had my exam. Since I didn't have any symptoms they didn't want to send in a prescription. At my next appointment i mentioned it to my midwife who was annoyed I was given any medication for it and prescribed the same thing @ktewart was.
